the location is ideal. It is right next to a 7/11 so easy to get cash, right next to delicious restaurants, and right next to shimatori! It is right near the tram and a taxi stop right out side! Perfect to get anywhere and enjoy kumamoto! The bathroom was pristine and everything was great. Staff were very excellent and helpful! It was well worth every penny!

Decent hotel downtown”
We were only passing through Kumamoto and needed a place to stay. The parking location is across the street in a parking garage. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was fine. Everything was clean. This would be a great place to stay if you were exploring downtown Kumamoto.

The location was great because you could walk everywhere. The walls may be thin though, because I could hear snores coming from the next room. It’s right beside the tram stop which is really great to drop off the luggage and go out and explore the city.

great location if you are travelling by bus -- the hotel is located just opposite to the bus terminal, and there is tram station right in front of the hotel. Kumamoto Castle is just about 7minutes walk. It is situated right next to the shopping arcades. Like other Tokyu Hotels, room size is satisfactory and Pola products are offered. Price is reasonable, even it may be a little bit higher than other hotels in Kumamoto.

REI is at the edge of the Kumamoto shopping area. 15 minutes walk from Kumamoto Castle. Bed size is comfortable for couples. Very good price performance. As we arrived REI at mid-night, the hotel parking was full, we parked at the public car park right next to REI.

Recommended despite minor flaws”
Convenient location right next to the bus stop and the shopping area, and within walking distance from Kumamoto Castle. The room is very clean and looks bigger than in the picture. Some minor problems are that the hotel smells a bit off, and because of the white lights the atmosphere can feel a bit clinical, but overall I'd recommend it to those who want cleanliness and comfort at a good price.

It is a great place for solo traveler ,the bus stop is just front the hotel it is convenience to get there from JR station.there several shopping malls and shopping street just near the hotel and the kumamoto castle and kumamon square are aslo not far away within 15min walks

Closed to restaurant, bar, shopping streets, shopping mall, 10 mins walk to Kumamoto Castle or only 2 stop by tram. We are a group of 4 and we book one smoking one non smoking room, but no matter you choose smoking room or non smoking room, the room has strong cigaratee smell.

Nice choice at Kumamoto”
The location is good. You can walk to the Kumamoto City, the shopping streets and resturants easily. We took the airport bus from Fukuoka Airport and the hotle is near the terminal. We booked a triple room and the room is really large.

This location was awesome. It right beside the covered shopping street. It is also within walking distance to the Sakura baba josaien (which is kind of overhype since it is flooded with PRC) and Kumamoto castle. There is parking onsite as well at 1080yen /day. They gave us a 2 double bed room which was quite a good size. Room seems dated in the decor but very clean and toilet is great as well! For the 2 days we stayed there. We didn't even drive at all which was a good break from all the road trip driving.
