Stellar in Every Way! Perfect for relaxing and even better for romantic couples”
It's the type of resort that makes it hard to leave - in every way possible: huge multi bath + sauna onsen; 5 themed private onsen baths anyone can go into (great for couples ;-)); extremely authentic japanese breakfast with western option and you get a buffet option *on-top* of the breakfast, free tea and beverages throughout the day into the late night, late night "bite" which is a heaping bowl of ramen plus and optional side, and just convenience all around. Great theming, great facilities, super clean and client, amazing room design, and just relaxing through and through. Worth many return visits! Note: both public and private baths have indoor and outdoor baths.

Nice location and good service”
Good service and clean. Both Dinner and breakfast are plentiful and delicious. Rooms are clean. Price is reasonable. Will be better if they have more instructions in English. However, staff are very helpful and try their best to explain. Location is good, right opposite to the train station of the Arashiyama station of the Hankyu Arahiyama Line. But is also accessible by bus (route 28 & 73) outside the Kyoto JR train station. We took a stroll down from hotel to Togetsukyo Bridge in the morning. It was very pleasant and peaceful.

Wonderful, refreshing, relaxing refuge”
We loved our stay here! I recommend getting a room on the side that faces away from the bus stop, otherwise this place was absolutely lovely. We used the private onsens and they were clean and hot. We wished we had booked more than one here!

good choice”
very near to one of the arashiyama station (but not the JR arashiyama station), onsen is clean and nice, though a bit small, which can cater around 15 ppl each time. They got private onsen which is a very good choice for couples. Rooms are a bit small, comparing to other onsen hotels, but it is spacious enough to stay overnight. Dinner are fairly good, with an excellent service as well as unlimited alcohol and juice supply. All in all, a good onsen hotel.

Awesome experience with great service”
We stayed in Kadensho for 1 night with our 2 years old boy. I’d say the resort offers great onsen experience & even my little boy enjoyed the bath with us. They’re pretty thoughtful to include facial mask for us to be used after the hot bath. Felt so rejuvenated especially after a long day of walking around. Their staff are extremely attentive & thoughtful. I’d like to give special credit to the staff who attended to us during dinner, her name is Ko. The food quality was awesome & room is spacious. It’s very near to the metro which makes it easy for us to commute in or out from the town. Thumbs up.

Was in Kyoto for two days with family and toddler, this was a great place to rest over night with kaiseki dinner and Japanese breakfast with buffet. The place is clean with several private spa room with different themes, great for family. Staffs are very friendly and speaks enough English to make you feel very welcome and hospitable. Would stay again when in town!

The room is big that I have space to open 3 luggages. 5 private onsen to choose in the hotel. The dinner(traditional style) and breakfast(Western Style) is so so so great. Just next to the train station(so close).

Two Night Stay, no meal package”
I had two nights at this onsen wtihout the breakfast/dinner plan. Having the ability to go to the private (open air) onsen whenever I wanted without reservation was quite fantastic (evening and early morning I thought were prime times). Even without the meal package, there's a nice izakaya (Akakura) nearby and other restaurants in arashiyama park so I didn't think I missed too much. The room I had was very spacious and the AC was great to have to beat the humidity. The main thing I wasn't sure about was whether the yukata rental was free but I should've asked since they looked really nice. The soft drink machine with tea and coffee was also nice to save a bit of cash for coffee/tea/soda. Only other tip I have is if you're taking the bus to Kyoto Station, make sure you have exact change (230円).

It was a great experience!”
We booked this hotel for one night and even though it was a bit on the pricey side it was definitely a great experience! Glad we chose the option of Kaiseki dinner, a must try for sure!

Pretty relaxing ”
It was conveniently located in the heart of Arishayama. I traveled with my aunt to treat her for Mother’s Day and we were able to see a few sights and enjoyed the city. I recommend to include dinner since the establishments around the area close at 5pm. Thankful for the taxi driver who took us from the train to the inn. He also gave us a map and pointed at the mini stop which is located nearby to grab something for dinner. Options for breakfast were pretty good, I just wished the type of breakfast provided to us, aside from the buffet, was explained a little better. Overall, it was a really nice experience. The staff are accommodating even when they speak a little English. Google translate was very useful!

The place, food and staff are good.”
The price is comparatively expensive than the 3-4 star hotels. However, the facilities provided for the hot springs are all excellent. It was worth to pay for it.

Great hospitality and thoughtful staff ”
My friend left her watch in the room and they kindly send to another hotel as we requested. It was not an expensive watch but memorable one for her.

Excellent”
Wonderful onsen for the price! I arrived early and left my bags with them which were waiting for me in my room when I came back to check in after sightseeing. although it's in a beautiful area and located across the street from a train station I gave it a satisfactory on the location since the train line that runs to it isn't from Kyoto station. There is another station with a train running from Kyoto station but it's a long walk with heavy luggage so I recommend a taxi from that station or one directly from Kyoto station which is what I did but be warned it's a hefty taxi fare. Other than that the food and baths were wonderful! They have 5 private baths on a first come first serve basis (so be prepared to wait a bit if you want those unless you go earlier in the evening). There is also a free hot and cold drink bar along with ice cream in the evening and probiotic drinks in the morning, as well as a massage parlor for an additional fee of course but the massage was excellent!

Exceptional”
Ryokan experience is fantastic. The private and public onsens a HUGE highlight. The resteraunt was also excellent for breakfast with a mixture of traditional and international food. In walking distance of the highlights of Arashiyama (main street, monkey park, temples, etc..).A great place to experience the more traditional Japan.

Nice and clean room. One of us is a vegetarian and the hotel nicely prepared other dishes. Staff is very friendly, able to communicate with English easily.

It is near by the Arashiyama station. There is a convenient shop at the opposite of the hotel. The hot spring was good and the bed room was tidy. However we were unsatisfying with the dinner.
