It was such a pleasant stay”
We had such a great time at Laguna. Everything was perfect. I do have one very tiny comment to make. The food was much better few years ago. Hope they will put more choices for small children next time.

Nice but crowded during holiday periods !”
There is small house reef at the corner of the beach just in front of the hotel, which makes it great for a quick snorkeling. However during peak holiday period (June - July), the hotel is nearly full with guests. Pretty much everywhere (and in particular the beach front) is really noisy. The snorkeling trips that depart at 9.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. are in large boats which are crammed with guests. So if you go on this particular snorkeling jaunt, be prepared to see more people than fishes ;) On the other hand, the rooms are clean and well kept, great swimming pool and staff are attentive. If you like quiet resorts like I do, probably go during the off peak period (Feb - April, Oct - Nov).

Great place to stay. If you book through Agoda, your package won't include lunch and dinner, whereas if you book directly with the resort, all meals will be included. Fret not, as there are plenty of affordable cafes and warungs nearby. Booking through Agoda will also include 1 complimentary snorkeling trip as compared to 3 trips if you book directly with the resort. Nonetheless, you are better off booking the special snorkeling trip to see the sea turtles as the corals on that trip are much nicer. All around a nice resort with plenty of facilities.

Relaxing resort. If you come here to relax, this is a good hotel. Staff are very helpful. They also organise great activities to fill-in your time. We were lucky that we came at the time when they organised a turtle hatchling release activity.

Strategy location ”
The resort is located in the best location. You can view sunrise everyday from the beach and snorkel in the beach near the resort. Their buffet meals were good, there were varieties in the menu. The rooms were clean and neat. The resort website have clear details about the ferry timings etc. It was helpful to plan the entire trip. They responded well to all my queries. Overall a good stay. Redang island is good for snorkeling, we saw lots of clown (Nemo) fishes , beware of jelly fishes. We were stung by many in the marine park. But none in the open sea.

Not bad at all”
The Premier Sea View is a very spacious room and comes with a huge balcony, which was great. The room was clean and included all the necessary amenities. It was an extremely comfortable stay. Only slight downside was that we were placed in Block 2, which is right next to the main lobby area so we could hear faint noises from that area. I recommend requesting for Block 1, which is further away from the lobby and situated nearer to the beach. The beach on the resort's front is beautiful and clean. It's a great spot for swimming for everyone as it has a good range of shallowness and depth, and the sea floor is soft sand therefore there's no need to worry about accidentally stepping on sharp corals. If you swim further in, there's a spot with corals and lots of marine life such as sharks, colourful fishes etc. Be careful of trigger fishes during nesting season though!
