Very comfortable and great location”

our stay was off season when much on koh lanta was closed. we only saw one other couple at the resort so i'm sure our visit would be very different if we came at peak time. the resort was maintained by skeleton staff and pretty well all the services were closed. the staff were however cheerful and helpful. we enjoyed the peace and usually had the beach to ourselves. being the off season meant that the waves were up [quite big] but making a shore dump and that there was a lot of rubbish that had been washed up on the beach. we loved our luxurious bungalow, very clean and comfortable. by the second day though there was a real stink coming up the drain. this seems to be a problem mentioned in the reviews of other hotels as well and i suspect it has something to do with the manner of waste disposal / lack of proper sewage. off season koh lanta was a wonderful peaceful break from the bustle of bangkok but if you want to party you would need to come at a different time.

Lanta Palm beach resort are located right in the middle of long beach (greatest beach on Lanta) so the location was very goog. We been upgrade to a "very luxery" bungalow and it was like a dream. Very light and welcomming. The bungalow was maybe 50m from the beach so it was good. But unfortunately so had we many ants in the shower, didn't know where they come from, my friends didn't have any so it was our lose. But the room was very nice, cant complain at all for that little price! Our time there was great! :)

Moved hotel”

As soon as we arrived before we even managed to get out of our taxi the owner sent us to a sister hotel called the Peaceful Resort. This was further away from the shops and further inland so not as close to the beach. The rooms and resort were clean and the staff very helpful. No choice at breakfast, just given a plate with 2 sausage, 2 toast, 1 egg and a side of fruit. Only drinks were orange or coffee. No where to get lunch, we had pit noodles from a local shop, and we walked to the beach for dinner, Lyms bar very good for food and drinks, but heading the opposite direction it was very limited and looked very run down, particularly around the area of the Lanta Palm Beach Resort which is why I suspect we were moved on. We spent 2 nights but 1 was enough.

Family bungalows”

We like Palm Beach Resort alot👍 Its not a resort tho, cause there is no pool area at the place. But the beach is a 1 minute walk from the bungalows, so we use beachstools there, and it's great Breakfast is not buffet, but you sit in the restaurant and order what you want from the menu, food is great, esp omelette with vegetables and cheese, we all Loved it. Palm Beach is definitely worth the money. It's our second time visiting here, and probly not the lady 😊

simple rooms, simple food, simple relaxing & simple activities... equal great holidays. it's hard sometimes watching the sunset over the indian ocean everyday whilst drinking a singha beer and wondering which restaurant or bar i'm going to venture to tonight. after that night out the next day being able to go for a snorkel, a swim or just relax on the beach... we figured out a word for it whilst lying on the beach.... paradise.

Very good location! Nice beachfront restaurant. You can walk on the beach and nice beachfront restaurants all the way. Restaurants closed usually early, around 22-23, but you can also find bars open later. A few shops just around the corner. Very nice beach. Worth for your money!

Since 2006 our favourite place to stay on Koh Lanta”

Since 2006 we have been here many times. Always in a basic superior bungalow. Very good prices and perfect location on the most beautiful part of Long Beach.

Loved this place! Stayed 6 more nights then planned. Affordable beach front units with AC! Book online though. Price was much higher if you approach them in person. Like 600 batt cheaper.

The restaurant tries to serve burgers and fails. Fries were fine though. I tried Indian menu and the curry was fine, the nan had flour all over it. Chicken fried rice was fine. Don’t order non-Thai, maybe. I just stopped going there. Better to go look into the road or in the next beach Restaurant. Rent a scooter, I didn’t and regretted not visiting Saladin and old town for markets and night activities. Rooms are fine (bungalows) somewhat dated, in good condition. I’m here for beach anyway.

As was said earlier many times - friendly and honest staff (there was a situation when they returned money which they could easily leave for themselves and we really appreciate that!), Good location (good beach, grocery store & ATM nearby), many restaurants around. However, very basic rooms (as I understand there are different rooms - newer and older, we had an old one). Very old cupboard, noisy and annoying AC (we had to fix it with paper, otherwise it was too cold to sleep as air blows directly to the bed). So ... you choose. Beach is the best one for kids, as there are no corals and just sand.

I can’t recommend it!”

We stayed at this hotel several times: I liked the beach and the restaurant .. But this year (deluxe room) everything was very bad: mold in the bathroom and toilet, mold in the refrigerator, there was only one electrical outlet in the room and it worked very poorly. Air conditioning is old and weak. Old furniture, rusty tables and broken chairs are scattered around the property. I have all the photos. Unfortunately, the hotel has deteriorated. I can’t recommend it, because I know beautiful hotels near Palm Beach and are not much more expensive.

Quiet and relaxing”

The bungalow was convenient and quiet. However, there are not many restaurants nearby, and the resort is far away from all the attractions of Long Beach. If you don't have a motorbike and don't want to pay 100 baht for taxi, it's better to rent a room more to the south, where all the restaurants are located, and close to the Animal Welfare. Most guests are families with children and old people, mainly from Northern Europe.

Location is amazing, right on the beach. New fanily/deluxe bangalows are really nice. Booked a regular co do but after multiple issues, air conditioning not working, shower head so dirty no water came out, go free upgrade to family bungalow. Staff was super nice and very helpful. Would stay again in renovated bungalow only. Over all 8 out of 10

Good”

The location is excellent.. The rooms are cleaned every day to a very good standard. Our bedroom was very nice, the bathroom less so, the sad thing was that there were ants marching along the walls in both rooms. I don't mind ants, they keep to themselves, but considering it is a 3 star resort, a little bit of maintenance could work wonders.. For the price, we were very happy, as it is right on the beach and close to good things, but without feeling too busy or touristy. .

Simple and wonderful ”

This place is great. Super laid back, simple bungalows and very friendly staff. Excellent location right at the beach, nice property with trees and plants. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Bungalow was simple but good. Has what you need for a nice relaxing beach vacation. Will be returning!

The suite was clean and smelled very nice. Resturant prices were a little high so we spent half our time at other places to eat. Shower drain in our bathroom was not piped so all that water went right underneath our shack. It didn’t bother me about the water draining there but the mosquitoes got in that way. We had to put the garbage bin over the drain.

Don’t be fooled by the price or the photos”

The so called “resort” is probably one of the worst places I have had the misfortune to come across. So you get a nice big room like in the photos, but what you don’t know is that the place is extremely neglected with insects crawlibg everywhere, horrible unclean bathroom, smelly towels and disgusting creepy “closet”. The a/c is pretty good and it would be great despite the fact you don’t get any blanket- only a sheet to cover up with. The place is cheap enough yet don’t think otherwise- you get less than what you pay for. If the management renovates the place and starts cleaning up- the place might live up to it’s potential- and there is lots of potential (bungalows 20m from the almost private beach and a friendly resort restaurant that of course is in no standard for eating in at the moment). The obly good experience from this place was the staff in the reception- he was very helpful and nice. He let us rent a scooter in a good condition for cheap and we liked him.
