Overall is ok comparing to the money we pay. However, there are a couple of points to improve. - Signages need proper English writing. - Bathroom needs a deep cleaning, - Mosquitos in the room, - AC is too hot although adjusted to 22 degree C
We spent 4 nights here in Feb/March 2019 and I wish it had been longer. What a fabulous spot on a long stretch of deserted sand with stunning sunsets. Our room was a twin, 2 double beds, the most comfortable I’ve slept in this trip! Lovely big room, teak floor, lots of cupboard and drawer space, big bathroom, seating area, desk and large patio overlooking the garden. I have never seen such a huge swimming pool! The beach bar does great cocktails for happy hour, the staff are very attentive, We noticed that most of the other guests were on an all inclusive deal. We just had breakfast included in our booking. We had a car and did some exploring, there isn’t really anything near the hotel apart from a small restaurant before the entrance so if you don’t have a car the all inclusive option is ideal. The menu for other guests was quite small but we enjoyed our evening meals, even though we only received the meal that we actually ordered once! The staff have a very limited grasp of English and although the menu has Thai translation I think some of the staff might have been Burmese because despite pointing at what we wanted on the menu, something else always arrived! We didn’t mind because, as I’ve said, what we got was delicious but this might be a problem for some guests. Cons: the staff need more English lessons, the reception staff were not very welcoming on arrival - I think they couldn’t find our booking initially so maybe that was why but they seemed very abrupt. That said, once they showed us to our room the were friendly. It is a big hotel but I think they need more cleaning staff, whilst the housekeepers worked flat out they clearly don’t have enough time to spend on each room. The floor tiles in our bathroom, especially in the shower, were grubby, particularly the grouting which was mouldy and black. I used a toothbrush and rubbed some of this and it came off easily so a little more time and attention to detail could rectify this problem. I felt that these few c
Nice and clean ”
If you like it calm and clean then this is the place to go. For me it was tooo steril. I prefer the place with a little more life. The pool is huge and around 100 meters long. The gym has some machines.
New and comfortable ”
This is a new resort. The rooms are humongous and the swimming is out of this world. I thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the beach. The food at the restaurants could be better though.
Good quite beach, the pool is great and at the time there were very few guest possibly because of the location but it made it more private. Hotel is far away from any food/activities or town compared to others. Limited to hotel food which was satisfactory but not big on choice. Also transport into town is expensive when organised through the hotel, you will need to organise prior.
Very good but... ”
Only perfect if no Chinese people there. They are loud and not care about people who want rest.
Excellent service, service mind, great staff, great location, excellent breakfast ,quiet and peace”
Big swimming pool, easily access to beach, quiet place and peaceful ,High quality of breakfast. Excellent service, service minded staff. Clean and tidy.great for relaxing.Big room .high recommended. Value of money.
Tucked Away Paradise”
Le Menara-Khoalak is a lovely resort beach front resort. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The breakfast offered an omelet station, bacon, fresh fruit, pastries and juices along with traditional Thai food. The only draw back is the location of the property. It is approximately 20 minutes from the down town area of Khoa Lak. There is nothing close to the hotel so you will need to make arrangements for travel if you wish to leave the hotel and explore. The hotel offers a shuttle once time a day at 4:00 pm to the city.
Spotlessly clean hotel with helpful staff ”
Le Menara Hotel is a new hotel with large clean rooms , white fluffy towels and comfortable beds. In room you will find everything you need to include -tea kettle, dressing gown, sleepers ,shampoo, conditioner etc , full size hair dryer, safe & umbrellas .They serve quite good breakfast, hotel pool is large & located on a lovely beach . Very helpful staff. However a few negative points -location is quite remote & would suit a people you are just happy to stay in hotel without venturing out. The hotel transport is quite expensive and if when you take a taxi from the city to hotel place is so little know that in most cases drivers cannot find it. Hotel must sort out issues with a pest control like other hotels in area do- mosquitoes and cockroaches in room is not pleasant- Other hotel’s usually spraying rooms or have some plug in anti mosquito gadget . Too many tripping steps all over the hotel ( small steps sometimes mixed with a large on, we seen elderly & kids are being hurt )
Fabulous pool area, very clean long beach”
The pool is unbelievable and the beach is very clean. Rooms very spacious. We had buffet breakfast included, but we chose to eat out for most of our other meals.
Newly opened, lovely rooms with wood floors and ceilings, inviting balcony. Pool incredible. ”
Staff are delightful, working hard to please. Breakfast buffet quite good though birds flitting about, landing on the service area not so good. Rooms excellent and nicely done. Poland beach fantastic. We had a car but those withou might find the location a bit remote, unless you just wish to relax and enjoy. Decent local beach restaurant nearby.
Fine hotel with a great beach”
We stayed two nights at honeymoon beach front villa. Villa was awesome as well beach too. Breakfast wasnt 5 star level of yet, because they had just start soft opening of hotel. But i think it will be great when they running full operated. Pool was biggest one we ever seen. All in all one of the most memorable staying in good way
Beautiful place not ready for prime time yet! Safety hazards, mosquito's and routines not in place ”
As much as i like the resort and friendly staff - Some big issues here. First: Yes got this at a promotional rate and they have only been open for 1 month. Huge safety hazards with sharp edges in the pool, no railings on bathrooms, taped electrical wires across walk paths that are completely unacceptable. OMG so many mosquito's being located around a swamp. Also every day our room got cleaned the staff let in dozens of mosquito's. Very few places around the resort and prices on it high and offerings very limited. First day breakfast was a joke for a 5-star resort. After complaining it got a lot better. Feels like they were waiting for more guests before making a real breakfast buffet. Final remark: Every day some higher up staff member asked me about feedback of their new resort. Pointing out some of the deficiencies I quickly got back "Well we just opened" and they lose interest in the conversation. The forth time i got the question my answer was "Just great, thanks!"
Brand new hotel: great beach, far off everything, expensive F&B”
The hotel is brand new. It has 5 stars, while we would give it probably 4.5 stars. As it was a softopening the room rate was very attractive; but unfortunatly the prices for food and beverage were quite steep. It’s far off everything. There are two restaurants in walking distance on the beach, which are comparatively good value. The beach is great. Wonderful place. But as mentioned, there is not much around.
Great New hotel Nice Staff”
Nice new hotel still busy with renovations. Great big pool with a nice view on the andaman sea. A la carte restaurant bit expensive and a la carte breakfast enough choice for everyone. Due to the renovation sometimes a bit noisy. But the hotel lays in a discrete natural environment. Enough facilitation area's like a big pool, gym, massage area and a children daycare. They also provide Mountain bikes to explore the area which is beautifull. For those who doesn't have a car can be arranged a taxi service or you can rent a scooter/motorbike. The sunset is beautifull and the beach is like 250 meters from the hotel. The staff is truly professional and doing the outmost to make your stay as comfortabel as they can. La Menara KhaoLak truly 5star worthy. .Thanks 4 having us here.
Tolles Hotel. lLeider viele Pauschalurlauber”
Tolles Hotel. Freundliches hilfsbereites Personal. Super Anlage . Toller Pool . Langer einsamer Strand.
