A bit far from center of Las Vegas. We really hard to walk on day light for only 1 KM in the summer as temperature quite very high. Not too much restaurant at there but you can walk to Mandalay Bay for good restaurant and so on.

Decent hotel”
Decent hotel for the price on the strip. Facilities are to be expected for a hotel of its age. Beware of the people in the lobby of the casino that try to rope you into a direct marketing timeshare scam. They appear to be hotel staff but they're just trying to sell you crap in return for your time.

Good value for money ”
The hotel is slightly off the strip but it's still a very convenient location. The room is spacious and clean. I was only disappointed that the pyramid king room that I paid for was not available at check-in and I was given only a double queen bedroom at the tower block (I think this room type was a few dollars cheaper to select while making the booking), yet I was told it was equivalent to an upgrade because the rooms are newer. Turned out our room was located on the ground floor with no view. Other than that, we're happy with our stay. $10 for 24-hour overnight parking was reasonable.

Great themed Vegas option”
On check in there was a massive queue but apparently this is normal at this hotel. I was glad I was in the towers rather than the pyramid as the rooms were quieter. Not much in the way of healthy food options so didn't dine at the hotel much. Great atmosphere. Room was comfy, good shower, comfy bed, easy to use safe, spacious. Downside, you hear the doors of neighbours slamming throughout the night. Not very sound proof. Gym was brilliant, everything you need is in there. Pool area is nice but sunbeds are in short supply. Pool doesn't open until 9am so people queue to get there. Pool is freezing but necessary with the heat of Vegas. All in all great hotel choice on the airport side of the strip. If I go back I'd either stay at the Luxor again or choose a hotel in the middle of the strip like the Bellagio or Mirage.

The receptionist lady was not friendly at all. The check in process took over an hour. The room was stink and the towels were used. Even trash can was not clean and the bed sheets were not changed. To summarise, it was not serviced room at all. Not recommended and will not come again.

The place needs to be remodel. Room are worn out , bath room is dirty with crack around the shower liner, no frig in rooms. No working ice machines on floor. Elevator is like an old mine runaway train ride. But at least that ride is free. But just needs a major renovation.

Good and Not Good”
The resort itself is neat and well decorated, and there's a fair number of things to do within the resort. The staff are nice, the rooms/elevators/hallways were run-down, the food was average. The rooms were fairly inexpensive but you still pay a high resort fee. Value for money was okay, but I suspect you could do better elsewhere on the strip.

I was surprised that the hotel room only had beds and closets. There wasn't a pair of slippers even until you request for it. No kettle to make coffee or small fridge or complimentary bottled water. The hotel looked like it badly needed maintenance and the lift was shaky. The only good thing here is the nice and helpful employees the hotel has.

Enjoyed the weeks stay”
This hotel was in a great location, on the bus route with a stop outside the door. Food in the buffet was very nice, had breakfast in it twice and used the all day wrist band for another day, plenty of smaller places to eat if you don't fancy a buffet. The room was large, very clean and friendly staff. The only thing I could say about this hotel is it smelt especially as you walked through the casino, I thought maybe all casinos were the same but we walked through many during our week in Vegas and others were lovely

Disappointing stay”
I thought we got a good rate, but then we had to pay a $35 per day extra for a resort fee which is mandatory. The room was basic, with no fridge, and the air was so dry I couldn’t sleep. A motel would have been better. At least the beds were comfortable. The pool was small, crowded, shallow and cold. A second larger pool was closed off. Would not recommend to anyone and would not stay again.

Doesn't aspect such hotel”
location was good, however didn't disclose the extra charges until we checked in. forced us to pay with USD 38.50 per person to utilize hotel gym and fitness facilities. This are the first time got cheated in traveling to US. Hotel room even have cockroach running around but been ignored. room is hot and air conditioning is bad with smell. understand the hotel served age but the maintenance is not up to standard. Equipped with fast check out but nothing can be used while need to wait in the queue line for 40mins just to do the checkout. Overall the experience was bad in this hotel, with extra charges (cheated due to didn't disclose before booking) are the main factor forcing us spoiling out vacation mood throughout this weekend.

The resort fee is a an extra cost that is not fair for people. Why not just put the nightly rate up. I don't know what the resort fee(nearly$40.00US per night) includes, except for the pool?? The Luxor is not alone in charging this fee - its charged by nearly all of the major hotels.

Awesome time”
This is my first time to stay at the Luxor from Feb 2-6 and I couldn't have had a better time. Now after reading some of the reviews here I thought I may have made a mistake. Glad I let experience show me better. Waited in line for about 15 minutes. The room was HUGE!! 2 queen beds and lots of space. The floor was very quiet and I got plenty of rest. The next morning I struck out to explore the hotel. There are so many unique things to see at this hotel. To really see Vegas I walked everywhere. Take good sneakers or walking shoes. Make use of the tram to and from the Mandalay Bay and Excalibur. It was great to be able to ride over to the other casinos on that end of the strip for variety. This was a great hotel and experience for me and I would truly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Vegas during the midweek. Other hotels on the strip may offer a bit more flash, but for my money, the staff, dealers and housekeeping will keep you happy.

Tacky Chic ”
You can't to go to Las Vegas and avoids tackiness. So where better to stay is in a massive pyramid which fake Egyptian decor. Get you a taxi ride from the airport to the hotel I due to renovations it's a little bit of a walk too reception. Check in was Swift on the stuff very polite. Another bit of a trek thanks to my room, but the room offered everything I needed. The bed was exceedingly comfortable, a good size bathroom with both shower and bath, good size TV and strong reliable WiFi. The view from the window was great huge panorama of downtown Las Vegas. Review Inside the Hotel was equally spectacular looking down on the inside of hollow pyramid a long way below. I hired a car for two days off my stay, and the Hoover Dam wasn't easy hours drive away, as were various shopping malls. In summary a great stay in a great hotel, albeit at one end of the strip accessing Vegas Old Town quite a journey, well worth it though.

Pretty good for the price; those "resort fees" are sure a pain though.”
Paying $35 USD resort fees for things that aren't even open or that no one uses is a bit ridiculous. No pools open so you literally get WIFI for $35 bucks a day (and gym access I guess) which is frankly a huge ripoff. The State hotel tax I get but this fee should just be included in the price upfront; having to fork out $280 at the end of 7 nights sucks and kind of makes you leave on a bad note and not want to return. I will say all vegas hotels do this these days though. Other than that it's a clean, relatively quiet hotel at the south end of the strip. Casino is not very busy; shows are kind of B grade but you can walk to the good ones. Buffet is decent and cheaper than some others. Not much in the way of high end amenities available which fits its price range. It was the talk of the town 25 years ago when they built it but now it's just getting kind of old. Stay in the towers if you can; it is nicer than the pyramid although kids will find the pyramid pretty cool.
