Clean & comfortable, friendly staff”

Due to some mysterious miscommunication or technical flaw our booked room was not available. The owner hadn't emailed us about it beforhand, but offered us another room. The Polisch owner and his Thai wife are very kind and helpfull. They tipped us the restaurant around the corner, which was excellent! The room was superclean, set in a nice small house in a beautiful garden. If you walk downhill you can grab a taxi anywhere. Not the chepest place, but worth it to stay away from the screaming koh Chang streets. Not our island, but Macura was good!

Great place to stay”

Booked in for two nights and then two more and then two more, ended up staying for nine nights. Room is clean and comfortable staff are friendly and helpful. Location is good for walking to White Sands or for grabbing a taxi down the coast to the other beaches. Situated between White Sands and the quieter Chai Chet beaches. Very peaceful and beautiful grounds far enough from main road that you can't hear it. Two nearby shops. Restaurant at end of road and loads more within 30 minute walk. Highly recommended.

very nice and quiet place”

The manager is very friendly and they keep the bungalows clean. It's a quiet place not too far away from White Sand Beach (50 Baht by Taxi). The room is too small for the price and they have lots of mosquitos. The restaurant just next to the resort is one of the best on this island and u get really good Thai food for cheap price. Only breakfast at the resort, which is optional, is not good.

Amazing peaceful garden”

Macura resort has an amazing exotic garden which induces a very peaceful feeling. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms have an interesting design with stones on the floor. The owners are very friendly and helpful!

Good resort value for money. ”

Good resort, friendly owners, not far from white sand beach. But you need a motobike to move around. The resort is on a side street from the main road on the west coast. with a Very beautiful garden surrounded. It's quiet in the evening and night. rooms are clean and pretty new. close to the bars on white sand beach.

Home sweet home”

I booked there just for keeping my stuff when I went to snorkeling but once we were there , everything is amazing, I didn't expect I will get everything in that price (so cheap) The lovely room where is clean and comfortable, great bed and awesome bathroom and toilet (look like we are in the garden ) . The owners and all staffs are great people with service mind, they recommend tourist place in Koh Chang to us nicely. Brea

Away from the city ”

Fantastic stay at macura resort, host was friendly and helpful. This is a great place to stay if you wish to getaway from the stress of the big city.

Nice place to relax”

When we showed up, we were informed that our Tree House Room was double booked. The owner then told us that he had given us the Deluxe Queen Room instead, which I do believe it was an upgrade. Everything was very nice while we stayed there, except the bed was hard. The owner and staff are very nice and helpful. Location is in the jungle and far from the White Sand Beach just 4km.

We lived in a treehouse, the best place we've ever stayed in Thailand. White Sand beach is in 5 minutes from the hotel by motorbike. The owners are very friendly.

Delightful”

This is a small resort set in a lovely peaceful garden. Every room is individual, and a lot of thought and care has gone into making them attractive and comfortable. The wifi works well everywhere, even in the rooms. The owners are very friendly and take great pride in their business, with the rooms and communal areas cleaned and maintained to a high standard. This is a quiet, peaceful location but only a minute's walk from the main road, with taxis passing in both directions all the time, so it's easy enough to get around. The restaurant just a minute's walk away has a great menu and reasonable prices. If you want peace and quiet in a beautiful setting, this is the place.

Nice stay for a few days in Koh Chang”

It was super quiet, calm and I loved it. The facilities was good and the environment was amazing - you feel like in the middle of the nature in this resort and it makes a beautiful atmosphere especially in the night. All of this would force us to stay till the end of our vacation, if it was nearer the center of the island and the beach.

A European-Thai couple own, live and manage this sweet property. It's intimate, lush, and quiet, plus affordable, being away from the pricier beach resorts. Rent one of their scooters and have fun adventuring about the island.

Exceptional”

A small, but charming resort! Quiet and away from the party scene, but a short 5 minute bus ride to get to town. The owners were very nice and helpful. The room was clean and the staff kept the towels fresh, room clean and replaced the water bottles and complimentary coffee daily.

Best experience during my trip in Thailand. The room is so lovely and clean. They also offer scooter at a reasonable price, and its just 10mins to get to the main street, and the beach.

Beautiful garden, quiet surroundings, great owner and staff. ”

Pros: wonderful well kept garden, friendly and helpful staff, knowledgeable owner, quiet place, cleanliness, quality bed and amazing bathroom. Guests can rent motorcycles from the owner and they are very well kept vehicles. An advantage of doing is that one can leave the passport with the resort, instead of giving it away to some stranger. Cons: Shopping isn't available in walking distance, using motorcycle is necessary.

Cozy”

Laid back place just south of White Sand Beach. Connections to beaches are fine of course. Nice bungalows and friendly staff.

The tree house is a great place to stay”

Owned by a European guy and his family. He is very helpful and friendly. The resort is pretty. It is well taken care of. There are mopeds for hire at a good price.

Nice place but location is inconvenient ”

It was a nice place, but the location is inconvenient since most of the restaurants are in white beach. We had to walk quite far to white beach for our dinner, and the street is up hill and down hill with dirts is not easy to walk. Also, i asked the staff for the transportation back to Bangkok, but she seem doesn't understand, so we walked to white beach which is the busy area to book for a minivan back to Bangkok.

Away from beach”

Nice grounds, comfy rooms, but its far from White Beach. You can walk to nearby larger hotels and get access to southern (rocky) end of beach.
