Great stay in Mandalay. Amazing staff! ”

we loved our stay at Man Shwe Li Hotel. it had everything we needed for our 5 day stay in Mandalay. We arrived early from Inle Lake from a night bus (4am) ! they checked us in early and gave us a room upgrade. The room was very clean and comfortable, A.C. and fast Wi-Fi (for Myanmar). buffet breakfast was Ok, Asian breakfast options but also fried eggs, toast and fruit. The staff are all very sweet and willing to help. sometimes we had a few language misunderstandings but they are all lovely and try their best. The owner was one of the nicest people we met in Myanmar. helped us plan our itnerary of sight seeing around Myanmar. room was very clean and comfortable. Great pillows! located in Downtown Mandalay. a walk to most restaurants, only 10/15 minutes max so not an issue for us. they offer free bycicle and motorbike (for rent). also helped us order taxis if we wanted to go anywhere a bit further. most places are within 5km from the hotel.

Excellent ”

It's one of the best hotel i've stayed in Myanmar. Facilities are new, room is big, bathroom is clean. And the best part is the staff. The owner and staffs are very kind & friendly. When i arrived, they gave me a fresh & cold orange juice. The reception introduce to me places interest in Mandalay and give me the map. They have free bicycle, provide so many helpful information to make sure you have a nice time in Mandalay. I took a train to Gokteik Viaduct from Mandalay at 4 A.M and reception prepare a breakfast which i can eat in the train incase i'm hungry. It's very nice. The security guy invite me to have lunch with him to introduce me some traditional food of Burmese. Two days after checkout, i came back this hotel at 4 P.M from Pyin Oo Lwin and they allow me to rent a bicycle for free and watch my bag when i go around Mandalay waiting for my bus at 10 P.M. It's very nice place and i highly recommend this hotel. If you want to have a nice time in Mandalay, choose this one.

A GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY”

The staffs are friendly and willing to help. They helped me booked my ride for a day Tour around Mandalay Archaeological Zone and in Mandalay Bus Station. They also have an awesome breakfast to choose from. The room was big, awesome AC, the bed was big and comfy, i feel like just staying in the hotel for the whole day. Overall, i had the best stay in Mandalay and i will still stay there if i will travel in Mandalay again.

Pros: - Helpful staff. The owner helped me print my boarding pass for my flight and arrange a taxi for the airport at a fair price. - Delicious breakfast buffet with a good variety - Centralized location. Despite Mandalay being a sprawling city, there were plenty of attractions, restaurants, markets, etc that you could reach in a reasonable time by foot. - Free bicycles to use - Decent WiFi speeds with no connectivity issues Cons: - Many of the front desk staff have trouble with English and it can be difficult to communicate at times.

very cheap price for a really good service. Host were helpful and friendly room was big enough (prefer higher levels to avoid wall in front of the window) nice breakfast emplacement is ok, mandalay pagodas and hill are 5/6km away. if you are on a budget this is definitly a good choice.

Great hotel, but kind of far ”

Man Shwe Li had a very helpful front desk and very clean hotel. We found, however, that it was always more than walking distance from the places we wanted to go and finding taxi's in Mandalay is not the easiest. The front desk helped us to arrange a driver for the second day so that we could get around town. Good value for money.

Good a/c room, wonderful breakfast with both Asian and Western options. Very helpful staff.. For that price, it os absolutely perfect for a stay in Mandalay!

Exceptional”

In centre of Mandalay, close to moto rentals and railway station. There some shops around (coco, g&g). Have free bicycle for clients. Nice breakfasts. Good place to stay, nice stuff.

Very accommodation staff and cosy bed ”

I arrived on a night bus from Inle Lake around 5 am. I asked for an early check in and a quiet room on the upper floor. Both was no problem at all and they even let me book via agoda for a cheaper price than the walk in price. The staff carried my backpack to the room and also every time I left or entered the hotel, the staff would open me the door and welcomed me with a smile. I felt really welcome at this place and had 2 nights of very good sleep. The breakfast was far beyond my expectations. A buffet with egg, soup, rice, toast, jam, fruit, tea and juice. Also they offer free bicycles and organized a motorbike (15.000 kyatt). They could give some recommendations where to go and what to see. To summarize: A very positive experience and good value for money. I would definitely return!

Best hotel we booked in this Myanmar trip compare with two others in Yangon and Bagan. We had a quiet room to sleep. Friendly staff. Food in restaurant were very good after trying Mandalay street food

Good place to stay a night, they lend you bikes, perfect for doing the highlights of Mandalay on a day. The staff super friendly and they try to help you with the arrangement of your next days (bus, boat, etc)

Best value hotel I've ever stayed in!”

One day I left my room in a mess, when I returned, I found my room cleaned and a 10,000 kyat note tucked in my passport; I had no idea I'd dropped it! Well done the cleaning lady, I would have been none the wiser if she'd pocketed it! 2-3 star hotel for hostel prices, increadible service; huge comfy, quiet room, everything done. Perhaps a little overboard with a doorman and over zealous porter, but hey, I'm not used to up market!!!

A proper hotel for hostel price. Some of the fittings just beginning to deteriorate, hence the price, beautiful room, will stay again. Could have done without the doorman trying to pick up my bag by the wheelie handle to take my bag 10ft on flat ground, took 1 minute with me basically fighting him off, gave up in the end!

Perfectly run hotel”

I stayed in this hotel based on some travellers' advice and it was the right decision. Everything was just perfect. the staff in the reception desk was so attentive and helpful. They answered all the questions and helped me with the shared taxi to the airport. the room was very clean, the bed so confortable and both the Tv and the A/C worked properly. the breakfast was very good as well. this was so far the best hotel I stayed in Myanmar during my 4 weeks trip.

Excellent alternative for Mandalay's accommodation”

This place is really good to stay. It's centric, rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet is tasty and staff is helpful and nice at all times. They helped me to meet good reliable taxi driver (it's usually better, depending on your budget, having this more comfortable service, since all the highlights are not so close), just be sure to agree a fair price for the whole day, it should be in the city around 30000K a day in the city, and 35000K out of the city for 9:00 am pick up and finish after sunset). They also get you bus to transfer to other places, for example. There's no doubt Myanmar's people are really wonderful and genuine. Highly recommended place to stay!

Beware of the bus through reception, tricky! ”

Just to alert, we booked the bus to Inle via the reception, and they said the bus will stop at "Nyaung shwe". Turn out the bus is clearly for locals and the bus stopped at "Shwen Yaung", which is 10km away from Nyaung Shwe city, and we were dropped off with our baggage on the street at 4am, freezing and frustrated. A terrible experience! Though, the room is clean and tidy, and the owner is kind and willing to talk to you for your assistance.

we stayed 3 nights in this really nice hotel and I can say that is one of our best experience in Myanmar during our one month trip. the staff is very helpful the breakfast is delicious with salt and sweet food they have a partner with who you can rent motorbikes in a really good quality rooms are nice and clean with air conditioning location is good with restaurant s nearby I will definitely recommend this place

Good budget hotel.”

Great little hotel for the price with a mini fridge which is always an asset in the warm weather. Staff organised our taxi for a day trip and to the airport for a set price which was much appreciated. Buffet breakfast was good despite being served cold and with a few curious additions such as sweet n sour pork. Room service was also a plus. Definitely recommend for those on a budget.

Good in general, nothing to complain about ”

The room was good enough, specially very quite, I like it and the shower is good and hot. Wi fi was good. Only I didn't like much the breakfast, but it is big buffet, just too many things either meat or oily, but in general I am very picky. Still they have everything, bread, eggs, fruits and juice, rice ... tea and coffee. Staff in the hotel is very friendly and helpful.
