We had a great stay in this Hotel. ”

The location is very good. It is near from Pasar Seni MRT station. There were also street foods at night. 7/11 is just meters away and the China Town is walking distance from this. The room is spacious, We were four, 2 adults and 2 children. The room is tidy though, its a bit old.. The beds were comfortable but we found bedbugs.😢 To sum up, this hotel is a great value for money and if you are touristas I highly recommend this.. Thank you Mandarin Pacific Hotel for being part of our Kuala Lumpur tour. Till next time ❤️😍🇲🇾

Great location, but bring a sweater”

location, brunch, location

The Mandarin hotel is located about 200 meters off a bus depot and an LRT station, which is itself 1 station away from KL sentral, the one big hub for all that is public transportation in Kuala Lumpur, including the KLIA Expres train to the airport. So, for that, the Mandarin earns high marks because from that hub, you can go anywhere in Kuala Lumpur and its location, Chinatown, is itself interesting. The caveat is that, if you are like me, you are used to hotel rooms having their own dedicated air conditioning unit which you can control with a remote. The Mandarin, however uses a centralized air conditioning system that you can't control. Whatever temperature the manager has chosen is the one you will have. It appears that the current manager must have previously worked at a meat packing factory as he keeps the temperature at the appropriate temperature for conserving meat. So, bring flannel pajamas, a sweater, ear muffs, scarfs, a camping stove, whatever, because you will freeze your knickers off.

Great location with affordable price”

Mandarin Hotel give value for money. I am only paid RM70 per night with complete facilities in the room i.e. complete toiletries and great location. It is near to local public transport i.e. free bus go KL, LRT and KTM station. I also in the middle of great shopping place i.e. Chinatown and Centre market. The staff is also friendly and helpful.

Very affordable and comfortable hotel”

Positioned right in the centre of Chinatown, and a minutes walk from the metro or light rail, it's very convenient to get around KL. The hotel itself is comfortable, even the cheapest rooms are spacious with decent bathrooms and comfortable beds. Wi-Fi is fast and experienced no drop-outs. Common complaint here is that the air-con cannot be adjusted, whilst it didn't bother me, I can see why some people might feel it's too cold. The hotel is showing a few signs of old age, and could do with a bit of an update, that being said for the money it's just fine.

The hotel that most value for money, hard to find 1 like this”

Generally, i really satisfied during my stay in this hotel. Presentable, enough facilities & very affordable price. I have 3 things to suggest for improvement. 1stly, provide enough wifi coverage with enough capacity, bcoz during Full House, the wifi was unable to utilised. 2ndly, increase the cleanliness of the room bcoz sometime it is still dusty. 3rdly was the tv channel bcoz based on my experience, during my stay in the Std Queen Room, the tv channel is totally ok mybe using ASTRO. But during the next stay in the Deluxe room, the tv channel is so worst. Just hv 2 to 3 channel. Other channel the display is not clear.

Old but good location hotel”

The hotel has passed it's prime. Was once a glamour but now it's only lingering on its prime location. Waking distance to train station, China Town, food enclave and shopping belt. It's probably one of those hotels that still uses central aircon and heating system. During the night is super cold and can't adjust the aircon. Having hot supply to even taps. Tea and coffee making with bottled water, sofa and dressing table, these are some facilities not found in budget hotels. Even though the place is a bit run down, but given all the facilities and location, will need back again.

Positives: Excellent location 5-min-walk from transport hub Pasar Seni, Chinatown, Petaling St, etc. Jeffry at front desk was friendly and extra helpful reg where and how to go, where to eat, etc.. We only interacted with him. Good breakfast buffet for 10 MYR per person. Overall good VFM at this hotel. Negatives - old hotel, rundown room and linens. Odd plugpoints which did not fit our chargers, but Jeffry lent us an adaptor. Aircon had no controls in the room and was frrreezing! Even Jeffry couldnt help us on that!!

For the price I paid, the hotel was great. It is in a central location. Close to pudu central, the hop-on-hop-off bus, free KLbus, and The KTM. Pros: - fresh sheets and towels every day - mattress was comfy - really hot water and good water pressure - quiet - close to 7/11 and decent food at all hours Cons: - staff not knowledgeable about some of the tourist attractions - carpet is disgusting - walls dirty with stains - wifi slow and cuts out Tips: - ask front desk for air con to be turned down - bring shower shoes and own toiletries Would definitely rebook if I return to KL.
