Great Location”
We were visiting old friends on Koh Chang and having lived there several years ourselves, Marina Sands was new so were tried it. We know the location, which is awesome and the hotel, breakfast and staff were new and friendly. Would stay again.

Should be better”
Mixed views on this one Rooms are huge with a modern feel, the bathroom follows suit. There is a huge flat screen TV with a few cable channels. Good wifi. The beds are really comfortable with nice linen. We had twin beds and were a little bemused that they were only 2'6" wide which seemed out of keeping with the room dimensions. Big patio with good, big double glazed doors. nice comfortable patio chairs and table. Could do with a couple of sunbeds to finish it off. We were on the 3rd floor and had a lovely view,. The hotel is a 5 minute stroll to the beach. We were 'all-inclusive' but this is not what it seems. The resort claims 3 restaurants but you can only use the one at the hotel, right away from the beach. Food from the menu is great but that was only for lunch. The 2 nights we were there they had Thai Street Market at dinner time, so 4 stalls and a choice of Pad Thai, Satay, Green Curry or chicken wings! Cheap food and not particularly good. Not fair on AI, FB or HB guests.

Our TVs are also SmartTVs, in which we enable a multitude of apps, such as Netflix, that our guests can shape their viewing pleasure in any way. - We are very sorry for your experience with our all-inclusive offer. As you may be able to see on our booking pages we do not offer this package anymore. Our management direction has changed considerably, which called for some reboot of our services and revision of our food and beverage offers, among other things. It is unacceptable that you were given such a limited offer during your stay, when you clearly expected something else when you booked with us - once again, we apologize. We hope that you reconsider and visit Marina Sands Resort again in the near future!
Good hotel but very bad located”
The resort is new and very clean. However if you want to stay there, you need to know it's quite troublesome to go to other area such as white sand beach. Hotel provide shuttle every hour to bring you 7eleven and other resort from same group but that's it. You will have to find own taxi to go other place and price is quite expensive if you do that every day. Also catching taxi from that area is also troublesome. Otherwise staff are very polite and nice but resort seems desert... We didn't see many people on our stay there.

Taxi service can also be ordered through our reception, to avoid the troublesome taxi-catching on the road. Some of our rooms are equipped with sofa beds, the extra bed charge includes the additional pillows and linen setup to cover the sofa bed, just like a normal bed. It is a shame that we could not live up to your expectations with our breakfast selection. We are always listening to our guests comments and try to improve upon them. Unfortunately, we do not know where you encountered the bugs. We are located next to national parkland, including bordering the direct river access to the sea, mangrove fields and jungles. Our restaurant is open air, and we distribute mosquito spray upon request. Our housekeeping also always do their best to not let any bugs enter during their cleaning (shutting the doors, resort fogging, etc.). It is unfortunate that you did not enjoy your stay, but we still hope that you will reconsider and choose to stay at Marina Sands Resort again in the near future!

There are beautiful views. The room was as advertised. The staff was generally nice. But, this is a condo resort. With Covid, there were no amenities. White Sand is far, certainly not walking distance; mode of transport is necessary. We felt isolated and a bit alone. Maybe would be fine when in full swing.

Not as bad as i thought, but...”
Thought I'd save a bit, especially with a car at the ready to tour about. But the location had virtually none of the lushness of a resort. Seemed like more a dorm room than even a mini-resort. Felt isolated. Decided in 5 minutes to return to the actual resort we'd stayed for 2 nights. Made no effort to palaver about the misapprehension, just turned in the key. Not a bad place, but a bit removed from where some might want to be, and I think, a work in progress.

We booked for 4 days but left one day early for something more high end. Our issue was that it is cut off from shops / restaurants and you need a bike / car. The cafe on site was closed and part of the resort seemed closed / being renovated. However buffet breakfast was good, it takes place in a different location by the sea. Staff were lovely, but we felt we wanted a bit more luxury and also a different location. Would recommend this place for the pool, and secluded beaches but not for location.

Located within Siam bay view facility has very good facilities with amazing swimming pools. Nice staff. No sea view for Marina sands and 5.min in buggy to the beach. Shallow beach but amzing views. Spacious clean rooms.
