We were surprised and amazed by the size of the room and comfort of the beds, I think my kids had their best night sleep in this hotel throughout my 8 days of stay in Japan. 2 queen beds + a baby cot, and sofa, and still lotsa space!! Bathroom was great too!! I think SPACE is really what kids like, they sleep better and longer hours. We adults are better rested too. Breakfast was Japanese style, suits adults more, my kids didnt' have much to eat. .. but still, I'm overwhelmed by the service and what the hotel offers. Customer service was great too, they provided kids packs for my kids and they loved it... with kids room slippers and some toys, hankies and sponge for shower. Very nice gesture. This is truly an underated hotel, so glad I booked a night stay here. Thank you staff of Mars Garden Wood Gotemba! I highly recommend anyone going to see Mt Fuji, u get a very good and clear view of Mt Fuji in Gotemba everywhere u walk/drive during Spring!!

Travelled with parents in law, the hotel is excellent for a vacation. Just located 3min walk from the Gotemba bus station, it is easy to reach as we travelled by express bus from Tokyo. Very clean rooms - spacious with comfy beds. We stayed for 3 nights visiting the Fuji area , went to ski park Yeti and he Gotemba outlet, which are both reachable by the same bus station. Didn’t dine at the hotel restaurant but we ate in the nearby restaurants instead, which is about 8-10min walk from the hotel. Big supermarket within 10min walk and Gotemba JR station is within 5min by taxi. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Super glad that we chose mars garden wood. Hope to visit again.

Great hotel. Convenient location”
Loved the hotel. But the lights in the room were too dim. Many restaurants around the hotel and because we rented a car, getting around wasn't an issue. Comes with a separate bathtub, toilet and basin area. Got the Mt Fuji view room but there was a building right in front of my window, so, it wasn't an unblock view. A little disappointed. The furniture seems tired and worn. The public onsen was superb. Great facilities. But overall, enjoyed our stay. It has free parking as well. And two bottles of free drinking water a day.

Absolute bliss”
The hotel is super luxurious and people make you feel like you’re the only guest at the hotel! Onsens overlooking Mt Fuji, comfortable and spacious rooms, as well as a traditional Japanese breakfast in your own separated table just added to our experience. We only stayed the one night after the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, but it was more than enough to recharge our batteries to continue our travels. Stay here if you are looking for luxury and relaxation <3

Fantastic hotel, large and clean rooms”
Very very happy with our stay at this hotel. The rooms were huge, beds were comfortable, toilets were nice. Very clean too! We had rooms with the Mount Fuji view and it was spectacular. There is also a free shuttle bus service to the Gotemba Premium Outlets, so that was very convenient. Overall, would highly recommend this hotel! Two thumbs up!

Staff were friendly and helpful - despite the heavy rain, they helped us to unload our luggage and guided us to the basement carpark. Check in and Check out was also a breeze with their warm hospitality. Room was spacious and clean, amenities aplenty! Beds are very comfortable. In-room onsen was a big plus to have. Exceeded our expectations. Location was fantastic, there was a Daiso, Uniqlo and a supermarket nearby. Breakfast at the hotel was impressive and very tasty and came with a view of the hotel's garden. Do remember to look out for the slip road to the hotel's entrance if you are driving!

Fantastic room, everything seems so new. Really awesome hot bath, sauna and it’s really spacious with a really good view. Staff is very friendly and the service is one of the best I’ve encountered in Japan. The staff even sent me a box of chocolate brownie,” when they heard I was there to celebrate my birthday.

The hotel is clean and we love their garden with a big pond and lots of koi fish. My kids really enjoyed feeding the fish and ran around the garden., at night they have a water fountain show which we enjoyed while having dinner. The room is really big and clean. As for the staffs they are courteous and really helpful. The breakfast is also a two thumbs up. Overall we had a great staycation at this hotel and would recommend it especially for families.

Big room with Mount Fuji view ”
We were staying in Mount Fuji view room. Room was so big with a big sofa area plus two double beds. Bathroom was very spacious. Breakfast was a Japanese set and it was delicious. There were 3-4 indoor hot baths & 1 outdoor hot bath.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Kids had fun feeding the kois in the garden. Beautiful hotel and scenery. Huge room with 2 queen beds. Even willing to provide a baby cot. Will come back again for sure.

I highly recommend this hotel. Staff are professional and good in English. I'm surprised to have hot spring. The room facilities are clean and comfortable. The most unforgettable experience is able to see the full view of Fujiyama mountain once I wake up. It's really fantastic.

Check in was fast and quick..the staff showed us to our room..japanese breakfast was very delicious and great..location is near to bus station (gotemba toei) for odakyu bus (free pass) going to the premium outlet and back to hakone and also the free shuttle bus going to premium outlet....gotemba train station is 15 minits walk from the hotel and they do provide shuttle car to and from the hotel..2 halal food restaurant can be found near the hotel and train station which are kintokitei and gotemba india..hope to come again next time...👍🏻👍🏻

Love the big cozy beds and great location! There's a free shuttle bus from Gotemba Outlet to the hotel. Within the hotel lies a beautiful garden with koi swimming around. Very therapeutic. Will want to stay in the hotel again! :)
