Marumo Ryokan was a few minutes walk from the train station and this place was good value for money.

Simple but pleasant stay”
I stayed in Omi-Imazu in order to go to the Chikubu Island, which was a pleasant place to visit for a few hours. Marumo Ryokan was a few minutes walk from the train station and this place was good value for money. Not a fancy place, but hosted a pleasant stay overall. Dinner was added by request for a reasonable charge and it was quite good. Breakfast was simple, so were the room and the bathing facilities, but since Omi-Imazu was a small town, Marumo is likely as good a place you can stay while you are visiting the area.

お料理旅館というだけあって、ご主人のこだわりの美味しいお料理をお腹いっぱいいただきました。 朝も、和食の朝ごはんで、お腹いっぱいだけど、もたれなかったです。 建物は古いですが、小綺麗に整えてありました。 ご主人の趣味のプラモデルやフィギュアが飾ってあり、純和風の建物と合いまって、こんなご時世の前には外人さんに人気のお宿だったそうです。 この流れが過ぎればまた外人さんの観光客も戻り、旅館内でも国際交流ができてたのしそうです。 建物は年代物ですが、お風呂は普通に小綺麗にされてました。 場所的にもアクセスも良く また宿泊したい施設の一つです。
