A very good hostel”

I stayed in Maverick City Lodge for 5 nights and it was extremely good value for money. It has very good kitchen facilities that allow you to cook and prepare your own meals, which is very important for people like me. In terms of location, it is situated in the Jewish quarter and you will pass through the grand synagogue every day. Even from outside, it is of splendid views in the morning and at the evening. Everything is convenient around Maverick, there's 24h convenient store next door and a Tesco within a few minutes' walk. I highly recommend 'Gold euro change' just around the corner towards Deak ter. You can easily get local currency after you get off from 100E and walk towards Maverick. Most places including airport and Tesco accept credit card, so life is just a breeze in Budapest.

A perfect stay with an amazing surprise”

Thank you so much for such a warm welcome! Although my short stay, I really enjoyed my time at the Maverick City Lodge Hostel. The only thing I was sad about, was to staying only one night. Everything was perfect, the environment, the location and the room. The staff at the reception is amazing, always very friendly and helpful. A particular thank you to Lejla and Cinti for an amazing surprise, it really made my stay in Budapest unforgettable. I will have to come back to Budapest for a longer stay :)

stayed 3 nights in Maverick city Lodge, was really good experience. They offer free teas with lots of options and coffee. Nice hot shower, hair dryer very clean. The location is near city center and airport shuttle bus. The staff are super friendly! oh they also do late checkout, all you need to do is just mention to the reception that you're actually going to be late check out! wonderful experienced! thank you!

well equipped hostel with female dormitry”

really enjoyed my stay at Maverick. Their bunk bed comes with curtains to ensure privacy which is definitely a bonus for hostel environment. The rooms were spacious and the bed comes with power point. The attached toilet and shower were clean and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend if you're a single female staying in Budapest.

Amazing Hostel”

My stay in Maverick hostel was excellent. It is located in a nice area, walking distance to metro, nightlife, restaurants etc. Staff was very friendly, they have a very good kitchen and the place is always clean. I liked the way the dorms were arranged, you can always meet people in the lobby area, good wifi and computers. I would definitely stay here again.

Good hostel in Budapest. I stayed 2 different hostel in 7 days and I highly recommend for the solo Travelers. I will choose maverick again if I visit Budapest.

Value for money!”

Mavarick City Lodge is located right at the center of Pest. Great location, so easy to get anywhere by foot or public transportation. One of the staff (her name is Dora) is really friendly and helpful. The room is clean, the mattress are ok, although the light inside the bunk bed could be a bit brighter. One thing that needs improvement, it will be nice if the lodge provide rubber slippers to go to the bathroom. Cause it is a commune bathroom, so some people are wearing shoes, some are wearing slippers, some are going barefoot and the area could get dirty. Overall the stay is nice and comfy and I would definitely recommend it to a friend!

Comfortable Hostel that is more like a 3star hotel”

I really enjoyed staying in this marvelous hostel. I am an elderly solo traveller and couldn't find a single flaw with this hostel. Lavi and Andrew are the best hosts. The bed is so comforatable and the price of the accommodation is extremely reasonable. Thank you very much for a wonderful holiday in Budapest. I certainly rate this 5star and highly recommend to tourists.

We reserved the three-people room and the room is big and clean. The location is good and very near t grocery store and the restaurants. Also, the staffs are friendly. It is a very nice place to stay in Budapest.

First time in a Hostel as solo. Great experience. Staff was wonderful...Nikki was especially friendly and helpful. Curtained beds made for great privacy and security of doors were exceptional. Would definitely choose this location again if ever back in Budapest.

A strategcally located hostel with fun abounds”

Hostel located within easy reach to the major attractions. Clean and spacious room despite room cleaning is not done every day. Love the Speghetti night On Mondays and wine tasting on Wednesdays! Fully eqipped self-catering kitchen. Staff are incredibly kind and helpful. Will definitely stay there again if returning to Budapest.

The location is really nice, just a few minutes walk from stations. Room is clean and the staff are very nice, they can advise you were to go or what to eat. There is a shared kitchen, it got everything you may need for cooking. Will definitely choose it again if I am going to Budapest again.

If they don’t raise price, it’s good”

I booked the place only when they had a discount in which case it’s great. But if the price goes above 10 euro I would choose another place. The staff is really fun. Really great! The place is very new. Design is sort of good. The kitchen is equipped with dishwashers. There is a very good choice or free teas. They ask you to label your food but don't provide a pen. Wi-Fi is tolerable. Laundry service is outright bad. It costs 7 euro (more expensive than in Rome) and they ruined my clothes (temperature was too high for synthetic tourist equipment?). I had to buy a new hat after that. The cleaning staff is amazing but the cleaning is done only ones a day. Sor in the evening the toilets can become really nasty again. Showers are non-lockable. The beds have their own power outlets and reading light, and curtains. The location is quite good for nightlife. It's about 100 meters from the most famous and very interesting ruin bar.

Very nice place to stay”

This is a great place to stay in Budapest. I stayed in a dorm, but was very comfortable with the Japanese style dorm (where you have your own little cubby.) The facilities were a little stretched - one night the place was full and two working female showers for a whole floor of dorms really wasn't enough - but in general I found this hostel clean, comfortable and companionable. I especially enjoyed my interactions with the reception staff and the wine tasting night. Gabor taught me all I know about hungarian pronunciation and also hungarian heavy metal.

it looks exactly as the pictures here -- clean, comfortable, functional. location is great for walking around the city, ample size of beds and lockers. no usb port in beds but you get your own light and 2 sockets. fantastic kitchen/dining area. the staff are superb, especially Rita (thank you!). towels and adaptors can be borrowed free of charge. showers are decent. the breakfast next door at fat mama's was also not bad. enjoyed our stay here... highly recommended.

Has all the friendliness of a hostel with the comfort of a hotel. Rooms huge and perfectly quiet. Staff super friendly. Locations AMAZING. All ruin bars nearby. The biggest and best one on the same street. They have daily events at the hostel like wine tasting, spagetti night and organised pub crawls.
