Lovely hotel and Truly Hideaway ...”
my Son, my wife and i really enjoyed our stay at the mercure koh chang hideaway. its truly hideaway...The hotel situate quite far from community its located in Aow Bailan which is quite and private and peacefull and took about half an hour drive from pier (25 to 30 KM). If you want to get the real relax in a peaceful atmosphea, this hotel might be the place you are looking for but if you expect the nightlife, this might not be the good place for you.take your car to this hotel is recommended hotel is a really nice place, we had a lovely and relaxing time here, the hotel is great with nice rooms and lovely swimming pools. the staff were very friendly and helpful. we would definitely recommend staying at the mercure koh chang hideaway. The private beach isnt as nice as in advertised on photo beach with lots of rocks, not very safe to swim.

A beautiful "Hideaway"”
We had a wonderful stay at mercure, it really was a hideaway for us. Our villa was situated in beautiful grounds, which felt like we were really hidden away from it all in a jungle style surrounding, we particularly enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi and the private swimming pool. The jaccuzzi was just what we needed after a long days travel down to Koh Chang. The private pool was just he right size and perfect for an evening dip, as there were pool lights. The pool was kept very clean, and a guy came and cleaned it daily removing all leaves and insects etc. Our room was huge! The ceilings were very high which have the villa a great feeling of space. The bathroom was clean and very modern with a his and hers sink and a huge shower which easily fits 2 people. These villas are definatley aimed at couples! The bed was four poster and very beautiful when the sheer drapes hung down. Bed was very comfy and huge! Mini bar was well stocked and there was also a wine fridge with all sorts of wines and Prosecco, chargeable on your bill at the end of the stay. We loved to sunbathe on the beach which was right in front of the hotel, but near enough to go between sea and pool. The main swimming pool itself was stunning, in a beautiful emerald green colour. The pool is surrounded by plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas and also jaccuzzis for anyone to use, which is really lovely when it's happy hour (between 3-5pm) and all drinks and cocktails are buy one get one free. Perfect to have a jacuzzi and a few cocktails as the sun starts to lower.

Ultimate leisure, beach, get away hotel”
We had an amazing stay at the Mercure Hideaway. We booked a pool villa but it was under renovation so we got a free update to a beachfront pool villa. The villa was amazing, so much space and such a nice design. The hotel is being maintained quite well (in the low season they renovate certain rooms). The restaurant is also very nice. We liked that you could choose your food from a big selection and then they would charcoal-grill it for you. Steak, lobster, shrimp, red snapper, you name it, and not very expensive either! The hotel has a very nice design and the beach is clean and quiet (it's a hideaway hotel, so no other hotels in the vicinity). We want to come back next time we go to Ko Chang!

Soak yourself 24 hours a day”
Mercure Koh Chang Hideaway is a hotel that was better of what I expected but worse of what it could've been with little effort. We stayed at Pool Villa, which the entry to our room was a little creepy, but inside the room you find it is really spacious, high ceilings, lot of natural light and a very decent private pool and jacuzzi waiting for you outside. The furniture is what you would expect from this kind of hotel: modern and somehow kind of boring. So modern that some areas of the room are not really properly lit by the lamps. As it is winter, water on the pool was a bit cold, but nothing you can do about it but have patience and courage. On the other hand, jacuzzi can be used with hot water, which was kind of awesome. Furniture inside and outside the room is a little disappointing, as there is no dinning table, the sofa is a little sad and not comfortable at all and, outside, next to your private pool, you will only find a single chair with a little table and a huge cushion where you can not even lay properly. A pair of hammocks would've do the trick. Also a sunshade. Breakfast buffet has some different choices for you, but I recommend you to book without breakfast, as you can get cheaper prices just across the corner. You can still pay it once to try it out. The beach is friendly and swimmable, enough sand, no rocks, no waves and clean water. And you can also go explore on a kajak for 200 THB (1 hour). Staff seems to follow the rhythm of the island which is basically slow (not counting the crazy taxi rides on the hill, which is scary fast). For instance, you may need to wait up to one hour for your dish on the nearby restaurants.

Beautiful hotel”
It was a beautiful hotel. The dining service was very good, the rooms were great and the pools right outside our room (we were given the ground floor right near buffet with a spectacular view) was amazing. The only things I would say were this side of Koh Chang beach can be divided into 3 section, very busy and touristy or half touristy and half peaceful/secluded and completely secluded. Mercure is in the completely secluded part which at times felt very quiet and missing people. There were a lot of mosquitos in my room and I get bitten a lot and of course watch out for the little geckos scattered on the dining hall ceiling (which is really everywhere you go) and sometimes in your room.

Nice Resort-with private beach”
Mercure Hideaway Koh Chang Resort is a really nice place. The rooms and resort itself are large, but there never seems to feel like it is too overcrowded.High ceilings and a view of the pool make for a really nice feel, although some may experience privacy issues with the bathrooms as they are only seperated by a screen! Staff were really good, paying just the right amount of attention. The two-for-one cocktail hour is good value and you can have them on your own private beach.A nice place overall to relax and unwind.

great hotel, lovely staff”
My wife and I had a very enjoyable stay at the Mercure Hideaway. The staff are attentive and helpful. The location is very quiet and may not suit some people, but if a relaxing place to recharge the batteries is required, then this is it. However I was confused by the hotel website's claim that airport transfers were available. It appeared that like other facilities such as pool, spa and gym these would be available to all guests. I was surprised therefore that we were not met at the airport and had to arrange and pay for our own transport. The hotel said that although transfers can be arranged, these would have to be reserved and paid for...which was not clear online. A charge for wi-fi use was however made clear on the same page. Another surprise was the price of 2,000 BHT (£40)for a rather ordinary Chilean red wine...and a 400BHT charged for corkage if you want to purchase wine elsewhere.I think this may have contributed to a very empty restaurant most evenings. These things did not spoil our holiday...we had a really wonderful time and I would return and recommend it to friends. A big thankyou to the local Thais who were fantastic. It really is "the land of smiles".

They upgraded me to a pool villa for my birthday!!”
I was upgraded from the superior room to a pool villa...it was my birthday! They even sent staff to my room with a lit birthday cake and sang to me! The room was spectacular and the whole experience was sublime. I recommend the Mercure to anyone traveling to Koh Chang (an island by the way..not a city) I was VERY happy, and will return there on my next excursion to KC :)

Pool Villa Luxury”
This was our thirdt stay at the Pool Villa at the Mercure Koh Chang. We live in Bangkok and go here as a nice getaway. We had friends in town and we treated them to a weekend here and they were really impressed. The pool villa is really romantic with a small private pool, waterfall, outdoor shower and jacuzzi. We never want to leave the room when we're here and only go to eat dinner at Bang Bao pier (one short hilly drive away). The beach in front is nice but a bit on the smaller side. It's also one of the last hotels on this beach so the only people that use it are hotel guests. I've never eaten at the restaurant though; we looked at the menu and the prices were ridiculous!

Unbelievable room”
We booked this hotel last minute after deciding to visit the island of koh Chang earlier than planned, we arrived around 7pm and checked in with in 10 minutes then shown to our room which my wife absolutely loved. We open the patio doors and we had 2 steps out to the pool shared with around a 10 other rooms but being out of season there was only about 3 occupied. The pool was perfect and got the sun at around 9.am we checked out at 12 as we had other accommodation booked for the rest of our stay on the island. It was sad to leave and for a short notice cheep deal this place was 10 out 10 in our eyes

Quiet retreat”
My wife and I live in Bangkok but go away a couple of times a month to escape the hustle and bustle and oppressive heat of the metropolis. This was our first visit to Koh Chang and the first thing you notice is that the proximity of the hotel to the sea keeps things cool. The hotel itself is modern and in a good state of repair. The room was nice and big with a jacuzzi and huge balcony. Both swimming pools were clean and the main pool by the hotel`s private beach had plenty of sun loungers and staff on duty. The beach was sandy and very clean and the gardens were lush. The hotel and surroundings were very quiet. Only downside was that breakfast wasn`t included and for the sake of all those staff on duty in the restaurant it wouldn`t cost much to include it as the restaurant was empty at breakfast time.

Wonderful hotel in fantastic surroundings”
We really enjoyed the stay at the Mercure at Koh Chang. The pool villa room, the hotel and its gardens are really nice. However, the hotel is located rather far away of shops, public restaurants and any ATM. The beach looks very nice, but its not well suited for swimming due to many rocks and corals which hurt the feet.

The Perfect Hideaway”
I've stayed on koh Chang a number of times and have never been able to escape the brash backpacker type beach resorts. At Mercure we escape from it all, private beach romantic seclusion yet a minute walk find outside restaurants and night life if your looking for it. Amazing value for money.

Perfect and relaxing!”
This must be the best Mercure that Accor has got. This hotel can clearly compete with the Thai brands like Centara and Anantara. This hotel is more like the Accor luxury brand Sofitel. We had a ocean view room, that was simply fantastic, clean, spacious and super bed. If you would get the same quality of sleep in all Mercures. Accor and Mercure could start their own bedding standard compared with Four Seasons. The pool area and surroundings are exquisite. The restaurants and bars offer extremely good Thai and Western foods. "Life is Magnifique"

True luxury by the ocean!!”
Had been to Thailand to celebrate my wife's birthday and Ko Chang was the most amazing and fulfilling holiday that we ever had.. Mercure has quality standards and it shows everywhere, in the design, rooms, staff, service, cleanliness, amenities, spa.. Everything was like a dream.. Our room was amazing and had direct access to the pool...it was like having your own private pool..we would swim there and order drinks and food..felt like heaven!! The staff is great and friendly.. There is another pool by the beach..and the sea has a breathtaking sunset..to experience such beauty in nature was amazing!! The entire feel of the resort adds to the natural beauty of the place.. It surely is luxury at its best!!

A beautiful hotel with great facilities”
The Mercure Koh Chang was a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable stop. The hotel looks beautiful and makes you feel special being inside it (however this could be improved by having the pool lit up and generally more lighting at night - it's too dark and loses some atmosphere then). I had a deluxe pool room which was delightful. The pools are warm and lovely and the beach is nice and quiet too. Location of hotel isn't great as it's rather out the way but it is possible to get taxis. Kareoke bar and poolside happy hour are great!

Great moment”
The hotel is located near the end of Koh Chang. We find out that everything we want is there! Nice room, large balcony and swinging chair is provided at balcony! A nice and relaxing bathtub. We stay there 3 nights and completely relax and peaceful. We enjoy the beach view in the morning and afternoon but no chance for the pool since it crowd! However, just sit at the balcony that perfect!

Nice hotel in a quiet place in Koh Chang!”
We had the hotel almost by our selfs. Nice rooms, good size. We had the pool access, and the kids loved it. Nice food and great breakfast. Excellent service in the restaurant. Beach was not nice, not like expected. Rocks and cliffs everywhere, not a beach really. Pool nice, but closed a few days due to renovations. Unfortunately the hole hotel and the area all around Koh Chang was empty due to the covid and the time of year. Would be great to go there when things are up and running again.
