"It was pleasant. The staffs are very friendly and will cater to our request. It's very cheap with good quality. Rm50 for this hotel is very very cheap. I would recommend this to any travellers that are looking for budget accommodation. I'll definitely come again if I'm in langkawi. Kudos to izz motel:)"

"This motel may not be for everybody, but it was definitely the best one for us. It is far from main tourist resorts, located by the sea, accessed by dirt road. You definitely need your car or bike. Couple of shops and many local restaurants in walking distance (within 15 minutes walk), but having to walk everywhere would be very limiting. Two beaches close and easy to walk to (in front of the motel the shore is rocky), but it might be easier to drive, especially during high tide. I especially recommend the Black Sand Beach! You won't find many restaurants for tourists, usually no english menus and staff doesn't really speak english... On the other hand you get a chance to taste local cuisine for amazing price and with a bit of courage you will soon learn how to order Nasi Ayam or Bihun Goreng :) We loved the local food, there's a small restaurant (or buffet, you name it) at every corner. And every Friday there’s a big local market with so many things to taste! About 10 minutes by car is the Tanjung Rhu beach, where Mangroove tours start (highly recommended!) and the beach itself is gorgeous - in case the beaches by the motel are not good enough. The motel is modest, clean and very nice. Hot and cold drinking water are free from disinfection machine outside. No food provided, but with several grocery stores aroud it’s no big problem. The only downside was no fridge in the room, but when we asked the staff offered us to use their own fridge and kept the door unlocked for us. It is a family-run place and it was low season when we stayed, so the reception was not open 24/7, but when we needed anything we always found someone to ask and the staff was always very helpful and nice, even invited us to their barbecue party by the sea. Long story short: an awesome place to stay if you want to truly experience calm Langkawi, you're not afraid of local cuisine, and you want to avoid crowds. It is exactly what you would expect for the price, actually much more than we expected."

"Booked for two nights originally but ended up extending to 5. The location is great, very close to Cenang high street, cheap scooter rental on the corner and 3 minutes to the beach. The room itself was spacious with a nice view from the balcony. There is also a new road in place so it is easier to access than previous reviews may have suggested. Staff were always friendly and very happy to help with any requests. Overall a great stay"

"We stayed here for 3D2N family deluxe room ...they provided us with on-desk budget tours, car rental facility. Staff was very cooperative and responsible as they handled our mangrove tour package... Very nice location walking distance from Langkawi fair mall and night market... Overall had alot of fun"

"Triple Sharing Room #204. PROs: + Staffs: friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Owner was kind & considerate to extend our check out time with reasonable price (RM10/hr) after we returned from the island hopping activity ~4pm. Need to inform the staff first. Other hotel might've charged us full day rate. + Spacious & clean room, comfy bed, kids love the swimming pool. + Near to Kuah jetty for island hopping activity, seafood restaurants in Kuah area, and the best Langkawi roti canai stall is just next to the hotel. + Aircond, fan, water heater, TV, wardrobe, towels, shampoo/soap, kettle & instant beverages, strong WiFi. + Others: Sea view, fishing enthusiasts would appreciate this hotel. CONs: - no elevator, not suitable for elderly/wheelchair access unless request for ground floor room. - had difficulty to open the main door with the given key. - the remote TV didn't function. We used our phone app as remote. - the door mat & bathroom cleanliness can be further improved."

"Located just beside HIG complex, so its always easy to make some last minute chocolate shopping. They provide king bed for normal room for two. And that is quite an advantage. For RM50 per night, hands down, the cheapest and best hotel in Langkawi."

"Our room was really large with a comfortable bef and lots of floor space ( great for my yoga) It was sparking clean and had super A/C and hot shower ( not that you need it). The terrace and beautiful gardens made you feel relaxed. Alina and Aleeza were great hosts, bringing us fresh coconuts from the tree and keeping the place spotless. To have your own transport is recommended but not essential. We did walk to the beach ( approx 30 minutes). The location is great as it's away from the 'tourist' part. There are plenty of eating places next door across the road and a convenience store. We will stay here again if we return to Langkawi. "
