Great spot for a bit of comfort after a hot day”
The heat of Mrauk U can be oppressive at times, especially if you visit in summer. Palace has reliable power so your AC always works, they also have warm water for those days when you need a little extra comfort. It's also just far enough away from the centre that it's always quiet. For the price, it's hard to beat in Mrauk U.

Great Staff and location”
I stayed here for 8 nights in December of 2017. The hotel is centrally located to the popular sights in Mrauk U. The staff is amazing! They helped arrange local transport and a flight out of Sittwe. They were very concerned for my safety and made me feel very welcomed.

nice hotel”
Situated in a quiet area of Mrauk U, everything you can reach walking. Nice bungalows with a private terrace, ideal for relaxing after walking through the ruins the whole day. As clean as you can expect in Myanmar. They served us an early breakfast on our last day since we had to catch the ship at 6am.

Budget hotel in good location”
Will be difficult finding anything cheaper in Mrauk U. You get the basics here with a bit more. Free breakfast; hot water, towels, water. Interior is very dated and a bit dirty. Dim lighting and terrible Wi-Fi. Location is decent and staff are helpful. Lots of bugs everywhere in Mrauk U and same at this hotel. They're still building new units here and seems the workers are housed in some of the existing rooms so expect to hear construction noise during the day and loud music at night. I recommend checking out Prince Hotel.

Clearly overpriced. ”
Out first impression when we arrived was very good. A place where you feel comfortable and relaxed in a nice quiet place With an excellent location. Then from the following morning on, we realized how much overpriced this hotel was... First of all: breakfast , when you pay more than 45 euros a room, you expect to get at least fruits .... No! In fact you have a choice between rice, noodles or extremely greasy eggs with toasts that are not even fresh.... Plus , when you take a look at the kitchen, you wonder if you are gonna have breakfast the day after. It is extremely dirty, and they use always the same oil , which in the end is very very black.... Second of all: the room, clean, pretty nice and big, with a small Cody balcony. We were in a deluxe. The only thing is you have no reading light, and sometimes the hot water doesn't show up!!! So for a 45 euros it is a bit annoying. Third of all: there is NO WIFI, they say there is but it's barely working... Like everywhere else in Mrauk U... But the thing that made me the most unhappy is this: when we arrived, we asked for boat tickets for the day we were leaving (4days later) at 7.00 am, to be able to be in Sittwe at 10-10.30 am. The manager told us it was ok! The boat was gonna leave at 7 and it would take 3h . No problem cause je was a friend of his... The night before pretty late, he then told us the boat was gonna leave at 8h00 ... We told him it us very annoying because of our connecting flight... He told us then that the boat would leave at 7.30... But in fact we arrived at the pier 7.15 and the boat left at 8.30...and it took more than 4 hours to get to Sittwe... For 25 dollars each...When it costed us 10$ each to do Sittwe-Mrauk-U with a regular boat (not government boat!) for a 4 hours trip as well... So we nearly missed our flight... Not the best hotel experience we had ... Clearly the impression to be taken for fools....

Second option”
We had booked into the Prince (worse than awful) we stayed there for an hour whilst I quickly looked on the web for an alternative. Whilst this hotel was a notch up it was still awful. The kind of accomodation that you don't want to touch anything.. the bathroom was fitlthy... beetle but spit on the walls ..dried urine around the toilet lid .. bugs everywhere.. I could go on... I wasn't expecting much for the price but I was clearly let down. Don't believe the pictures. WIFI was non existent the whole time. No block out curtains. No bathrobes. No safety box. Had to ask for a Rv control, which was pretty useless as the Rv had a mind of its own... terrible signal with only one English speaking channel.. Coffe and tea was available however I had to request it and a flask was delivered daily with hot water... for the day... cups were left dirty and tea/coffee/sugar not replenished. Staff were eager to help but language was a barrier ... trouble with Mrauk U is there is only one high end hotel (ridiculously expensive) or the rest of the budget hotels. Tried my hardest not to let it ruin my trip but......

Nice location, polite reserved staff”
Stay was not bad, mentioned good things as, cleanness, location, showers. Breakfast ok. Staff polite as required, though very reserved. Matches mentality most of people in Mrauk-U..

Work in Progress: maybe next year....”
My minimum requirement for a hotel at this price range is hot water. There was none, but the "resort" manager (who was absolutely excellent) did provide me with a tub of hot water very quickly. There was no internet, but from what I discovered there is none in most of Mrauk Oo. The "resort" location is littered and laundry is hung on railings near the restaurant. There is a large pond in front that was half filled (breeding ground for mosquitoes). There is a small breakfast but they have no facilities for meals. They have individual bungalows with comfortable beds, a good TV with few stations that goes on and off with electricity (common in the city). There is no place to comfortably sit outside the bungalow (not that you would want to do so), so it is a good spot if you are on the go for the time you are there. Until they resolve the "technical issues" the hotel is only good at half the price.

Best room in Myanmar so far”
My room is bright, clean, and spacious with good temperature control. They provide little comforts that matter like two bottles if water daily, toothbrush, soap, daily housecleaning, and a really good breakfast. Most other folks I've met are staying at Shwe Thazin, and the rooms there seem dark and depressing, as well as more expensive. The only small downside is that the street is very dark at night. Don't forget a torch.

Worth the price”
Clean and cheap hotel. Our bungalow had air-con and a small fridge. It is possible to rent bikes directly at the hotel for the same price as in the city.

Very pleasant, they accommodated us well, and quite decent option”
Would consider staying here again. Pros. Clean room and relatively spacious. Beds were comfortable. Good air conditioning, staff very pleasant and try to accommodate us in every way Neutral. About 1 km away from Main Street, but we enjoyed the walk. For breakfast they provide fied egg on either noodles or rice. Toast an option. Was mediocre – though we are not discriminating and was fine for us. Cons. The razor supplied in the room was like sandpaper, the bristles of the toothbrush came out during brushing. Though these a very minor details.

helpful staff”
The resort is very well positioned to the town and a series of the biggest Pagoda's and temples. The staff are very helpful however the town is still not really set up for tourism. The resort is under construction which will be finished shortly. English speaking tour guides are very hard to find and there is no internet so you need to have everything well planned and organised before you get there.

Alright spot”
We stayed here for 3 nights in October 2016. The rooms weren't so clean but not incredibly dirty either. Staff was nice, though didn't speak much english. Next time we may stay elsewhere if there was a better price at a similar ranked hotel.

Will never stay there again”
The only one good thing in this hotel is the staff. They are really nice and helpful. Although the breakfast is from 7 am, they served me the breakfast even at 6 am, so that i could catch the ferry back to Sittwe. The hotel has bike rental and it is possible to buy the ferry tickets also through the hotel. And the staff can arrange a guide. And now i will tell about the hotel itself. From outside it looks good, but inside is awful! The rooms are old and dirty (a glass was so dirty that i even didnt take it). The bathroom is old. And it stinks, because it is always wet there. But the most awful thing is the mold. I didnt see much mold, but the covers of the beds stink strongly. I put my cloths on the bad and it was my mistake. In Sittwe i had to give my colthes to laundry, because the smell was disgusting. I have stayed in many bad hostels in India, but i have never had such experience with the mold smell on the bed covers. I am really concerned about my health, because i have stayed there 3 nights. Although the staff is very nice, i cannot recommend this hotel because it is dangerous for health! And it is not only my opinion. Other traveler has the same experience. I am sorry for negative review, but i want to inform the travelers. They have to know what they pay for.

Basic Good value accommodation”
The rooms are spacious but basic reflecting the price. The location is just at the edge of the town and about 1km from Moe Cherrry, the town only up to standard restaurant. There are other alternatives nearer. The room was reasonably clean and the extractor fan switched on all the time to remove any smell in the toilet. Staff understand simple English but do not expect any conversation. Apart for the dining area catering for breakfast, there is not onsite facilities. They can arrange tours of the town pagoda and temples if needed.
