Easy”
The Myanmar Life Hotel is a little rough around the edges but it's basic convenience was superb. The staff is incredibly helpful and went to extra lengths to help us with our meals and transfers to the airport. It is easy to get into Yangon and see the incredible attractions. And if we would have had more time, we definitely would have tried out the lovely pool in the gardens.

New, Comfortable, Worst Internet”
Our room was new, spacious and beautiful. The bathroom was wonderful and the hot water plentiful. The staff was very industrious and kept everything very clean (indoors and out) and rushed to open doors for us and attend to our needs. We probably WOULD NOT STAY THERE AGAIN without the assurance that the internet was easily accessible. We were able to actually get on-line from our room 3 times in 8 days. With no exaggeration, it would take 2 to 2-1/2 hours to get on-line, and then about a 30-minute wait for each tab we clicked. The staff offered to let us use the office internet and even their computer. It was no better! So, if you don't have family and friends that you want to contact and you have no on-line business or personal correspondence, the Myanmar Life Hotel would be perfect for you!

Ok for a 1 night stay”
We stayed there for 1 night as we didn't want to take a risk with possible plane delays during the festive season. We had wanted a room near the swimming pool but unfortunately we were not allowed the option of adding an extra bed, so we booked the long stay suite instead. The room was rather far from the pool but albeit a quieter area. I had a bit of trouble with the unconventional tap in the shower and almost scaled myself in the process of figuring it out. The breakfast is ok, good spread of Burmese cuisine but can be quite limited in its western offering. They do have an egg station where you can order freshly cooked eggs. I felt the room is expensive as it cost us almost 140USD for a one night stay. We had better rooms at cheaper rates during our Myanmar stay. The location does make up slightly for this. The hotel is just about 5 to 10 mins drive - depending on traffic) to Yangon Airport. We also did a short outing to the Ocean Hypermarket for some last minute shopping (taxi cost 2000K one way). The friendly reception staff will order the taxi for you and they can advise how much it will cost. When we checked out, the hotel put us on its own shuttle and gave us a free lift to the airport - that's a nice touch. Looking back, if I could re-plan my trip, I may booked this hotel on my first night in Yangon as it's near to some sight-seeing destinations (of course the price has to be more competitive first!).

Close to Airport for Early Morning Departures ”
Surprisingly very good. I chose to stay here because I had an early morning flight to Naypyitaw and noticed on AGODA it had a swimming pool. If I were in Yangon for other purposes I would not stay here but as a hotel close to the airport it very good. The best thing of course is the attentiveness of the staff. I have reached the conclusion no matter how good or bad a hotel is if the hotel has good staff that is its most important attribute.

Spacious room with great location”
Myanmar Life Hotel is well located 10 min. from the airport. The well-designed and modern room had great air-conditioning, a flat screen TV with 24 stations including CNN and movie channels in English. The property does have mosquitoes, so keep your door closed. The buffet breakfast was average - be sure to pick up your coupon from reception before going to the dining room or you will never get past the door guard. Room Tip: Ask for a room closer to reception or the pool area. Rooms at the back are a long walk away.

Good place for an airport layover”
We stayed here twice as we traveled both in and out of Yangon. We chose it because it is super close to the airport (like five minutes), and the hotel offers free airport shuttle service. There are several different parts to the hotel: we stayed in the old part, which is pretty worn, with hard mattresses. But the room was big, the air-con and hot water worked, staff was very friendly, and we had a delicious lunch at the hotel restaurant. Best of all was the gorgeous saltwater pool, where we whiled away a few peaceful hours in the heat of the day before heading into downtown Yangon. I'm guessing the rooms in the new buildings are quite a bit nicer, but probably also more expensive.

Nice environment and close to airport”
We stayed there for 3 nights . The hotel was 5 minutes away from the airport. So basically there is nothing around for sightseeing. There is a 20 m pool with salt water which is clean and few people used it. The room is large and clean though the shower is not hot enough and slow. The air con is also weak. There are 2 chairs outside each room for you to enjoy the relatively fresh air in Yangon. The garden in front was huge. You can park your car in front of your room if you drive. Breakfast is mainly vegetarian in buffet style. Taste is ok. The staff were helpful too.

Isolated hotel ideally located close to airport”
I picked this hotel for its location close to the airport. It is at least 30 minutes drive from the city and very isolated. The room was good with all the normal facilities expected in a high priced hotel (Myanmar standards). The hotel wifi network was very slow and unreliable. I was happy with my short stay but would not recommend this hotel as a base for visiting Yangon unless you are prepared to hire a car and driver on a daily basis.

Better than Expected”
This hotel is very conveniently located within 5 minutes of airport. We were flying into Yangon one night and out of Yangon the next morning. Staying here was much better than staying in town, which is about a 30-minute taxi ride from airport. The hotel was nice, better than expected.

Convenient and Comfortable Hotel by the Airport”
myanmar life hotel was extremely comfortable. about 3 minutes from the airport by taxi kyats). you cannot beat the convenience of this hotel! we had a double bed deluxe and the rooms were spacious, clean, and the decorations had character. there is a dining room for free breakfast and the hotel even packed us a doggy bag for our 6am flight! free wifi in the lobby. the hotel seemed a little over priced but that's the going rate around the city.

Good option near the airport”
Myanmar Life Hotel has nice rooms, although a little dated, and a wonderful swimming pool. The included Asian breakfast buffet is very good, and their menu service is also good.

Convenience of an airport hotel”
An efficiently run, convenient, airport hotel with 24 hour service. Shuttle service to and from the airport. Given Yangons traffic problems and the ever increasing congestion caused by building and road works, a stay at the airport will reduce your stress level prior to your flight!

Airport Hotel”
Good. This is a nice property with very nice rooms for a reasonable price. It's an excellent place to stay when you need to be near the airport as we were on our last night. But it is an odd hotel in that the staff does not speak English well. I had mix ups with room service, housekeeping and reception. I also had the same problem before our trip when I wrote the hotel about it's airport shuttle. I just could not get a responsive answer to my questions about cost and availability despite several e-mails. In the end, I arranged my own transfer to the airport (only 5 minutes away)although I think I could have done this through the hotel. It seems to me that an airport hotel should have someone on staff who is reasonably fluent in English as most international travelers will communicate in English. If it were not for the language problem, I would have rated the hotel as excellent value for an airport hotel.

Good option, great pool”
Our family stayed here several nights on a recent trip where we needed to fly to Thailand. It is very close to the airport and offer shuttles to and from the airport, which was super nice. The facilities could use some updating, and the shower was pretty small. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was a big hit for the kids. Wifi was better and faster than other hotels we've stayed at in Myanmar. Breakfast was good and included with the rooms. We would recommend this hotel.

great option close to the airport”
excellent option if you want to stay near the airport. i only spent one night in yangon due to travel delays but this worked great. i was able to take a taxi to the pagoda and make it to the airport for a super early domestic flight the next morning to bagan thanks to their super easy shuttle service. they even sent me on my way with a boxed up breakfast. definitely recommend.

Clean, comfortable and friendly ”
We stayed for one night on our arrival in Myanmar. We found the hotel to be clean and comfortable and the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. We used the pool which was clean and well kept and my toddler ran around the gardens happily. There is a fair amount of building work going on in the surrounding area but it didn't bother us. The food was ok, not amazing but ok. Would definitely stay here again.
