              Feels like home! ”

I really felt like home and like being part of the family. Natalia and her mother are very friendly, as well as the rest of the staff, and treat everyone nicely! They have a big kitchen, good for meeting other guests and you can cook. They have a rooftop and a living room. I had a very good time over there. I'd come to Kuala Lumpur quite frequently, this was the first time staying here and I'm sure I'll come back here whenever I'll be in KL!

Stay here only if you are left with your last ten or twenty bucks”

The dorm had character, it being actually a converted upper floor of 2 shophouses built a long time ago. So, it was a good chance to stay in one of these shophouses which probably used to be the residence of a people two or three generations ago, if you were curious about that part of things. It's an oblong shaped unit (two in fact) inside which were partitioned several rooms, most of which had two single beds each. Some had one single bed, others had double deckers and some other combinations. But all of them had a low ceiling which aggravated the already bad ventilation due to the fact that stale air could only enter the dorm through the back because the windows in front were closed. Why I say "stale air" is because the backyard was also a designated smoking area, and the air which came in had the STENCH of cigarette smoke. Unfortunately, the owner decided that the dorm should be without air-conditioning, perhaps so that she could keep the rates low. As a result, I was unable to have a good night sleep, as firstly, KL was/is a hot city, and secondly, the layout of the dorm with its low ceiling inside the rooms actually trapped the hot air. I booked this dorm only because of the high rating I saw on Agoda, but after staying there for one night, I am afraid I cannot agree with other guests' opinions. I would not return to this dorm again. While the bathrooms had hot water, it was NOT necessary, not even in the morning. The good things about this dorm were that there were free coffee and tea, and you could do your cooking in the ktichen. Its location in the heart of Chinatown was an abivous plus point. And if you are really low on budget, well, the prices were really cheap --- on Agoda. Walk in rates start from MYR 35 for a twin sharing room. However, speaking for myself, the most important thing is to be able to have a good night sleep, and the air-condtioning is important to me unless the ventilation is good.

Oh i had such a nice quiet homey place during my stay with my young brother”

The place is in the heart of chinatown, near to bus station, LRT, pasar seni, restaurant, shopping area, petaling street. What i love is the owner / staff is really friendly. We planned to stay at other place but my brother refused and insisted to just stay there, coz of the cozziness we had there. Very quiet place, suitable for rest and not hot eventhough my room was with fan only. Free tea, coffee, kitchen with cooking utensils are the ++++. I would recommend this guesthouse to my friend for sure

Stay in a Slum with Style~”

Staying in this guesthouse is enough for a traveler to get basic accommodation need. What's make this hotel look so interesting for me is, this hotel look's like a slum in a city center. Part of the hotel use natural lighting by installing a transparent roof panel to allow the penetration of natural lighting during day time. Another interesting fact about this hotel is, some rooms even exposed to the outside, and basically make the guest of the room expose to the night air of KL. Location wise, it was extremely near to the LRT station (Pasar Seni), and it is very friendly for foodies who looking for Malaysian style Indian food. As for facilities wise, bathroom is clean & sufficient to all guest, just it would be great if the water pressure could be higher. However, dormitory is not for people that could not sleep without air-cond. In short, if you want to have a short stay in KL and experience staying in a stylish slum, this would be a very good choice for you to go for it.

It wasn't my first time at Natalias place and it was v comfortable as usual . Recently I have red some of the reviews of this place and I have found a lot of negative information but complains about high temperatures are nonsense (btw there are some A/C rooms available of you need). Bugs , unfriendly staff or calling this place as dirty is not true and it's totally unfair ! Maybe this was a feedback by some inexperienced travellers ...for sure it's a fake. I'm sure you can squeeze in a capsule with obligatory A/C at 16°C but Natalias place is a spacy place with wonderfull old wooden floor all around . Big kitchen and common area and good rules that keep the place quiet 24h (at least inside - keep in mind it's downtown and you always will hear the city, starting at 6.30, and it is hot BECAUSE YOU IN MALAYSIA !)

this is my second time staying here. first time is very awesome experince. second time.. check in is as smooth as before mostly due to the host and fast check-in at counter., my my first time there. enter room that the door&fan already switched on . clean and just nice with the price. but later it start to feel a bit hot inside the room. the fan not function well or the size of fan cannot fully cool the room.. other than that, its nice place. hopefully owner will do room with aircond in future..

              It’s a convenient place to stay ”

Right next to Pasar Seni train station, this is a conveniently placed guesthouse. It’s very clean too- I didn’t see any bugs at all over 3 nights. I was, however, surprised to find that there was no bathroom inside my room when I arrived, which wasn’t mentioned on the Agoda listing. The bathrooms (of which there are 4) are shared with everyone else in the guesthouse (of about 15(?) other guests at a time.) They all have built-in showers so all the floors are always wet. It’s a gross experience always needing to use the bathroom barefoot because shoes are required to be removed at the front door and I had no sandals or anything. It would be nice if handwash was included on the sink so that we could wash our hands afterwards- thank Jeebus I brought alcohol handwash or I would have been uncomfortable with this situation. I didn’t shower for 3 days because of how public this space is so... Free water, coffee and tea is available. Lovely staff- would come again! :)

Lovely Guesthouse, Perfect Location & Perfect Price !”

This guesthouse suited our needs perfectly :) The location is in central KL. Public transport is near and a free bus to tourist places! Plenty of food choices (Indonesian, halal, Chinese) & shopping too (for the girlfriend). The guesthouse is clean & tidy. You can meet people from around the world here! The staff helped us with tourist advice - Thanks for a brilliant stay!! Cons: Difficult to find. Hotel is opposite Travelodge hotel.

Do not expect too much from the guesthouse. My room got two single beds, fan and lamp. Thats all. For a traveller, this guesthouse is highly recommended because of the location and the price. Staffs also v helpful. Thank you.

Pretty good for one night stay”

The guesthouse is really pretty and cosy to stay. Staffs were super friendly and thoughtful. They moved me to an all girls room from a mixed room because they thought it would be more suitable. The rooms are a bit wornout, but the wall arts made the whole place look amazing. Only thing about my room was that there was no air conditioning. There was only one fan blwing air on two people. Although I was still able to fall asleep, I think my roommate wasn't. She ended up complaining throughout the whole night, keeping me awake till 3am in the morning :/. Other than that, quite a nice place to stay for a short period of time.

              Convenient place to stay ”

The hostel is very centrally located, and is about what you would expect from a hostel. Hot, clean water is available for tea and coffee, and a kitchen is also available for people to cook. Walking down the street you can find a market that cooks food all day, and you can find pretty good tasting street food for as low as 4 MR quite easily. The rooms don't have AC though, only a fan, and it can get quite hot at night.

Get what you pay for. ”

I’m happy with this place. Affordable rooms, full kitchen, nice veranda. Downside, it gets a bit stuffy w/out air-con and the largest species of bedbug I’ve ever seen. And I saw plenty. This place is like a jungle safari, except more affordable. Just do yourself a favor, don’t look at the mattress under the fitted sheet.
