Hotel which lived up to its name, Super!”
We arrived a few hours before official check in (3pm) but were able to drop off our bags. The staff were super friendly and helpful at all times. We booked a double room, room only rate, however breakfast was still included! The room: Super clean and compact! Looked just like the pictures. There was a sofa with an extra set of bedding, but I feel three people in the room would struggle for space, especially with suitcases, we just had backpacks. There were four hangers for clothes but no drawers. The black out blind was great. No view due to the frosted window. Slippers, kettle, hairdryer, fridge and various charge adaptors provided. Also a massive tv, which we didn’t use so don’t know what channels it provided. Internet was super fast. The pillows provided were filled with small marble type balls which were not so comfy, but you could choose from a variety of memory foam pillows at reception. I get the impression most bathrooms in Japanese city accommodations are compact, but I was surprised at how just how compact it was! It’s basically a little bathroom pod unit fitted into the room, it’s tiny! If you are over 6ft tall or of larger build you may struggle. You couldn’t swing your arm let alone a cat!! Having said that it was super clean and the shower had great water pressure and hot water. The toilet, heated Japanese bidet style, was a little noisy as it automatically prepares for use each time you use it, but you can turn it off should you find it annoying. Organic shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were provided, and they smelt lovely. The breakfast: Super, it’s free! We stayed four nights and breakfast was different every day. There were fresh bread rolls, mini pastries, mini hot dog sausages and some version of eggs. There was also Asian style breakfast, veggies, meat, fish and rice. Tinned fruit and yogurt. Pros: location is really convenient to everywhere. On my arrival day I took metro and came out from Kawaramachi station exit 6, I am ok if I have to climb staircase as I didn’t have big or heavy luggage to carry. Hotel is very easy to locate. Hotel lobby is at level 3. Hotel staffs are very helpful. They can speak simple English and that’s good enough. They are very efficient in solving any problems. Most hotel rooms in Japan are very small. The room is functional, clean and tidy. Warm toilet seat, high pressure water from shower which I love the most. The breakfast is nice! They have both Japanese style and western style. There’s a bus stop near the hotel and have many buses go to major sightseeings. Unbeatable location. Many famous restaurants nearby too so not worry about food. Very near famous Shinkyoguku shopping arcade and Nishiki market. Other than that there’s Takashimaya and OIOI shopping mall nearby too. Nice to shop around. Cons: no. I’ll definitely come back again!

We loved our stay at the Super Hotel! Location was extremely central, with tons of great vintage shops in the same building, a great bar (Sour) right across the street, 2 minute walk to busses and subways. The staff was very kind, check-in and check-out was super easy. The room was clean with all the ammenities we needed. The bathroom was a bit small, but that seemed to be standard in this price range in Japan. Having breakfast included was a nice plus, though the food wasn't the best. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced hotel in Kyoto!

I was first time this hotel 5 nights. exceptional location where you can find everything you need or access to. near to the metro, bus stations. there are eatery, convenient stores and places to shop, department store near to the hotel (walking distance) just 2 minutes to walk to the famous nishiki market. Overall, the place is great. Staff is great, helpful and kind. Room is clean and comfortable with all the amenities I needed. The large TV facing the bed is superb. Check in check out is super easy. highly recommended.

Free Breakfast and Strategic Location”
The hotel is very convenient which closed to subway and Nishiki Market. There are many famous ramen restaurants nearby such as Ichiran and 拉面千之风. The room was clean and just nice to put in 2 luggages. Bed and sofa are comfortable too. The free breakfast was delicious and different everyday. Hotel staff is another highlight which everyone of them are helpful and friendly. Female guests were given Mask pack during check in and each time when request password for hot spring. The check out process is hassle free. Highly recommended!

A comfortable stay”
Great location; walking distance from most places such as Nishiki market and Gion. Room was comfortably big even though the toilets were on the smaller side. Netflix was available on the staff TV. We stayed as a couple and only one of us managed to use the onsen facilities because they switched the timings for male and female throughout the day. The free toiletries provided was a really nice touch too! Did not manage to try the breakfast as we slept in, but we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a value for money place to stay in Kyoto.

It took a while to check-in due to my request for upper room, and I think the kind staff has upgraded my room to a deluxe single. Thank you very much. This hotel is in a very good location for traveling Shijo until late at night. The public bath and my room were all clean and 50 inch TV was good. There was plenty to eat for breakfast, including freshly baked bread. It was a pleasant stay.

Pros: Good location near to Hankyu Kawaramachi Station, food spots, popular attraction spots. Very good staff services. Free breakfast bento. comfortable natural hot spring facility. Comfortable bed, water pump, warm seat toilet bowl, heater in room. Free water bottle if u don't need room cleaning. Everything is so good with budget hotel price. Highly recommended!

Hotel location is great, near to public transports, tourist attractions (walking distance to Gion area) and also departmental shopping complex (Takashimaya). Room is very clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast buffet spread. Staffs are very helpful and friendly too! Received a welcome letter on the room desk upon arrival, such a lovely personal gesture =)

Modern and cosy hotel with hot spring!”
Good location near Kawaramachi station. The nishiki market is also just a stone's throw away. Ichiran is just behind the hotel :D There are lots to eat and shop there! Onsen was really convenient too, I ended up going everyday :) Staff were very polite though they spoke limited english. Entering the room was convenient - just enter your password will do! no need for keys. Only downside is the room is really tiny, didn't have much space to move around, but for the location, I will not hesitate to choose this hotel again!

Good points : - Perfect location close to public transport, restaurants, shops, bike rentals etc - Comfortable rooms and bedding - Large TV with shortcut to login to your Netflix account - Laundry room available with coin-operated machines Bad points : - Our window was covered by a privacy film, which means you cannot see anything outside apart from light. You cannot open the window either - The breakfast was very limited and basic regarding the 'Western / continental' options. Croissants, bread, jam and eggs.
