Flashpackers paradise”
Nautilus sports a dozen'ish traditional bungalows combined with all the comforts you'd enjoy if you're someone who left the low cost backpacking scene but never got rid of the backpack! After spending almost 2 weeks here, Peter and his wife felt almost like family. You'll get the perfect combination of Thai friendliness and Finnish attention to detail where it counts. Too often, bungalows get bulldozed to make way for concrete jungle hotels that break the natural flow from the resort to the beach. Nautilus retains that and more, by providing a beachfront bar that invites nearby resorts to join Nautilus residents for the sensational Koh Lanta sunsets. If you're in to diving, Dive and Relax is a 5 minute walk away. In to fitness? Run the 3km beach and back. In to peace and quiet? You're at the end of the beach away from the bars? The only hesitancy I have in writing such a glowing review (the best place I've stayed in 14 years of visiting Thailand) is that it will become perpetually booked out way in advance!

Great place for quite and romantic stay”
We spent 5 night at Nautilus Right On The Beach Resort. During the day you have a nice piece of beach shared with neighboring resort, which accommodates families with kids, so expect kids running around and making noise. Otherwise, the resort is a wonderful place for a couple to stay at Koh Lanta. Tasty food at the restaurant, friendly and helpful staff, few kilometers Saladan pier (10-15 min on tuk-tuk). The beach piece infront of the resort gets rocky during low tide, the second half of the day typically. For us this was not a concern, as we could get enough sun and sea before lunch. The resort itself is very green and pleasant. The toilet and shower are en-suit, completely private, but are not fully enclosed.

Koh Lanta Paradise”
We loved our stay at the Nautilus Right on the Beach Resort on our first trip to Thailand and Koh Lanta! Our sea view bungalow was almost too good to be true and the seclusion of the property made the experience even more enjoyable. The wonderful and friendly staff were a pleasure to speak with and we truly appreciated the exceptional service. We enjoyed walking down the beach from the resort, renting a motorbike to explore the island, and relaxing on our front porch overlooking the secluded cove of bungalows. The mango juice in the morning and pad thai for lunch were addictive and flavors we will miss. We hope to return for a longer stay in the near future! Khob Khun Krab/Ka! Nicest place in Thailand!”
Our stay here was absolutely magnificent. Out of all the resorts we stayed at in Thailand, this was by far our favorite. The rooms are right on the beach with a beautiful view and the furthest room they have is only a 20 second walk from the beach. The left of the beach is quite rocky but once you go down a little, it is quite clean and clear. The sunsets here are STUNNING. There is a bar and dining area right on the beach where you can sit back and relax while enjoying a drink. Food here tastes great and the prices are quite cheap! Breakfast is free and they have a plethora of options to choose from in the morning! The rooms themselves are quite spacious and well furnished with a fridge, comfortable bed, safe, and reclining lounge seats. The beds already come prepared with mosquito nets draped over the bed and mosquito oil repellent. Rooms are also equipped with an air conditioning unit that works great! The only issue that we had with the room was the bathroom. The bathroom was open so mosquitos could fly in and there was no hot water for the shower or sink. This will only be an issue for people who can only take hot showers, like myself. This issue was easily overlooked by how hospitable and accommodating the staff are. The staff was constantly checking in with us to make sure everything was perfect during our stay and any questions or requests we had were met with a smile on their face. For example, we were unsure of what to do on this island one night and they recommended that we visit the night market and even called us a driver to get there. When we wanted to go snorkeling, they helped us book a great package deal and also offered to prepare us breakfast earlier than their usual breakfast hours. They even booked us a driver to get to the snorkeling place! When we had to leave for the next island we were going to early in the morning, they also packed us breakfast to take with us so we weren't hungry!! There were countless acts of kindness that they did f

Exceptional”
We booked a Bungalow with garden view but unfortunately we got one of the bungalows in the back that face the wall of another bungalow than to the garden. If you book the bungalow we therefore recommend to tell them in advance that you want a real garden view bungalow. The bungalows itself are very nice, escpecially the open bathroom was an experience we have never made before. We loved it! The private beach is also very cool because it's so calm. It's at the end of Long Beach therefore not many people pass by. At low tide you can go for a walk at Long Beach. It's a really beautiful beach. There are so many spots where you can swim perfectly at low tide. The beach at Nautilus Resort is very stony during low tide. To see more of Koh Lanta you should definitely rent a motorbike or a normal bike. With the bike you can also ride easily to the center of the small village where you have a variety of food for a good price. It's cheaper than in the resort.

Fabulous understated Beach Resort”
Excellent stay as it was very quiet and peaceful but right on the beach with constant breeze good breakfast and Dinner provided by the Finnish Owner Manager and his charming and hospitable wife. I needed good Wifi to load up some Connoisseur Magazine Hotel and Restaurant reviews and articles and this was great for this. In fact I had an invitation to stay at a 5 star Phuket Resort and I declined the offer as I was so happy and relaxed here with this Desert island atmosphere ! Enjoyed a great Breakfast and some good authentic Thai home cooked food at Bargain price !get your own wine from the local 7eleven! I recommend this place for European Tourists who don't wish to stay in large commercial Resort and want to avoid crowds . Koh Lanta is quiet and has no Party animals and trashy Sex Tourists! Met a nice American couple from Seattle who extended their stay for a week staying here You could easily survive on A 50 Dollar a Day budget in what is pretty close to Paradise! I will be back!

Fantastic resort with friendly staff”
Nautilus resort is a beautiful spot in Ko Lanta with cute bungalows placed in circle around a fabulous garden. It is located on the beach and you can walk across “Long beach” from the resort when it’s low tide. The beach right in front of the hotel is a bit rocky, but just 50 meters to the right you’ll have perfect swimming conditions. The bungalows are very clean and comfortable with a fridge and hairdryer. Nautilus also have an amazing group of people working there! We experienced great service and kindness from everyone. Breakfast is ok and the restaurants food is very good. Loved our stay here!

Best place to stay in Thailand. ”
Pros Location, location, location. I don’t think there is a cleaner, nicer place to stay that is literally right on the beach. The staff were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. A special shout out needs to go to the two bartenders who made great drinks and gave us great insight on where to go and what to do in Koh Lanta. They were also very funny. Cons. Nothing. Everything was perfect. The only problem is that we didn’t stay long enough. We will definitely return to Thailand and when we do, we will be staying at Nautilus.

Fabulous, fabulous stay!! From a Canadian with high standards. Book it”
We originally booked the Nautilus for 2 nights.....once we arrived, we tacked on 7 more. It was immaculate, which is huge for me. No hair on the ground, spotless bathrooms, clean floors. The rooms are gorgeous & comfortable, but none of the pictures online, including the ones I took, do it justice - they are bright, white and the mosquito netting is romantic! The bathrooms are "outdoor" but with high walls and a thatched roof - I LOVED them! I'm terrified of spiders and worried about critters, but there were none. There was always hot water, the shower always drained (amen!) and the pressure was great. There was a good amount of counter space everywhere - I just loved it. The resort is on the beach which is beautiful -a bit rocky but swimmable and just a few minutes to the right is a perfect beach. The beach bar is run by a LOVELY couple and that made our eperience memorable. The owners & their number one gal, namely Chaya and Prang are FABULOUS. read my 2nd review about them!

Pretty much loved it”
The staff was amazing and very helpful, food was good, beach was beautiful, great location within walking distance or a short drive to a wonderful cooking course (Lanta Thai Cookery School) and great restaurants (The Garden). We were recommended an awesome driver to tour the area (old town and scenic areas). 2 negatives: we read that out was adults only? But there were more kids there than anywhere else that we've stayed... Also it took us 3 nights to regulate the temperature in the room - either the a/c was blasting right on us or it was too hot. Otherwise, everything was fantastic and we would definitely stay there again if in Koh Lanta.

Excellent hotel so lovely we stayed an extra night!”
We loved this place. Its a little piece of paradise. The staff were amazing - went above and beyond with the hospitality they even made us a fantastic homemade lemonade because we fancied that one day! The rooms were spacious and clean, lovely outside bathroom where you can shower and hear all the lovely jungle sounds. The resort is right on the beach but next to two great beach front bars perfect for happy hour sundowners. Walkable to other restaurants but the homemade food at the hotel was some of the best we had all holiday the breakfasts are outstanding too. This hotel was so cosy and relaxing that we stayed an extra night! We loved Koh Lanta and this was a great hotel to explore it from.

Great family resort”
I had a great time at Nautilus Right on the Beach Resort with my husband and his parents. The bungalows were very charming, clean and comfortable, the food was excellent and the owners were very helpful. They organised everything for us, including a wonderful private boat trip to Koh Rok on a long tail boat operated by a friendly local man and his son. The owners even remembered by birthday and gave me a cake. Will definitely recommend this place to friends!

Just perfect”
We stayed in many places in Thailand during our trip, but this one was the best. Absolutely lovely, cozy resort with ten bungalows that are clean, nice and comfortable and everything right on the beach. The food in restaurant was great and staff really really friendly. Only things to mention - the beach right in front of resort is not very suitable for swimming. It's full of rocks and if you want to bath you must for approximately 500 metres further. The second things - the coctails in the bar could be better :-) But those are just small thins, you should definitely book your stay here and enjoy an amazing atmosphere of Nautilus.

Love this place”
The kind receptionist, Maa Blang, ensured I had a great experience and that I had a warm welcome. As a solo traveler, she invited me to party with the staff. The staff is a group of very fun, kind people! During my time hanging out at the quaint beach bar, I casually mentioned that my room was too warm, that the AC wasn't as powerful as I would like. I said I was probably being too sensitive because I like to sleep in a refrigerator. The host changed me to a different room and refunded me one night. That was way more than I could have asked for. I would 100% return to Nautilus, it is good value compared to most of Koh Lanta, the beach is beautiful, and it is centrally located. I'm traveling throughout Thailand and still haven't encountered an experience like that, particularly with such a warm staff.

Excellent beach bungalows”
Firstly, the staff here are excellent. Lovely welcome when we arrived (drink, cold towel and food). The bungalows (15 no.) are all located around a beautiful garden with restaurant, bar and massage facilities onsite. The beach (although rocky so bring swim shoes) is only a stonesthrow away where you can enjoy lovely walks, swims and dinner right on the shore. We had booked for 3 nights but enjoyed it so much that we booked an additional 3 nights. The food here is excellent, we ventured out twice elsewhere for dinner and were sorry we did. Massage is great, reasonably priced and good service. Lovely bar also. Bungalow are comfortable and private and loved the outdoor bathroom! Have to shout out to all the staff as they really made our stay enjoyable. Would definitely recommend and return if on Koh Lanta again. thank you all for giving us a wonderful Christmas stay :)

I fell in love with my sea view bungalow. ”
I was only meant to stay 5 nights then move on, but Nautilus & Lanta stole my heart and I ended up spending all my time in Thailand here. Everything was perfect! greeted me with a massive hug and a beer after having a stressful transfer into Lanta. The room was stunning and I loved my "jungle / outdoor" bathroom. My room was quietly tucked in the corner of the resort with a full sea view from my bed - I was guaranteed a very peaceful sleep every night and could hear the waves crashing on the shore. Exactly what I wanted. There was nothing could not organise for me. The service was better than 5* resorts I've been to in my life, but with a heartfelt family atmosphere. I was not just another room number, (though nowhere near old enough) was my mom away from home. I'll be back to Lanta, and I'll stay nowhere else.

Wonderful days at Nautilus”
For us, staying at Nautilus was absolutely perfect. The resort is located slightly off the road at the very end of Long Beach and is a little bit hidden from the main beach due to rock formations in high tide. There are only around 15 bungalows in the spacious garden and half of them are facing the sea. The little beach area is beautiful to spend the day or to watch the gorgeous sunset... When not chilling on the beach chairs we also loved lying on our little private deck of our bungalow watching the sea. The bungalows are well maintained, modern, spacious and clean and have the vibe of a luxury beach hut. Breakfast is absolutely fantastic, super fresh and healthy. I love that it's no buffet! Also, the restaurant prepares really good Thai food. It is a bit more expensive than the places up the road but you pay for the beach front location. Staff is exceptionally friendly and takes good care of everything. Extras: Free water, free sunblock and fantastic wifi!

Great place to stay”
We stayed for 3 nights at the Nautilus. The staff were wonderful. Beach side huts are well located with A/C. The resort is a short walk from the local shops and restaurants. Handy of an evening. The Massage area by the beach is excellent. All in all we would highly recommend this hotel and would be delighted to stay there again on future trips to Koh Lanta. Thanks for a great stay.

Memorable Experience”
After spending hours on two planes, we finally reached Krabi Airport. We were exhausted from traveling from NY to Thailand. The owner of Nautilus Resort, I believe her name was Jan, made arrangements for a private minivan to pick us up, which made this part of the trip extremely convenient. When we reached the resort, we were stunned by the beautiful sunset. It was breath-taking…picture perfect…beautiful hues of blue and rich red skies! Check-in was quick and easy. Our bungalow was clean, spacious, and equipped with minimal but sufficient appliances without taking away from the gorgeous views from our room. We definitely made the right choice! As for the on-site restaurant, they served authentic Thai dishes…so much better than the Thai restaurants in NYC…the ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were dynamic (i.e., sweet, spicy, and salty…yummy!). As a foodie, I extremely approve!!! I recommend all of the seafood dishes, especially the prawns. Also, don’t forget to check out the bar. I ordered healthy fruit smoothies and refreshing drinks to compliment the hot and humid weather of Thailand. They had special prices during “sunset hours!” As for the staff, everyone was extremely accommodating. They made our trip to Thailand a memorable one. Specifically, the owner, Jan, was attentive and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. She is truly a RARE gem in the hospitality industry. On our last day, we were very sad to leave…it was our home away from home! Thank you for making our stay a memorable one. We will definitely be back!!!

Great resort in a beautiful location”
On arrival at Saladan Pear Peter organized a transfer to the resort. The resort is located 10 minutes of driving from the harbor at the west coast of Koh Lanta in a quit place of main road. It has a garden and has one restaurant which also serves for breakfast and a beach bar where also lunch and dinner is served. We had booked the beach view hut. It is located under trees with a terrace and a beautiful view. Air conditioning works good. It was very clean and had a moskito net which we didn't need. The terrace is equiped with two sunloungers and has a view to the garden and to the ocean. The beach is not crowded at all. If go for a swim you should rather do it at high tide as there are some stones in the water. The staff is very friendly and Chaya and Peter, the owners help you where they can. They booked snorkeling trips and scooters for us. Everything was great. A clear recommendations.
