Sinsuvarn Airport Suite (SHA Plus+)
Suvarnabhumi Airport,Bangkok - View on map
"the hotel is a 2-minute walk down a quiet side street. from one side of the hotel, you can actually see the airport control tower and planes parked on the tarmac, but you never hear noise; only a slight distant rumbling if you stay on the airport view side of the hotel, but nothing at all if you stay on the street side. good staff and excellent small restaurant that services only thai food but only has the menu in english. this food starts from 80 baht a plate and the most expensive dishes are ! very cheap and big portions, perfectly cooked. don't miss their red curry which is delicious and spicy. we have stayed here 4 times, usually 1 or 2 nights only, and will stay for 1 month (got a special price) later this year when my girlfriend has to go to bangkok to sit law exams. the most convenient airport hotel and probably the one with the best price-quality ratio."

Hansar Bangkok Hotel (SHA Extra Plus)
Siam,Bangkok - View on map
"I booked the Hansar Bangkok Hotel last minute as I realised I'd left my partner and I with 24 hours before flying on to Koh Samui, and a friend gave me this recommendation. We had a difficult and uncomfortable flight, and were exhausted. After arriving in the cool, spacious and palatial Hansar Bangkok hotel we felt immense relief. The staff were impeccably helpful, even double checking our next flight details for us as there had been some confusion, and the room was one of the nicest I've ever stayed in. Space, a fantastic view of a golf course (I'm not even in to golf, it was just nice to see), walking distance to many things worth walking to, and the ability to shut out the world and sleep. We slept for about 14 hours! I have a bad back and usually have a terrible time with different beds, but the bed at the Hansar was the greatest I've ever slept in. Better than my bed at home. My partner likes a firmer mattress than I do and she also found the bed brilliant. There is a washing machine in the room with detergent, a stovetop and a generously sized fridge. We didn't use these - but great to see them included! Breakfast was lovely, staff really helpful and friendly, would definitely stay here again - no problem. "

Holiday Inn Bangkok Silom (SHA Plus+)
Silom,Bangkok - View on map
"I moved from another hotel which I was unhappy with, Upon my arrival the staff at Holiday Inn were very friendly, professional and quick to check me in. It was a great experience!! The room itself was spacious, spotlessly clean and well insulated so quiet. Buffet breakfast was superb, fresh, plentiful and always being replenished. I made an international phone call to Australia for just under 15 minutes and was charged an insane amount of money 2300 BHT!! I am yet to discuss this with the hotel directly as I feel it is an outrageous amount. I'm not making a negative statement, just want other traveller's to be aware. I visit Bangkok 2-3 times per year and often use the hotel I am staying ins landline, and have never had this higher charge. Every staff member that I encountered was wonderful, all were happy, courteous and polite. I really look forward to making holiday Inn my number one choice of hotel in Bangkok. "

Amaranth Suvarnabhumi Hotel (SHA Plus+)

"After spending two weeks in Thailand and Laos, we had a very early flight to Japan to start our journey home to the United States. I had stayed at this hotel twice before and booked the great price through Agoda for my last night in Bangkok. I am so thrilled I found this hotel because I am never disappointed. The van driver picked us up from the airport and when checking in we were warmly welcomed with a smile and a refreshing welcome drink. We had never tried the restaurant, so decided to give it a try. The food was delicious and the wait staff were amazing. The restaurant if open 24 hours and room service is available if you don't feel like leaving your room. The shower in this hotel is wonderful. Very hot water with great water pressure and a waterfall shower head in addition to a hand held nozzle. Beds are comfortable with nice linens. We had a 330 am wake up call and a 4 am shuttle van scheduled. The front desk called us again at about 10 minutes before van time to be sure we were up and ready to go. That was a nice touch! I will be back to Thailand soon and the Best Western will be my go to hotel for staying near the airport! I am so happy with this hotel that next time I stay in downtown Bangkok I will try a Best Western!"

"We booked this hotel as our last night in Thailand and as it was near to the airport. Great place and still close enough to jump in a taxi to visit more central locations in Bangkok. Great staff, friendly, kind and helpful. Beautiful restaurant on the roof top, we only had drinks but the food looked amazing."

Bangna Pride Hotel & Residence (SHA Extra Plus)
Bang Na,Bangkok - View on map
"This is one of the best serviced apartments I have stayed. Room facilities are up to five-star standards and are almost brand new. We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment and it was very spacious. I would love to stay there long term if I have to live in Bangkok for a while. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. When we asked for recommendation of a good Chinese restaurant, they looked up on the Internet and printed out a map for us with directions in English and Thai and sent it to our room. The buffet breakfast was also superb. While the choices are not many, everything they offered is very delicious. Maybe because the apartment is brand new, there seemed to be some smell in the room, but I am not very sure - it could be just the "new" smell. It is not that close to the airport, but there is no need to worry about traffic jam. It cost us 275 baht from the airport to the hotel, but cost us only 200 baht from the hotel to the airport (we guess inbound and outbound are different routes). It took us about 15 minutes to get to the airport from the hotel. "

Jasmine Grande Residence (SHA Plus+)

"We stayed at this hotel for only two nights after arriving in Thailand friom the UK. The hotel is brand new and to be honest not centrally located, however Bangkok is huge and no matter where the hotel is located in the city a Taxi or Tuc tuc would be needed to get around. The hotel apartments were vast, we were upgraded on arrival (no idea why but never argue with an a free upgrade) to a three bedroom suite with three bathrooms one with Jacuzzi bath. The kitchen had all modern appliances although we did not use them, prefering to eat out, however the option was there if we needed it. Free water and mini bar in the fridge which was cheap anyway. The bell boy helped us with Taxi's and did the bartering for the price which took the strain out of all that. The staff on reception had great English and were especially helpful with advice about what to see and how to get there with the least fuss. My only criticism would be the location of the hotel as several of the taxi's home from markets ect could not find the hotel and we ended up on one occasion in a taxi which was festooned from head to toe in "hello Kitty" designs blasting rap music as loud as any gig i have ever been too, we were not sure whether to laugh or cry as the driver appeared oblivious of how inapropriate this was especially as we traveled with my 72 year old mother. we eventually stopped the cab in the middle of a motorway and flagged another Taxi down who did no where he was going. Be prepared to be amazed in Bangkok, the sights, sounds and expereinces can be tiring but well worth a couple of nights. The hotel itself I would definately recomend , it was great value for money, clean and my son used the pool each afternoon to cool off and relax in before we hit the mad bad city again in the evening. Centra by Centara Government & Convention Chaeng Watthana (SHA Plus+)
Don Mueang International Airport,Bangkok - View on map
"had a full day of business at Immigration and had no desire to fight Bangkok traffic, so looked for something close and reasonably priced. This place priced right in my sweet spot (40-60 USD) and it wasn't even a short taxi ride; I could walk to the immigration office from the hotel in 5 minutes!! The hotel is also pretty darn convenient to Don Muang airpot- which handles mainly domestic, Air Asia and charters The rooms are spacious, clean and loads of tv channels - the vast majority in Thai, Chinese, Bahasa etc. But there are a few in English with stuff like news and a movie channel. All-in-all, not bad, not great. The class of room I booked (the cheapest one) is only available in twin bed arrangement, no single queen bed available, That may not be true for the higher categories. But other than the bed thing, it was frankly, an international class hotel room for 3-4 star hotels. The place is very clean, very new and modern. The staff quite helpful. Checkin was a breeze. I got breakfast as part of my package but didn't use it because when I went at 720AM, they were being totally innundated with a large contingent of Chinese tourists. I can only assume they were all in the same group. If you stay here, and expect to do the breakfast, you may want to avoid the rush hour, or not. Take part in the pandemonium. It could be fun. In short: when I have business in that part of town; I would certainly be willing to use these guys again"
