Nice hotel with friendly staff”

We had a comfortable stay with a nice breakfast, the room was spacious, clean and quiet, the hotel location is very convenient to all that Chanthaburi has to offer and the staff were helpful and friendly, I would recommend this hotel to anybody as being very good value for money

Value for money with leisure facilities”

Nicest room in terms of condition that I have ever had when staying at Ntl Chanthaburi. I usually choose here because of the fitness, sauna and fitness facilities. Pool and sauna can get very busy late afternoon onwards. Hotel has a lot of functions. Pool was closed from noon onwards on second day due to a big wedding. Rooms don't have safe, tea or coffee, or robes.

Giant pool great staff ”

Although Chanthamburi is not a "tourist" destination this hotel caters for non English speaking guests very well, staff are friendly and very helpful with any requests you may have. Breakfast selection is great. Fruits, eggs any way you like them, plenty of hot as well as cold food, juice and coffee(all served with a smile) This is quite a large old hotel and guessing from the noise cumming from above sometimes, under a little renovation.(day time only) The room and hallways show there age a little, with worn carpet and paint peeling off in our room but appeared to be clean and tidy. For the price you get a lot of hotel for your money The swimming pool is a massive 12m x 25m with a smaller kids pool off to the side, the main pool depth starts at a quite deep 1.8 meters to 3.0 meters at the deep end. Hotel is located close to a large walking park with plenty of shadey trees,man made lake(you can feed the fish)keep fit on the equipment provided around the park. Also close is a bus station taxi ranks and mini van(taxis)that can take you most places in Thailand or across the boarder to Cambodia. Tesco Lotus is one block away which houses a large selection of places to eat western and Thai(MK's/KFC/MR Pizza/Bakerys/lots more)good sized department store as well as a small market out the back. We enjoyed our stay here, however if you want "new" with lots of glass and chrome this is not the place for you.

Very nice place to stay”

overall nice hotel and reasonably priced. we enjoyed the restaurant experience especially, as the service staff was professional and friendly. the food was excellent and entertainment wonderful. the pool area was also a big plus for this hotel. the rooms were on the older side with some wear and tear, but not so much a problem. one disappointment was the free breakfast, as some of the food items seemed spoiled and the coffee was old and way too strong. the fruit was the best part of breakfast. check in dest was very helpful and easy to deal with as they were all friendly and professional.

We used the hotel as our base to explore Chantaburi. Its central location was perfect for this, both for city excursions as for trips outside of the city. Chantaburi is underrated as tourist destination, and so was the hotel profile. From the arrival until departure the staff was polite and helpful. The large swimming pool and other facilities a luxury after a day's travel. We recommended already to friends.

Standard business-like hotel”

The New Travel Lodge is about 2km from the town centre, on the main road in. Rooms have been renovated and are now quite modern and stylish. The pool is good, though young children would need to use the smaller pool nearby, as the main one goes from 2-3 metres. Staff were attentive and pleasant.

Good choice for conference or passing through”

the hotel was listed on my garmin gps, so i followed directions which took me straight there. located on a major road. quick check-in, handed over my agoda voucher and my passport and the bell-hop took me to my room. he spoke good english, as did reception. nice clean room, with 2 free bottles of water. no room safe! (but i was only here overnight) a few english language channels on the tv. room key fob turns on/off the lights and air con, but not the tv. large conference room on 6th floor. the seminar room on 2nd floor was good, with bottled water waiting and coffee served during meeting. no pencil and paper - would have been a good touch. pool looked good, and a couple sitting round the edge. did not leave the hotel, so cannot comment on local facilities.

For years i always stay in New Travel Lodge when i visit Chanthaburi, because of the big and deep swimmingpool. I bring my family here when come, but no more. I still swim more underwater than above. But no more. They have switched from salt-water pool to chlorine. Its painful for the eyes just after a few seconds. From what i know a salt-water machine is cheaper both in installation and maintenance. 95% prefer salt over chlorine. So its a mystery for me to make something so good so bad. I hope they change it back, and i will come every week.

Good value for money ”

Overall pleasant, room was well appointed though slightly small. The building looks old from outside but inside decors are new. The pool is huge and nice but it is surprising deep (2 meters) so can;t chill in it for too long. Overall good location and price too.

simply excellent”

perfect modern room . maybe bed a little bit hard . only 500 m from bus station . superb swimming pool of 25 m . only 2 english channels on tv . but probably the best hotel in town for a cheaP PRICE.

Convenient and comfortable”

Our first time in Chantaburi and I had selected this hotel fairly randomly. Staff were very pleasant, hotel had ample car parking, room (suite) was a good size. Porter gave us a town map and comprehensive explanation on areas to visit in Chantaburi town, which was about 2 km away (too far to easily walk). Soehow we never got lost and could always find our way back. Hotel had beer garden area by the pool, with attentive staff - we had dinner there twice - mainly Thai menu. Any problems? Bed was a little hard. I think hotel was in the proces of renovations and our floor was the next one to be done, since general decor on other levels looked very new. Safety deposit at reception (not in room).

New Travel Lodge?”

Convenient location for family and getting into town. Nice pool, new facilities being built. Good selection for breakfast. Beds rock hard. Son's room had extra visitors of the cockroach variety two nights on the run.

Value accommodation with breakfast and leisure facilities”

Room is fine, basic and clean. No tea / coffee / safe in room. Stayed last year. Breakfast room layout has since been updated. And now, sauna is free (no charge) for hotel guests. Fitness and pool open at 6am, sauna at 1pm. Plenty of parking.

Big Hotel, close to center”

Staff provided nice service over the phone when we were driving to get to the hotel. Hotel is big with parking and close to center market. Room is not big not small, furniture and carpet are a bit old; however, amenities are clean. Good service, nice buffet breakfast but if compared to the price paid, consider it a bit expensive.

travel with small family”

I will go back there for sure. The only thing I would have changed is to have a soft matress as it was a bit hard and for that price i would expect a bit better but the rest is great. I stayed there 4 nights and really enjoyed it with my kid.

Beautiful hotel and good location”

In Chantaburi it is one of the better hotels in a very nice location. Enough parking, nice pool and spa, even got massage inhouse. Nice restaurant with nice selection of menu. The rooms are clean and staff has been very great and helpful.

Very accomodating stay”

The hotel is well kept and the rooms very clean and spacious. The restaurant is very good, excellent Thai food and good pizza. Pool area is very good. Big pool. Breakfast was ok, good start to the day. Look forward to the next stay.

New Clean Hotel”

Facility is new and clean. Breakfast has variety of food. The hotel only seem to have twin beds, not double bed rooms. It would have been better if the bed is slightly softer. Overall quite good hotel.
