Unhappy with Niranta process for Transit passenger”

The name Niranta Airport Transit hotel - inside Intl airport suggests that it is easy to access as a transit passenger. However, Jet Airways staff in both London and Mumbai Transit told me that I would have to have a visa to access the hotel. I was unable to access the hotel because it would appear that people I spoke to did not realise that the hotel was accessible from Transit without a visa. This should be easy for you to rectify. I hope that you will consider what I have told you and for future custom address this issue. I would like to stay with you next time I transit through Mumbai but I would like by email the process and protocol for this to happen. Please ensure that my booking fee is refunded as promised by your staff supervisor who I spoke to after getting through immigration and into the transit lounge. I had to pay extra for the privilege of using an airport lounge for sleep and rest, after paying for the Niranta hotel.I would have preferred to stay with Niranta having booked it.

Nice 1 night stay upon landing, before heading out exploring”

Stayed at the Niranta transit hotel Terminal 2 (landside), as my husband was joining the stay from Mumbai. It worked seamlessly. Once I checked in at the main desk (Level 2 in Terminal 2), I was escorted to the offsite entrance to the rooms (separate from main terminal). My husband was running late, and joined me at the offsite entrance in 30mins. We had a great night stay. The breakfast was satisfactory.

Perfect oasis and refuge”

Absolutely super airport hotel, easily accessible from and to International and Domestic passengers, arriving or leaving from Mumbai Terminal 2. You can wheel your luggage straight from baggage reclaim to your room without interruption or delay and then straight to check-in whenever you leave. The rooms are very well appointed, super-clean and comfortable. Absolutely no noise from the airport. A whole range of facilities awaits both the business or vacationing traveller, plus a restaurant serving an excellent menu at reasonable prices. If ever I have the need to transit through Mumbai, this will be my hotel of choice.

Long layover - great place to stay.”

I had over 14 hours between landing at T1 in Mumbai on a domestic flight from Nagpur, and my Virgin flight to UK which left at 3.00am. I allowed 1 hour getting to T2, which at 11.00 in the morning was just about right. So what to do? Lounges were OK but about £16 for 3 hrs. Decided to go for a room at Niranta Transit Hotel at about £78. I did not regret it. The taxi from T1 (knocked price down to 400 rupees) in a decent vehicle, took me to near the underground entrance of the hotel. Security check-in was a pain but as I was the only one at the time, the body scan and luggage scans did not take too long. The security guard rang the hotel and someone came over to check I was a bona vide guest even though I had a confirmed booking document. From then on it was plain sailing. The staff were extremely helpful and I was in my room very quickly. It was extremely clean and the Queen bed very comfortable. There were several bottles of mineral water available as well as tea and coffee. Great !

Convenient and Clean”

I had not stayed in a transit hotel before, and was pleasantly surprised by my experiences at the Niranta hotel. I arrived just before midnight, was checked in efficiently, and was able to go straight to sleep in my compact and functional (windowless) room. Early the next morning, I was able to grab a decent breakfast, and check out efficiently, to head for my connecting flight. I would certainly use this hotel again in the future if necessary, it is much more convenient than staying in any of the hotels nearby to Mumbai airport.

I stayed at the Niranta twice during the past month. I easily walked to it after arriving, and from it while departing. This took away the uncertainty of being in Mumbai traffic while trying to make a flight. The staff is extremely courteous and is always willing to make our stay more comfortable. I had access to meals around the clock. This is important for guests who arrive at all times of the day, and are also recovering from long flights. The room rates are affordable, and the rooms are very comfortable. They have all the amenities a traveler needs. A hot shower within minutes of disembarking from 25 hours of travel is one of the best feelings. I will always choose to stay at Niranta when I connect through Mumbai.

A Revelation”

We have been transiting through Mumbai for over 15 years. While we have an apartment to stay in the suburbs, we wanted to explore Niranta as an option. It was the location to start with but the whole experience was superb. The rooms are of adequate size and well maintained. I am going to stay there again in the coming week, this time with the kids.

Good- modern”

Very clean and modern furniture. 5stars for that. Do not need to go out of Terminal 2. I was transiting from domestic to international. No security personals checkpoints from domestic flight to hotel. From hotel to international checkin area have to pass 2 security guards - but the hotel staff escorted us! Helpful staff - 5 stars for that as well Negatives - room not very sound proof-could hear noises of door closing / flush etc. restaurant food is expensive (like 5star resorts), but food is just normal - nothing special. Service is good.

Very short but comfortable stay”

Was travelling with family (2 adult and 2 kids) and had next flight to catch in afternoon. Hotel is inside Terminal 2, with direction labels exactly at the exit. BWe reached at the hotel at around 3 am early morning, staff was polite and pleasant and helped us with quick check in... the room they gave us was at a different building which required us to walk for briefly 5 mins... but as we were too tired, it seemed a lot. Had to wait for around 10-15 mins for lady CRPF staff to arrive for my wife scanning. Room was clean and bed was comfortable but a little small to fit family of 4. Bathroom was clean and had all essentials. Breakfast had small variety as compared to any other 5 star hotel but taste was good . Overall a pleasant stay, will use it again for transit for sure.

My wife stayed at niranta before traveling out of mumbai. my wife like the hotel room which were quite accomodative for 3 small kids and 2 adults. we thank to niranta staff and wish them success ahead

Good for late or early flight ”

We checked in hotel upon arrival mumbai at 12am for our cruise. So stayed overnight at this hotel, very easy to find just opposite the transportation counter one level down. Hotel is very new and clean and the bed is so comfy. Breakfast is simple but good enough for us. We have fresh fruit juice, lots of fresh fruits and you can order eggs or Indian dosa, very delicious. Convenient for transit passengers. Recommended.

Great choice for overnight transit”

The hotel is at the lower arrival level, where you get your taxi, of terminal 2. It's clean, quiet and offers menu choices at its restaurant. The staff is exceptional helpful. I left my phone at the checkout counter of the duty free shop. I didn't realize it until at the checkin of the hotel. The hotel staff, a lady named Megha and the security personal help me to retrieve it from the other side of custom checkpoint. Thank you again!

Excellent location with helpful staff”

We were in transit at Mumbai for fifteen hours. Located in the airport premises, the hotel is conveniently located and the staff helpful and courteous. Facilities were good and room clean. On the whole a very good experience!

Excellent”

Decent sized room a few minutes walk from the airport check-in desks. Superbly comfortable bed, clean linen, and an excellent bathroom. Along with tea/coffee making facility in the room, what else would one want in a transit hotel. Pricy, but highly recommended. Only negative point was the surly "welcome" at the reception on arrival after a tiring journey.

Great Stay Niranta!”

Niranta is situated conveinently inside the airport and best for overnight or hourly stay. Though the minimum 4 hourly snd overnight charge comes to be the same it is yet "value for money". Friendly staff, clean rooms,. The buffet breakfast can improve & should have better quality with more options.

Nice Transit Hotel on Land side”

There are 2 transit hotels on land side at Terminal 2 . One is located at the basement 1 . For another one, you need to go out exit and walk for 3 minutes. The room was very clean and comfortable.

The easiest way to kill the night if you have early flights or late arrivals”

We used the small queen room for a night and it was fitted with all amenities that we could ask from a transit hotel. 100 USD is a little steep but I think that is mostly due to the location of the property which is literally inside the Airport. Usually we can leave luggage after checkout and collect that later but not in here as the hotel is at a place where you cannot re-enter after you check out. But a paid cloakroom was right next to it so it was not a big deal. Food was a little spicier than expected but then again it is India :)

Nice overnight stay ”

I was traveling from Colombo to London via Mumbai having to wait from 1am to 12:50 pm. Booked hotel for one night as it looked to be cheaper than to do it hourly (and it was). The checking in took at least half an hour as they couldn't find me in their sistem, but have to say staff were very friendly and apologetic. On enquiry about possibility to have breakfast I was told that hotel is very new and still developing so they do not have facilities (shurely I've seen option to book a room with breakfast and loads of advertisment how lovely their facilities are), was too tired to argue. Did not ask about the complimentary foot massage and was not offered one, so still puzzled about reviews telling how lovely it was...perhaps selective service. Otherwise was really pleasant overnight stay in very clean well equipped room. The bed was very comfy and shower was excellent. Felt well rested. Staff were very friendly, but actually I was an easy client, not needing any assistance. I'm happy with my stay and would do it again in similar circumstances, despite it being rather pricey.

100% worth it”

This hotel is in the terminal. There is a staff member from the hotel as soon as you get through security right by the escalator who tells you where to go. The hotel is perfect. Clean and modern. Breakfast included. Good WiFi. Staff speak English. So glad we booked this rather than an 11 hour wait in the airport terminal (we have done that before and I don't recommend it).

Comfortable room and bed”
