Harbourview Hotel North Sydney”

From the moment we arrived, we were met with friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are neat and clean - not luxurious, but certainly not poor. Most of the rooms have splendid panoramic views of Sydney Harbour, but you need to specify that you want such a room when booking, or else you may end up in a room which looks over North Sydney, which is nowhere near as nice. There is parking (at additional cost) but there is no need to drive as North Sydney Railway Station is only a minute's walk away. The buffet breakfast (also extra cost) is worth every cent, with a large variety of delicious foods of all types - fruit, cereals, bread, eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes and more. There is good isolation between rooms. We heard no noise from any other guests while we were in our room. This hotel is highly recommended, and we will be returning.

Great location especially for the price”

our family of six stayed at the north sydney harbourview hotel for one night in two rooms in august 2012. the rooms were fresh, neat and clean and while the hotel is small and the rooms are not large, they easily fitted a roll-out single bed. both rooms had excellent views of the harbour bridge and luna park. the staff, especially a young male in the lobby/reception area, were attentive and helpful. although we didn't dine in, the room service menu looked inviting. i would definitely recommend this hotel to overseas visitors as its location and view are fantastic without the sydney cbd price.

Great view, nice location”

The hotel located just a few steps from North Sydney train station. So, it is very comfortable to travel around by train. The view of Sydney harbour from the room is stunning. The room is clean and the bed is super comfy. If you have no problem with the noise from the train running right under the hotel, this hotel is worth staying. I stayed at level 2 and could hear the train from early morning until midnight, but for me there's no problem at all. I will definitely stay here again for the next Sydney visit.

A relaxing & great experience ”

Our 3-night stay at north Sydney harbour bridge hotel is amazing. We had a great view of the bridge, city skyline and Sydney harbour. The room service personnel are also very friendly and prompt. The hotel is only 5mins drive away from the city (note there is a $2-3 toll charge for crossing the bridge, but you can avoid it by going the longer route). For drivers, parking is $20 a night - which is a reasonable amount. Just note that parking right outside the hotel entrance is limited at times (best if the hotel can increase the number of parking lots). Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit again!

Harbour Side”

I had a blast during my stay in Sydney. My friend and I booked with North Sydney Harbourview Hotel. I didn’t get the Harbourview room, but got the regular room. The regular room had a view of the city side. While my friend had a harbourview, and says it’s a great view. Otherwise, the room and services was great. I ordered some room services, and turned out the food was appetizing. I had the steak with mashed potatoes. If you just like a pleasant atmosphere, than this place is the place. Enjoy Yourself.

Great location but small rooms”

First impress to the hotel is its location. When arriving from Sydney airport by train, the hotel location is just several steps on the right hand side of the North Sydney train station exit gate. This was good for both of us who brought big luggage each. However, we cannot find escalator or lift to bring them in to the hotel lobby. Therefore, it was need some efforts to reach hotel lobby through stairs. The service of the front desk officer was great and fast. We got a room at the 4th floor with the view of harbour. It was good but since the view is to low from the 4th floor, we asked front desk for the higher room to get better view. And luckilly, we will be given a room at the 14th floor started next day when the room available. We were very happy after having the last room. From our room, we were watching outside the harbourview at every single minute, day to night till morning and back to day and night. It was a very amazing and beautiful view. Exploring Sydney by train through the nearest train station is very easy and enjoyful.

Great View of the River/Bridge”

As I was arriving towards the North Sydney Harbourview Hotel, I thought I was interesting that it was nearby the city. Only problem was if every time I ever wanted to go into the city or sightseeing. I would have to call a taxi or take a train. It was really not such a problem, but a minor time delay. When I checked into the hotel, it looked very nice and had a friendly impression. The stuff was very helpful checking my friend and me to our rooms. When I walked into my room, which was a harbourview room. I took a look out the window, and saw such a great view of the city, the bridge and the river. I told myself if that view looked that good, then I can wait until the night. Sure enough at night, everything was lighted up and was beautiful. If you do make a reservation, do try getting the harbourview room. Hope you enjoy your stay.

Excellent hotel with great views and excellent location”

The hotel was excellent! Rooms were great - we had a family room (1 queen bed +1 single bed) with a view of fhe Harbour Bridge. Our initial room had only a side ways view of the harbour but we were moved to another room (willingly) the next day when we asked for a better view. This view was indeed good! The location of the hotel is jist above the North Sydney train station so moving around by public transport was so convenient! Also many restaurant options around. Lower floors do feel somw vibrations from the trains but it wasn't disturbing. On thw whole, we had a very comfortable stay - no complaints. Will definitely recommend this hotel

Superior hotel at a bugget price.”

I had a fantastic stay at North Sydney Harbourview Hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and the view of the harbour was unbelievable. Staying in North Sydney was nicer, quieter and more relaxed alternative to staying in central Sydney, which was only a short taxi ride away in any case. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family, and will absolutely be staying there again in the future.

Mystay at North Sydney Harbourview”

My husband and I had a wonderful two night stay at North Sydney Harbourview Hotel. My husband had stayed there previously and had told me of the wonderful view but I was blown away when I saw it. I couldn't decide whether I liked it better at night or during the day. I would have liked a more level approach to the hotel as I do have trouble with stairs but I managed. Next time I guess I will just have to use more taxis which come right up to the reception. We visit Sydney from time to time to catch up with family and friends so we will most likely use the Harbourview again. I hope I am walking better by that time. Thank you Harbourview.

Wonderful location”

For those who are visiting the North shore of Sydney the North Sydney Harbourside hotel is ideal. It is close to the CBD by train or by ferry to the Opera House. The food in the restaraunt is satisfactory and you are within walking distance of many relatively inexpensive cafes/ restaraunts. But it is the view that is to die for our room looked out onto the harbour bridge, completing the Sydney experience

Amazing view from a modest hotel”

Thanks to Agoda I managed to use some points for the booking, therefore the price we paid for a twin room was terrific....especially for the amazing view we had of the Harbour Bridge and surrounds! The room was very clean and the shower was great. Beds good and quiet other from the rumble of the odd train as the hotel sits above North Sydney station. Only other thing I'd like to see is some sort of ramp leading to the front entrance as the stairs are quite steep and carrying a large suitcase really is cumbersome. Otherwise very impressed and would stay again.

Very comfortable. Complimentary newspaper in the morning was great. Comfortable bed. Fantastic views doesn't matter whether it is the Sydney Harbour Bridge or North Sydney, it was beautiful. Dining room open till late was great as often I didn't get back to the hotel till 9pm and knowing I can get something to eat at that time was good. I knew I could have room service but sometimes it is nice to eat out of the room.

Great value room at exceptional harbour view”

North Sydney Harbourview Hotel has excellent Sydney harbour view. The room's view to Sydney bridge is superb. The room is charged at reasonable price and it is very accessible. Have a great stay there and will certainly stay again in future if I visit Sydney.

Great Handy Location and Fantastic Views”

We stayed in a harbor view room on the 13th floor. Spectacular views of the Sydney Harbor bridge, the harbor with all its boats, yachts and ferries. And the famous Luna park just down the road as well as the city in the distance. The hotel is next door to the North Sydney railway station which means you can travel all over Sydney from here including the link to the Sydney Airport. The room is basic but adequate and the bed was comfortable. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on the food. Staff were pleasant and informative. Our second time here and would definitely stay again.

Fun Time in Sydney!”

Had a great time at the North Sydney Harbourview Hotel. We went to Sydney for a birthday party and chose the hotel for proximity. We were walking distance of everything we needed and a train ride to the airport! The staff were fabulous and the view from our room was amazing - didn't close our curtains all weekend! Definitely plan to return in the future!

Just what we wanted”

My wife and I had just 20 hours for a stop-over in Sydney between flights and I looked for a hotel with a Sydney Harbour view. The best option in our modest price range looked to be The North Sydney Harbourview Hotel. It proved to be ideal. the hotel is good value for money.

Great location and average size rooms”

My wife and I had not stayed at the Harbourview Hotel for over 10 years and were very pleasantly pleased that our experience was as goos as we remembered. The restaurant offered quality food and reasonable prices and the myriad of trendy cafes along nearby Blues Point Rd makes one realise North Sydney is such a highly sort after area of Sydney. Acces to a Sydney Ferry is easy too .. just a 10 kinute stroll down Blues Point Rd to the Blues Point Wharf or, a similar stroll down to Luna Park to cath the Milsons Point Ferry.

Excellent Hotel”

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the North Sydney Harbourview Hotel. Great location, and the view of the harbour from my room was amazing. The facilities were very clean, and the staff were extremely helpful. Added bonus was complimentary use of the North Sydney Olympic Pool. The noise from the trains, that others were mentioning, wasn't half as bad as i'd feared. I highly recommmended this hotel to all.

Relax with spectacular views ”

We had a lovely relaxing holiday staying at this hotel. The north shore is a quieter part of Sydney, and it was just a quick train trip across the Sydney harbour bridge into the bustling part of the city. The view from our window was superb, this hotel is a hidden gem! The only thing that was disappointing was the noise from the trains. Our room was on the 1st floor, and the train station is directly below the hotel. Rooms on higher floors may not experience this as much, and luckily at night, the trains are less frequent
