Budget priced hotel with no frills”

We were in Las Vegas for a convention and this hotel worked out well for us. It was a short cab ride to the convention center($10 one way including tip. You could walk if you wanted to but it is a distance - I did not want to walk at night). The room was clean, a little worn, but who cares if you are looking for a deal! The staff was great! The Mardi Gras is Within walking distance to a convenience store and fast food restaurant. Free shuttle to airport and to Bally's. Pool was clean, no wifi except in lounge/restaurant, had to get ice from the bar because ice machine was not working. The food in the restaurant was decent We would stay here again. For the price, the Mardi Gras was a home run, as along as you are not looking for luxury!!

Excellent value very close to convention center”

i have stayed at the mardi gras several times over the past few years, and nothing much has really changed. the breakfast and bar snacks menu used to be better, but the basics are there. the main reason to stay at the mardi gras is its proximity to the las vegas convention center, it's about a five-minute walk. most aspects of the hotel are fine but basic. the rooms are large and the two queen beds have a wall between them giving some privacy when sharing.

Impressed with the employees that work there”

The free airport shuttle was a lot of value for me. No showtime bus tours I do not have to wait 45 minutes to 1 hour after the appointment time from MCCARRAN airport anymore. The food at Mardi Gras cafe was very delicious. Ice available, convenient store in walkable distance but it is a far walk to the action on Las Vegas Blvd. The rooms have a bed and a sofa with a kitchenette. Very good value for what they offer. I was really impressed at the employees that work on the property.

transportation”

I thought transportation to/from The Mardi Gras Hotel and Casino was provided, only to be told 'no' and had to use local taxi service which was not a guarantee. I was unable to obtain transportation to/from the convention center to attend a business conference as advertised. I feel the transportation issue did make a difference in my travel plans and did not meet my expectations of The Mardi Gras Hotel and Casino.

The perfect place to stay ”

mardi gras excellent”

this hotel is well located there is a 7-11 and mcdonalds less than a block away. the rooms are large, there is a refrigerator and plenty of towels.there is a safe in the room and an ironing board.the hotel is on paradise boulevard off of the strip and quiet.you do not have to walk through a casino to get to your room and you can park your car next to the room.i have stayed here many times and recommend it as a good buy.

Cheap and rather nasty”

Our stay at the Mardi Gras started with the spectacle of a man being chased down by a couple of baying security guards in the alleyway outside, apparently after breaking into one of the rooms. This set the tone for our stay... You obviously can't expect too much given the very cheap rates offered at the Mardi Gras: It's neither a hotel nor a casino, but rather a very basic motel with a bunch of pokie machines. And we could live with that, given the price (although the hyperbolic name could really use changing). What bothered us more were all the little things they got wrong, but didn't need to. E.g., 1) a previous guest had apparently wrapped the smoke detector in our room in a plastic bag, and the housekeeper hadn't removed this 2) The waitress in the restaurant was rather unfriendly, brought out the wrong food order, and then attempted to charge us for a drink we never ordered 3) Despite the kitchen area in our unit being fairly large, there was almost nothing in it aside from a bar fridge - not even a coffee maker or kettle 4) The fan in the bathroom was very loud, and linked to the light so impossible to avoid setting off during the night The location of this motel is fairly good, they have a regular shuttle to the strip, and their bar has some great specials - they just need to do some work on the little things.

Clean, comfortable”

It was a very decent hotel and great value for 66/night on Fri/Sat MLK weekend. A bit noisy from planes, people talking in parking lot, and neighbors but wasn't for too long and mostly quiet for the nights. Better than expected, very spacious like suite with living area/tv and kitchen with fridge. I will probably stay here again if price is right next time. TV remote was missing but they replaced it within 10 minutes at night. Didn't eat here so can't vouch for the food.

excellent”

We walked into the room and it was huge, we were very shocked because it was a very low price that we paid. the picture of the rooms are exactly what you get. it was great at night because you didn't even hear any one next door. Very quiet, and beds very comfortable. Would highly recommend this hotel. Would stay there again.

Excellent”

No coffee pot or microwave in the rooms!! The room was clean, sheets were clean. Pretty quiet property. The vending machine was out of order so we had to get a pop from the bar which was 4.75 for a can in a cup (size). Nothing's right next door but nothing a 5 or 10 min drive cant fix. Overall the stay was pleasant, I'd stay here again. Oh if your looking for a hotel with casino..the name will fool you only 10 slots lol

Great bang for the buck”

Awesome staff was very friendly and approachable. We had a good stay and always cabs around to catch a quick $7 ride to the strip. Every morning our room was cleaned and ready to go. i love the half wall between the beds too. Great idea.

Great place near The Strip and convention center”

Affordable and great place to stay with enough parking area about 10-15 mins drive to The Strip. Offers a selection of breakfast which is beyond expectation for the hotel rate. Although the hotel structure is not new, it is spacious and well kept.

Good hotels with big rooms”

I like the room, it neatly prepare and big enough for the family. But the bathroom is so small and have limited area. Another thing I like about this hotel is the shuttle bus. There's free shuttle bus to the strip but unfortunately the last bus is at 11 pm, so early for nightlife at Las Vegas 555+

Will be back!”

Arrived in Vegas at 9 30 pm and needed to be at Surrender nightclub at The Wynn by 10 30. VERY fast check in, Room was very big and clean, a lot better than what I thought it would be. the bathroom was a bit small, the sink was located right outside the bathroom and is quite small too. Very close to the Wynn wich was a huge + for me. The room was the standard with 2 queen beds, room was big with a divider in the middle of the 2 beds. I will come back to this place.

You get what you pay for...”

This is clearly a converted motor lodge, not at all unlike others in its class. It shows its age pretty obviously, both inside and out. That said, it offers great value for the money. ROOM: (Single Queen) - This was a non-smoking room, and I didn't notice any odor of stale cigarettes. The room itself was large, with a comfortable queen-sized bed and a smaller couch. There was a kind of wet bar with a fridge and sink - but only one stool? The positioning of the TV was strange, as it really couldn't be seen when lounging on the bed. There was good water pressure in the shower (a big plus). It was positioned on the "outside" of the property, so there was some noise of cars/people entering and leaving... STAFF: The staff was friendly and attentive for the most part. There were those occasional moments where they were too busy talking with each other to notice that a guest needed some attention, but that happens everywhere these days. CONVENIENCE: The location is great, a 10-15 minute walk to the strip, a few minutes to the monorail, and there is a bus stop right across the street. That came in handy, as the free shuttle bus (the one that takes guests to the airport and strip) was disabled. FOOD/DRINK: I never saw anyone in the restaurant, and the bar was sparsely populated. The advertized "Specials" weren't very special at all... I will stay here again, if the price is right.

Hotel Layout Great”

Stay at the hotel was pleasant. The hotel staff were very accommodating when I requested a rubber bath mat for the bathtub so that I felt safe. They were not able to provide me with the room location that I had reserved through Agoda but then I thought I was dealing directly with the Best Western and not a travel agency.

great location for lvcc”

I exhibit my company at the Las Vegas Convention Center often and find that the location and ability to walk to the trade show is very easy and very close. I will stay again. Thanks.

Would stay here again”

We liked this place. It's close enough to the strip but not exactly walkable in heels. There's a shuttle that leaves every hour which saved our life. The casino space was small but enjoyable enough and you get a free drink upon signing up to play $10. No complaints on the room. Very clean and good service. They had a kitchen area but there wasn't a microwave which we could have used. Good experience.

Helpful staffs and good locations”

The best value for money locations I can get in Vegas, the room is hudge!! I like it very much and plan to return next year.
