Exceptional”
We stayed at Luxor next door for 2 nights and then moved here and we wish we spent all 4 nights at Mandalay Bay. The room was much nicer and the resort didn’t smell of smoke. The facilities including the pool/beach area were amazing. We utilised the gym which was great and the food was nice too. The aquarium was small but interesting and it’s only a short walk to the Welcome To Fabulous Las Vegas sign. Would definitely stay again if we were to return to Las Vegas in the future.

Great place to relax and see Las Vegas”
I took my sister on her visit to Las Vegas. I chose the Mandalay because it has all the best of Las Vegas without the rush and bustle of the central part of the strip but it is still easy to get to anywhere on the Strip. It has great restaurants and we enjoyed a great meal at Aureole,it really is amazing watching the wine angels fetching wine bottles. Best of all we even came back with money from the Casino!

Fabulous room and nice service!”
The staff here was FABULOUSLY helpful. The guy who checked me in said the minibar is weighted so if you touch anything they charge, and as a diabetic I needed to refrigerate my insulin, so he had a mini-fridge brought into my room without charge. When checking out at 11am on the day we left, the hotel also had a baggage storage service (our flight out was later that night) with no additional charge. I knew Vegas was going to be a splurge and it felt like everything was $$$, but aside from the $18/day resort charge (which included wi-fi) Mandalay bay was really accommodating and comfortable. Totally worth it!

Comfortable and clean hotel at off-peak rates”
Generally it was a good stay. We arrived on the last day of peak season for 3 days, so first day was at full price, whereas the other 2 days were at double digits per night, which was well worth the quality of the hotel. However for a 4 star hotel, I was disappointed to find that there were no toothbrushes/toothpaste provided, although a sewing kit was provided. At checkin, I chose to have a king size bed but my room was a double queen room. Because I was leaving for Grand Canyon early the next day, I did not bother to have it changed. That said, there are a bunch of good restaurants by celebrity chefs, we tried Lupo by Wolfgang Puck and it was great. Citizens serve good breakfast as early as 6am. Checkin and checkout was speedy. There is a shopping strip access to Luxor and Excalibur, which was very convenient. Located at the southern most end of the Las Vegas strip, it could be a little inconvenient if you want to get to the Venetian in a jiffy. We actually walked north to the Bellagio and Venetian during our stay in winter and it was not that far, considering the many sights and sounds along the way. Buses are aplenty, though a little pricey for the distance. All in all, if I were to pay 300+ for a night, I might not choose Mandalay bay as there are better situated hotels for that price. But for below $100, it is definitely good value. In summer, they have a large artificial beach and multiple pools below.

Great stay at Mandalay Bay!”
It was my first time staying at Mandalay Bay Resort. The resort was beautiful and the room was very clean. It is located at the north end of the strip so it is much quieter, but still very easy to get around. My only complaint is that the staff at the front desk were not very friendly. However it was a great stay overall and I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel and great pool but...”
Overall we had a very nice stay at the Mandalay Bay and would recommend this hotel. The rooms were very nice, clean and spacious. Only ding is that we stayed here for the last four nights of our vacation having staying in the center of the strip for the first half. We chose the hotel mostly for the pools for our kids and found out when checking in at that the pools would be be closed at 4:30 each day for a concert series that was scheduled. I was a bit frustrated as I did not know they closed the facility from time to time for events. If we stay again I will do my research with this in mind. We ended up changing our plans around so that the kids could spend mornings at the pool instead of late afternoons as we had planned. It worked out ok and overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Great Hotel Stay with nice beach in hotel”
Our stay in Mandalay Bay Hotel was great. I particularly liked the swimming facilities with a sandy beach right within your hotel. Room size was very big and comfortable. Staff was friendly with moving our luggage from the car to the hotel room. Parking is free at most hotels in Las Vegas! Location was good even though it is located at the front of the stripe. Take your time to walk down to visit the other hotels and back.

2014 law conference”
everything was quite satisfactory. my only complaint was the distance from the mandalay bay to the convention center. with those that have difficulty walking they should offer trolley shuttle service. also, i never understand why you cannot sit in the lobby of a las vegas hotel when you are waiting to meet people.

Resortists? One Could Say That”
A great hotel in general; beautiful, grand and lots to do and see. Pity that like other Vegas hotels (and Vegas in general), everything is expensive as heck. A meal will set you back at least $15, and that's a cheaper option too! That being said, what you pay for is what you get, and Mandalay gives you everything from a clean and comfortable room, nice views, a beautiful resort and even a monorail to Luxor and other hotels. A great place to stay for business people - for the average family looking for a cheaper place to say, Mandalay Bay may not be on the top of your list - it's expensive, but it's well worth it if one can afford it.

No questions its a very nice hotel”
But, for the first timer we had problem to find their parking area the signs are not clear where to go we had few times of roaming around to find the parking at the same place again and again! And when we finally found it met other people just did the same! my Husband was frustrated but we just end up laughing because We are not the only one was lost. The casino is not giving anything! spent grand never had chance to get any winning. at this time almost everything in there are closed, never had a chance to swim in their swimming pool cuz its closed at 6pm. Its a non smoking room but we smelled pot from our room at Midnight at first we ignored it but was goes on for hr We couldn't sleep because of the strong smell We called the front disk hoping they put us in a different room and they did but the room key they gave us when we got there our key didn't work! So we end up sleeping in our stinky pot smoke room. And that was given me bad headache I need to took 2 tablets of advil in order to slept that night. That was the bad experienced We had in Mandalay Bay. But the Hotel it self is Very Nice NO doubt.

Good Location near Las vegas South Strip”
Within 10min walking distance you are in the centre of the South Las Vegas Strip where you find a lot of other famoust casinos and restaurants. The rooms are comfortable and have large nice washrooms. A big disandvantage is the pricing for the internet!

Gorgeous hotel that is an oasis of quiet calm”
we loved the getaway weekend at this beautiful hotel and resort, but it would have been great if we had been notified up front that the legendary pool complex at the mandalay bay would be closed and unavailable at the time of our stay. the kids were heartbroken that they couldn't go in!

My first trip to Vegas!!!”
the rooms were cozy, clean and had awesome views. the staff is warm and friendly always greeting with a smile. the hotel is more laid back than others, more of a family or professional atmosphere. there is little smoke and not obnoxiously loud. although we didn't get a chance to visit the pool area due to cold weather it looked and sounded like a lot of fun. one minus is that there were not that many cocktail waitresses and the ones working mainly hung around the tables, so don't expect to get a drink playing slots... besides that we had an amazing first trip to vegas at the mandalay bay resort!

Impressive hotel”
A very satisfactory stay. Well-run hotel with impressive ambiance and very handy for the strip. Good views from room, good room service and lots of food outlets. Tedious to have to walk past row upon row of slot machines in the casino (which allows a lot of smoking) to get to a restaurant and walk a great deal further through the casino to get to the car park.

Exceptional”
Booked a king room 2 months before arrival. Upon arrival there were no king rooms available. Desk clerk said that in the fine print rooms are subject to availability, wouldn’t upgrade. We were told to check the next day for an available king room as 1000 people were checking out. The next day one was available, this clerk was very friendly and upgraded us to a JR suite. Hotel was nice. Room walls are paper thin. There is a fridge in the room, but you have to pay $50/day to put your own stuff in it. So buying a styrafoam cooler to keep beers/drinks leftover food cold is the cheeper option. There is a mini Tassimo in the room you can boil water through to make coffee or tea you bring for free, ANYTHING else you touch or use from the snack/mini fridge is billed directly to your room (standard at most resorts). With the exception of the first desk clearly not willing to give us a king room. The staff (including all room and casino care takers) were very friendly and willing to help.

Time consuming”
When arriving at the Mandalay Bay for the first time, one has no clue where to park. There are no signs saying "Hotel Parking". We only saw a little sign before entering the parking saying "Self Parking" and bigger signs before entering the driveway leading up to the hotel saying "Valet Parking", but no "Mandalay Bay Hotel Parking". The most obvious thing to do is to drive up to the hotel via the driveway, only to hear one has to take a left at the end of the entrance of the hotel. One is directed on a little pavement with a few signs saying "Self Parking" and then all signs stop. At the end of this pavement, one has to cross the street again, but it's not obvious that the way to the parking is across the street. It is confusing as there also is a Mandalay Bay shopping centre. Once we finally found the self parking, there was not one sign in the parking lot pointing us towards the hotel. Once in the hotel, there are hardly any signs pointing you towards the hotel lobby and if there are signs, they are not consistent. Once in the hotel, there are no signs directing towards the parking. There are no signs showing the way towards the Las Vegas Strip. The hotel and the casino are a maze and people get really frustrated trying to find there way around. Even getting out of the room and going outside is a big deal at the Mandalay Bay hotel. We parked at D9 without realising there is a D9 on every floor. The number of the location where one is parked consists of three characters, but the first character, which is the floor, is separate from the characters for your location. Moreover, the floor is in a much smaller font and in a different colour and doesn't even seem to be part of the location. At first glance, one doesn't even see the first character which is the floor one is on.

Engagement Weekend”
We actually stayed in The Delano which is the suite tower for The Mandalay Bay Hotel. The Hotel was just finishing a complete makeover and our suite was brand new! We loved our suite and we will continue to stay here for years to come. The only thing we will change is that next time we are going to book a suite on a higher floor.

lovely hotel and service with a smile”
this is a great hotel on the las vegas strip, very well maintained, the decor stays within the hotel theme, unlike other hotels which are a mismatch of stuff. our room was large and very well furnished
