Comfortable and great location!”
We enjoyed our stay despite some inclement weather, making the danube swollen. But the Novotel in Budapest was very comfortable and we would definitely return.

Good location, friendly and helpful staff”
Novotel Danube Hotel has a very good location for tourists, right next to Danube river and opposite the Parliament house. From the hotel window, I could look down on Danube river and see Margarit bridge and island. The hotel is in walking distance to Chain Bridge and the Funicular station to go up to Castle District. Besides, the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Room is quite big with the separate toilet and shower room, very convenient for family stay. However, the foods are not so good.

Nice location of reasonable price”
Location: The hotel has been located alongside the River Danube which is only 3min walk from the metro station. It is right opposite to the Parliment - with stunning night view like a golden palace. There are also a couple of bus and tram routes which may carry tourists around. If you want to get to the uphill tram station to the palace, just 10-15min walk and you will be there. There are also a couple of small restaurants and mini markets nearby, though choices maybe limited. Price: Reasonably priced given we took the early bird offer - we have not checked the normal rates, though. Rooms: Rooms are clean and pretty spacious with required facilities. Other facities: Only one sauna room is available. For tourists who are not used to having sauna with opposite sex, you may need to give it up. Fitness room is a relatively small one with basic equipments. Service: Staff has been nice, friendly and helpful. English is not a problem at the reception desk but other staff (e.g. housekeepers) may not know English. Overall, this has been a well-located hotel of reasonable price.

A COMFORTABLE HOTEL IN SUPERB RIVERSIDE LOCATION”
VERY SATISFACTORY; WE ENJOYED OUR STAY AT THE NOVOTEL DANUBE PRIMARILY DUE TO IT'S SUPERB LOCATION ACROSS THE DANUBE FROM THE PARLIAMENT BUILDING

Good hotel with a reasonable price tag”
We landed in Budapest on 20th August, St. Istevan's Day, and the place around the Hotel had turned into a festival venue with food/ drinks kiosks all over the river front street. The hotel is within walking distance from the Fisherman's Cove, from where we experienced a spectacular fireworks that evening. The hotel is within a few minutes walking distance from the Underground, tram & bus stations. We found the guest rooms very clean and well appointed. The breakfast was also good. We did not find any restaurants close to the hotel.

My favourite hotel in Budapest”
I have returned to this hotel several times, I love it. Great staff, good location, clean spacious rooms. Its on the Buda side but I think th`e location is pretty good with a metro and tram a few minutes walk and Budapest having a great public transport system you are 10-20 minutes form anywhere in the Pest area. I have stayed in a few hotels in Pest that are old and not as clean as this despite equal star ranking as this hotel, but this hotel is modern and clean.

Perfect 2-night stay in Budapest”
Upgraded the room when knowing we were on our honeymoon, we were so grateful. People were all nice, breakfast was good too. Perfect night view through the window - didn't have to go outside staying cold to enjoy THE most famous night view of the city. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Budapest and love to stay there again myself in the future.

Compact modern hotel, conveniently located”
We stayed in a Superior Double Room. This included a double bed and a double sofa bed for the kids. However most of the time the kids were staying with relatives so did not use the room much. This worked out well as the room was too small to comfortably fit a family of four. Of course where budgets are tight this is still an option. The room is modern clean and compact. Storage space is limited due to the compact nature of the room. The only minor thing I can think of that could be improved is a more modern TV that accepts HDMI input. The WiFi was good - free and worked throughout the hotel. The breakfast was included and was good the first couple of times but never changed so we got bored of it after a few days. The staff were helpful. The gym was small but presumably fine (we didn't use it). There was a sauna. The location of the hotel was fantastic. A 10-15 minutes walk to Margaret Bridge, Mamut and Bimbo Ut. And it's right on the river across from the Parliament - fantastic view.

Value for money”
Great place to stay when visiting Budapest, convenient location just a short walk from a metro station. Small room, but you are not there to live in the room, rather go out and explore the city. We were there for the Formula 1 GP - to get out there was, however, quite a trip

Great view on Riverside”
We had a good stay but did not care for the bathroom setup. It was divided into 2 rooms and the rooms were cramped. We learned that all national museums are closed on Mondays so we rented bikes from the hotel and rode around Margret Island.

Review”
Nice hotel in a superb location by the river overlooking the parliament, kitchen food is also very tasty, only the price is a little bit above the average. Overall highly recommended.

great location, not very helpful staff”
We spent 3 nights in this hotel. The best thing is its location, what is very close to subway lines, trams and buses. Our room was clean and comfortable, though we had problem taking a normal shower, since the water was rather scarce and was just leaking from the rather huge showerhead. We mentioned it at the reception and they've offered a quick fix, but no any improvement was done. For breakfast there was a wide selection of food and it was delicious. The other drinks and food we had were also good and tasty with the waiters being very kind and helpful. If the water supply is improved we'll go back, otherwise I'm not sure.

Awesome location but some rude staffs”
Overall experience could be splendid but was average instead. Love the free internet all over the hotel. The reception/concierge very helpful with information hop on/off bus/boat ride and maps of the city. Unfortunately, we had 2 bad experience i.e. one of the male waiter in the restaurant where he knocked down one of our mobile phone while clearing up the plates without a simple sorry but he smirked instead; and during check-out the staff at reception charged me twice for breakfast where one of the breakfast charged the day of my check in (arrived at 1.30pm) but I only noticed them when she printed out the official receipt but she condescendingly tried to put the blame on me for her mistake as she had mentioned it verbally a long list of the things of what I have to pay. But she did apologise at the end and thank me for my understanding for her mistake.

Clean, modern hotel near Danube river.”
Right across the river from Parliament building, the hotel is a quick walk from metro station and large supermarket, and walking distance from castle, Citadel, and both Chain / Margaritte(?) bridges. We enjoyed taking evening strolls along the river, and the excellent views of the city lit up at night. The metro station ( line 2) conveniently connected us to Keleti and Deli train stations. There are more eating options on the Pest side.

Book a room facing the Parliament and you will enjoy it!”
Old furnished hotel but pretty well equiped. Some staffs are nice and some are not. Carpark for €15/night. Good goulash at the restaurant. The shower’s pressure and temperature are inconsistent.

Nice breakfast, close to public transport”
Very accommodating staff. We arranged several outings through the front desk. Recommend you use the "Hop on, hop off' public transport that includes boat and bus stops close to the hotel. Parking lot was immediately in front of the hotel which was nice for security and access
