Highly recommend this hotel for convenience and price”
As an avid snorkeler have passed through Manado on the way to Bunaken Island as well as a layover city on the way to Raja Ampat and have used the Novotel Hotel on three occasions. The hotel is only about 15 minutes from the Airport (should be a 100,000 Rupiah taxi drive) and centered in the midst of a golf course which is a sound buffer from any highway traffic. The rooms are immaculately clean, quiet, and noticed this year that instead of placing one or two plastic bottles of drinking water, the rooms have water dispensers with a 5 gallon jug on top. The restaurant food is equally up to western and standards. Tourists have the option when making a reservation to include the morning buffet breakfast. I noticed I hadn't included the breakfast, so I happily paid an additional 115,00 Rupiahs for an amazing buffet breakfast with too many food options to mention. The service manager Jems Alfriano Malore, in particular made sure my stay was pleasant and hassle free.

Best stay for layover”
We stayed in this hotel twice on our way to and from our diving destinations. The first room we were given was on the second, that is ground, floor and was a previously smoking room. And the smell was still lurking. The shower was a bit leaky and moldy. Nothing terribly bad, but not perfect. The second room we got was on the fourth floor, spacious and spotlessly clean. Mattresses are decent. Air conditioning well performing. Sleep was quiet and restful. The breakfast is very good, both in quality and variety of food. The restaurant is otherwise a bit pricey and some dishes aren't done properly. Reception staff is very helpful. Overall this hotel is fine choice for staying after or before flights. We went to the Manado city on occasion. And were happy that we choose Novotel. Few tips: there is an excellent restaurant "Tuna House" some ten minutes walk or short taxi ride north. About 400 meters north of the hotel there is a nice shopping mall with kids zone and some nice souvenirs.

It was a pretty hotel, with a good scenic views all around, it's a affordable place for 4 star level and good value for the price. The location is great it's on the main road and 10 minutes to the airport but it's not noisy at all. Except if there's any wedding going on and the and the family is staying next door. If you to find food outside you need to drive a bit on the main road to get to any restaurant. There's many delicious restaurant nearby. It was comfortable. The room was nice. But I think they need to upgrade/change some of the interior/furniture as it look pretty worn out already. The room and all around the hotel is clean enough. The breakfast is worth it. It's not that complete but it has many options. The gym is okay but it needs frequent maintenance. The pool is great but will be better if the filter is on or maintained daily. Some of the walls area need to be painted and clean up. So with some bathroom glass wall. The staff are awesome and friendly. They'd serve the best help. Overall it's a good hotel and the customer service from people like Jems makes me want to come back and stay there again.

we paid for deluxe room, but they were fully booked. to our surprise, they upgraded us to suite! sweet! the welcome drinks were very tasty! overall awesome staffs, and awesome food!!!! some inputs though: 1. lightings in the room should be fixed since it gets quite dark with all the yellow lighting 2. add doorbells to the room. we weren't able to answer the door right away since they can only knock. (unheard)

Great room but where's the bacon?”
Great to arrive at Novotel Manado for first time in several years. Still looks good. Thankful for room upgrade from helpful young lady in reception. Large, clean, well equipped room with jug of chilled water ready. Slept so well & up early for breakfast, which on previous visits to the hotel was excellent. Things have changed - no bacon and baked beans, which was disappointing; however, good array of fruit, breads and even spaghetti! After morning walk good to get back to comforts of room. Plan to visit again.

It's huge as it has golf court next to the hotel and also some halls for convention, wedding etc. I stayed during weekend, so it's very busy as there were weddings 2 days in a row. One wedding even held outside the resort at the nearest site as no more hall available, but the groups stayed at the hotel so it was crowded. I don't really mind the noise, but sad i didn't get to try the pool.

Needto waitfor 3hours to get our rooms. we book 3 non smooking rooms. Cek in at 13.30. wait around 40 min to get the first room. And wait another 1 hoursto get the 2nd room.with reason. There is still a guest that extended their stay because the flight will be at noon. Which is not a good reason for us. The check in policy is 14.00 and check out 12.00. and we got our 3rd room after 3 hours waiting. The hotel it self not that crowded.so they should over us another empty room.and they give the guest that come after us, their room first. When i complained they said because we req for connecting room, and that is not true, we never req that. The staff indeed apologized but in my opinion they should give us compensation for the long wait. Ohh and we need to move to another rooms at 22.00 because the AC is leaking really bad.and all the rooms reeks of smoke really bad. Will never comeback

Wonderful staff but tired facilities ”
The staff were lovely and went above and beyond, but the facilities were just gross. My room smelled of mildew and had paint peeling off the walls. The whole property is somewhat strange - tired and run down. The only bonus is that it’s near the airport. There is nothing around to walk to, and the food at the restaurant was overpriced and mediocre.

Hotel Okay but not worth the price paid”
I stayed there for a couple of night in march 2019. For the amount of money paid I was expecting better. Bathroom definitely needed a better cleanning, the glass in the shower had alot of soap on it. Also presence of mold on the calking and some on the ceiling. This would be easy fix with some thourough cleaning and some little maintenance. The food was okay no more. Than again if I had paid less that would not have been a problem.
