Amazing Hotel with fantastic staff and FOOD!”
We were so please we chose the Novotel Max to stay at whilst in Yangon. From the moment we arrived the staff bent over backwards to please and help us. From moving us to a new room when we were worried it was too close to the pool, to always helping my wife with vegetarian selections in the restaurant, and helping arrange taxis and negotiate prices. Every staff member was exceptional - the best service we have had anywhere in the world. The facilities are top class. The buffet breakfast has the best selection of any hotel we have ever visited and the gym was world class. The rooms were spacious, the wifi very fast and the bed was huge and amazingly comfortable. Whilst obviously in the higher price range for Yangon - our stay was worth every dollar. Special mention to Business Manager Min Kaung San and Concierge Patrick for their amazing service and friendly demeanour at all times.

Attentive competent staff make all the difference”
I have stayed at the Novotel in Yangon on several occasions for work-related trips. The staff here are excellent. Courteous, friendly and efficient and that includes all the staff that I encountered - at reception, concierge, security, gym and pool, housekeeping, room service. They understand your questions and needs and respond. They even go out of their way to seek information which I really appreciated. The rooms are nice and clean and the housekeeping staff pay daily attention to details.You know how in some hotels things slip a bit on day 2 or 3 - not so at this Novotel. Only downside - I am a non-smoker and I had a no-smoking room. But the smell of smoke somehow got into my room. It seemed to come through the ventilation system and was worse when I turned off the AC. I know it is difficult but it would be great if this could be a completely non-smoking facility. Then this problem would go away. Otherwise I am very positive about the Novotel and my experiences there.

Oasis in developing Yangon”
Novotel Yangon Max carries the Novotel brand name well. A new kid in the block, location is not most central, although there is a shopping mall 5 min walk away. Hotel staff is excellent and eager to help you sort out taxi arrangements and tailoring needs. Hotel amenities are excellent. I loved the pool and lounge area.

booked the deluxe room with no breakfast online. When check in at the Hotel, they offer us with executive room which includes use of premium lounge which includes soft drink all day long and snacks and finger foods also we enjoy happy hour cocktails and any alcohol for two hours. All that for extra US$35 a day. The pool was great just wish that it was more closer to the Guest room. Didn’t like the idea of walking up the stairs to get to the pool area. The breakfast was excellent with so much choices . Oh also the happy hours including a mini snacks like mini burgers and pizza which means didn’t have to worry about kids dinner that was a bonus.I would definitely stay there again and enjoy the luxury.Thank you Novotel👍 PS :: if you need a taxi while you in Yangon ,I recommend using Myanmar Peter. he has a very Clean, reliable, air-conditioned sedan. My parents visited me in Yangon and had *the best time* not only visiting the city/country, but also staying at Novotel. We also stayed at Novotel near Inle Lake and it totally made their trip. My mom is particularly picky about the beds she sleeps on and she repeatedly mentioned that she slept incredibly well and was very comfortable throughout her stay. We also got our hair washed ("shampoo" on spa list) which is a popular thing for Myanmar women to do and it includes a short massage and blow dry - we both absolutely loved it and the price was very reasonable.

Firstly, the location is good and quite convenient for car parking. The staffs are so friendly and very helpful. The rooms are fairly spacious and clean as well. But I feel a bit surprised about fruits cutting styles & displays at Buffet Breakfast Counter. That needs to be improved and it would be perfect. Anyway, I'm very happy for my stay at Novotel Yangon Max.

I stayed for 2 nights when I visited Yangon for a business purpose. Room is clean and comfortable. It was better if they have a bath tub. What I liked the most about the room was bed. Staff was cheerful and very helpful. Enjoyed the buffet at the breakfast. Though it is a bit away from downtown area, I definitely recommend this hotel for the stay in Yangon.

Great business hotel”
Recently built hotel with modern rooms and all the high quality services you need. Good value for money, liked it a lot. Though location and access as a business hotel is not ideal: 1) Access from Nar Nat Taw street is not obvious, local drivers usually missed it 2) Pyay Road (and generally Yangon) traffic might be bad in rush hours, make sure to leave on time to your business district meetings, because that nice 20 minute-looking ride on Google Maps can easily become 1 hour hassle.

Great hotel. Very good staff. Great bed in fact the best I have had in any hotel. Room a bit small. ”
Food excellent. Room a bit small especially around the bed. TV did not have a great solection of English shows. Only one movie chanel. Needs shade cover over tables near pool for dinning guests. Little bit of a rabbit Warren when checkin the bar areas. Too many steps up and down to get to the guest room and also to facilties. Walk around in circles to find what your looking for. BUT having said all that it would still be my first choice on returning to Yangon. Oh one more small thing the temp in restaurants and bars and lounges seamed a bit warm for my comfort!

enjoyed the stay but my only issue is the boy coming to my room at 9am every morning to ask me if everything is fine, we dont usually wake up so early for business trips since we have entertainment the night before, will appreciate no disruption early in the day. We dont get such things in other novotels around the world

Good Property but price high for this country”
Higher price than one might expect, but a good property. Better value to be found close by. Arrived at dinner late (Indian buffet). Set price was 36 USD ++, but they informed that buffet closed in 30 minutes. Three of us wanted to eat and would have done so, if they had been flexible on the high set-price for only 30 minutes access. No deal. Lost opportunity for the hotel and for us. Went to the bar for bar food. Very smoky room, non-smoking area only has low coffee tables, not conducive for eating. Service terrible. Check-in staff very good, but the process was labouriously long and protracted. Small computer area and a printer, free, very nice touch, like that.

5 star hotel stay”
We stayed there for 3 nights. 1 night in deluxe room and 2 nights in deluxe suite room (present from hotel for our wedding reception) One of the best hotel stays. Staffs are friendly and attentive. Always greet and welcome with a bright smile. Breakfast buffet spread is very good. A lot of variety and taste great. It's located within walking distance from Junction Square shopping mall and on the main road (Pyae Road). The only downside is that the deluxe room is a bit small and feel cramped. Deluxe suite is much better and more comfortable in terms of size. I would definitely stay there again in the future.

Good Hotel in Yangon, but deducting some small points”
The hotel was very good with friendly staff. Bed was so comfy. Breakfast was good. All staffs were very friendly & helpful. Always saw their smile and politeness. Bathroom was also good. Very relax by powerful hot shower, but there was NO shaver & body lotion which should have in 5-star hotel. During stay 3 nights here, complimentary drinking water wasn't filled up on 2nd & 3rd night. I have to call and ask the operator for giving me a water. Totally was good for staying here, but believe that it could be a bit improved for perfectly 5-star hotel.
