Simply great!”

Fantastic location especially if you are arriving by train to Keléti station (hotel is on your left when you come out of the station). All major sights are just a bus ride down the road and you can take literally any bus (5, 7, 178.....) going down Rákóczi Út. to get to them. Check-in at 3 pm is a little bit late if you arrive in the morning but you can leave your luggage at the reception and visit Vaydahunyad Castle and Heroes' Square which are wallking distance from the hotel in the meantime. My room and bathroom were spotless even though not the size confirmed when I booked. Breakfast buffet offers a great choice and is well worth 5 EUR. I higly recommend Novum Golden Park and will be back myself as two days were not enough to see all the sights.

One night stay in Budapest”

Hotel was close too everything , value for money. Excellent shower pressure, nice bed, and very easy to locate if you are first timer in Budapest. But it is without a fridge, no mineral water when check in, and some of looks too tire to answer any enquirers. And many of lamps in the room did not work, cleaning staff will knock a the door at 9 am asking you when you are checking out. Overall , it was nice stay but they can improve on it.

Read so many negative reviews about this hotel. The hotel is exactly in front of the Railway station and Metro Station. Arena Mall is about 600m away from the hotel. Its huge. There is a supermarket next to the hotel. I think the hotel just repainted some of the rooms. Looks new. The carpet though. I have to agree with other reviewers. It is dirty. And the lift is small. Could only fit about 4 pax max? The tv signal is also poor. If you’re looking for a short stay so that you can easily connect to the Railway station just like I did then perhaps this hotel could be an option.

I was able to rest well”

For a budget hotel like Golden park, it is worth every penny. It is near central station so no problem waiting for sleeper trains. It is also next to subway station and along main road so public transportation is not a problem 24hrs.

Great location but small rooms”

the hotel is just in front of the budapest railway station. it is very convenient if you have reached the budapest in late evening. the receptionist is very helpfull as well. you can find a lot of variety in the breakfast

Great location ”

Pros: Clean spacious room, great location near train station, tram stop, metro station, arena shopping mall, spar supermarket. Plentiful varied breakfast. Nice evening meal at attached Italian restaurant. Luggage storage. Cons: 3pm check in which is very late. Check in time adhered to exactly and staff nice when you get to speak to them but don’t really acknowledge you when queuing at reception (queues possibly caused by strict 3pm check in!) Would recommend hotel as thoroughly enjoyed staying there.

It is located right beside the train station, with friendly staff who helps provides good guidance about Budapest. Easy access with plenty of food options in the vicinity

Exceptional”

The location is fantastic with the metro outside the front door. The hotel is surrounded by pubs cafes and eateries. The rooms are spotless, the staff very helpful and accommodating . The Wi-Fi is excellent. The only disappointment was the breakfasts. It never varies, the bread was stale and so was the day cake, there is no toaster and no juice, they only serve heavily diluted cordial yuk!

very handy location”

this hotel was located over the road from the main railway station and easy to spot from the front entrance to the station. The bed was very comfortable and there was a large bathroom with great shower over the bath. Reception staff were very helpful and there were two great restaurants attached to the hotel. The breakfast which was included in the price was nice but rather average if compared to other similar hotels.

Good”

We spent 2 nights at this hotel. It was chosen for its location, which is real good, all transportation is near to the hotel. On the site it says they have parking space, but when I asked about it, the receptionist said there is none. Anyway, the receptionist hardly answered to our Good morning/good evening greetings... Breakfast was OK, not too many choices , but for 2 days I won't complain. The room is pretty small, and our very noisy neighbors kept us awake for hours in the night. There was a small balcony, very unkept - I guess there was not cleaned since weeks, maybe months - dust, cigarette butts everywhere. The room and bathroom was clean, minimalist bathroom - only liquid soap in a dispenser, and a curtain around the shower... If anyone asked me about all these when we checked out, I would appreciate it, but the receptionist lady was not interested at all.

convenient for early morning train”

overall i was disappointed with this hotel although it did serve its purpose of being close to the train station as i had an early morning train out of Budapest. The room was small, bed was a bit old and tired (saggy) and the carpet was filthy. The hotel lobby area did however look neat and clean and renovated. Restaurant next door served great wood fire pizza so that was a bonus. This hotel is one where you're paying for convenience. Its not the best choice for Budapest but if you have an early train its literally 30 seconds away from the train station entrance. I however would not stay here again.

Excellent location to explore Budapest”

Exit H from the station literally leads you to the front door of the hotel. Very convenient. Metro 2 & 4 crosses at Keliti station. It is what it takes to explore Budapest. Don't forget to take tram no 22.

Hotel”

The outside of the hotel can go down staircase to metro. Exit H. Location is good. But the bed is not comfortable. Too soft that you sink down. Lend kettle from the reception. But the kettle is dirty. After boiled, many wax things floated. If the bed can change a new one, then it will be great.

I stayed in this hotel as it is convenient for my needs and was very grateful to Julie and Peter for their exceptional help and service before and during my stay that i felt it was my home away from home

Worth what we paid for”

The hotel is generally nice and situated just across the metro/train stations. The room is enough for two people but the bed is not for the ones on the heavier side. The carpet seems to be worn out and I saw some stains on it but I can live with it. The bathroom is good except that the shower gel dispenser was empty. I don't mind it since I have bought my own body wash. The breakfast was good for me. The receptionists were very accommodating when we asked for directions.

Great place to stay to experience Budapest to the full”

Very easy access to Keleti train and tube station, local and sightseeing bus stops. Staff helpful in answering tourist questions. Good restaurant in the hotel.

Close to main train station”

Nice to stay here. Clean hotel and close to main train station. The hotel staff were very friendly. They were very welcome when we came early in the morning and drop our luggage while we were getting around the city.

Book for the location”

The hotel is a good choice locations-wise. It is situated beside two subway lines and is also two-three stations away from another important interchange. There are shops, money changers, and restaurants all over. The amenities are basic: towels; a bath gel which supposedly can be used for hair, body, and hand (didn't bother to try); hair dryer; television; a cabinet and safe. No dental kit. The AC didn't work in my room. I think it was the general setting that it functioned more as a heater. Had to open the window which was fine because it gets cooler at night. The only problem though was that noise from the outside woke me up several times. Staff hospitality is a mixed bag: sometimes friendly, sometimes indifferent. The fire alarm went off during my stay and when it stopped, I called the front desk to ask if things were alright. She didn't even let me finish and just said "Yes, false alarm" then hung up. LOL. All in all: book for location. Average amenities and service.
