More than a great location”
Im travelling around Japan where everybody knows it can be expensive, so I used to stay in guesthouses mostly. Oak Hostel are really close to kintetsu-nara station in a not so busy street but full of coffee shops and some shops, the hostel its very clean and spacious, have many facilities like coffee, tea even small breakfast for a reasonable price. The staff are very nice, perfect English speakers and also some available to speak in another languages like Spanish or French. Dont hesitate to stay here if you want to go around Nara

Nara + travel + work”
Perfect location, close to kintesu-nara station, across the higashimukinakamachi (food street) where you can see 2 master sifus pound and beat the mochi at nakatanido. It is about 25mins walk to nara park and todaiji. Small room, neat and clean. Good hostel service, hashi san is very friendly and attentive. The hostel has spacious hall with a vending machine and free coffee.

Quiet and nice hostel in an amazing position”
The hostel is very close to the station and to the town center, and just about ten minutes from the park. The stuff is ver nice, the beds are comfortable, everything is very clean and it's quiet in the night. They also offer tea and a pastry for breakfast for just 100y, which we happily took advantage of!

Clean and great location”
Very clean and great location. Close to the station and walking distance to every sightseeing spots in Nara. If you are looking for budgeted hostel. I think this is a good place to stay. Btw, there is a Tuna restaurant nearby run by an old couple and it's also highly recommended.

I stayed here almost 2 months, Here is the most good domitory in nara”
i stayed many domitory in nara, but here is the most good place for me first they do cleaning hardly everyday from 10pm~ 1am second bathroom and toilet is enough large and clean third enough huge lounge exist, so i can using that place with free cofee and tee 4th, all step is kindful if i visit nara again, i will stay here more

Centrally located hostel with friendly staff”
Very nice hostel that is located close to everything. Very friendly staff that are eager to help. Very clean like most Japanese hostels. Free coffee is a really nice idea. Lounge area on ground floor has nice music which is a nice change. The only problem in the common area, the stools were so hard and uncomfortable, so not ideal when trying to relax and do some work. As for the accommodation, large cube style bed with curtain, power outlet, USB fixture and light. The thin mattress is on the hard side. When the room is full it’s difficult accessing your luggage with cube beds facing each other. There is not much air circulating in room, so cubes lack oxygen. I found the cleaning ladies to be disrespectful, opening doors to bathroom, leaving the doors open and making noise. Overall though, a very nice hostel.

great way to finish my trip. After travelling and staying in pod rooms with shared bathrooms it was great to stay in a private room with its own bathroom in such a lovely town. Definitely recommend, very clean and comfortable

It was such a nice hostel. Good area to explore Nara and the staff was so kind. Clean facilities, comfortabe bed and so much space to hang out in the common area. I will come back if I visit Nara again :)

Great location! Best hostel in Nara perhaps”
Near to station to arrive from Kyoto or Osaka! 3 minutes walk! Nearby supermarket is good! Deer park is 5 minutes away and important historical temples are easy walking distance 7-15 minutes! Don’t miss Todajij temple ! Too bad they don’t recycle much! Free tea and coffee anytime! Bed was ok and clean !crack a window in dorm for fresh air! Staff is helpful if you ask questions! Modern hostel! Check out rooftop for cool view if Nara! Many shops and restaurants nearby! People in dorms are quiet by 10 pm.

Nice hostel in great location ”
Location is really central - just steps from Nara-Kintetsu line, walking distance to Nara Park, Todaiji Temple and a shopping/dining street around the area. The hostel itself has a nice big lounge to hang out in. Everything is nice and clean. The only thing is you have to put the sheets on yourself and remove them when you check out. That was a first time for me, not sure if this is a common thing for hostels in Japan.

Lovely little hostel”
Really nice place close to everything in Nara. Plesant staff, helped with maps and places to eat and routes to all temples and Nara park. Room was ok , bed was comfortable. Basic room ,but that's all you need in Nara. We managed to visit all the major sites in one day.

Exceptional”
We arrived at around 11:30 asking to leave our luggage, but the host allowed us to check-in. facilities were clean, room was quiet, host was kind and good at english, close to subway station. Drawback is small roomsize. Excellent value for money.

Great hostel”
Excellent location, just a few blocks away from Kintetsu Nara station and Nara Park. The dorm is quite big, and you get a small locker for personal stuff. The pastries they offer in the morning are great and just ¥100 each. They have coffee and tea for free all day. Staff is great they speak several languages and are very helpfull.

good location but small room”
Location is great, quite near for the subway. But room is small, no enough spaces for 2 luggages. Staffs are friendly and speak quit good English. There's free drink in the hall, and cheap delicious bread.
