Good for a night in Male before moving to a different island”

The hotel was OK and very correct for the price. It is not a fancy one, but it is enough to stay if you arrive late to Male. We only spent one night, so is not really responsible to rate the staff. The room was clean and it has AC.

Just for transit”

We stayed at this hotel just for transit as we arrived male city at night and we left the next morning, not much to say about this hotel, no double bed, cleanliness is ok, quite near to the jetty, around 10min walk. The breakfast is so-so, the bread is abit over toasted. The staff could hardly understand English, told us do not know anything about the seaplane schedule but they should have receive the email from our hotel

Average hotel”

I had a good stay here. Most of the reviews that I read here saying many negative experiences from the staffs at this hotel. But through my own personal experience, yes there was one staff that was not really friendly and helpful. The way he acted was like we are not welcome there. But only one staff. The rest of them actually are very nice and accomodating enough. The room also quite spacious, they provide good wifi connection. Location is good as not far from the jetty when you arrived from the airport.

good place for a transit night”

This is ok for just one night, if one needs to catch plane the following morning. It is clean and minimal. But for a longer stay, I would search for something a bit more upscale. But who really stays in Male for long anyways? Breakfast was bare bones: tea, toast and egg.

Convenient but cleanliness was the biggest issue!”

Besides it being convenient and easy to find and what not. The plain, major issue we had was the cleanliness of the room! First look, wow neat. Big toilet, simple bed, dresser, fridge, air conditioner. All that was good till you lie a nights in on the bed! Horrible horrible. My friend and I woke up the next with bed bug and dust mite bites all over our body. First night in Male City and we'd expect at least a bug free bed. Next day when we reached our resort island, we were told this is not the first time their customers have complained about their stay at off day inn. I would not recommend Off Day Inn as a choice to anyone yet on a budget. There are many other budget hotels with better cleanliness waking from a peaceful bite free sleep.

WE has 3 guys stayed over for 2 days nothing much to discover in Male good option for travellers who are transiting to other islands.

Basic hotel in central location”

Only max 10min walk from Airport Ferry Dock to Hotel Hotel is a cheap and therefore not 5star but good for an overnight stay Clean and basic, Shower was working and breakfast was the typical three toast, fried egg, one butter & jam we stayed twice one night and it was very convinient

Good location, relatively good value for money”

Despite of many negative comments on inyrrmet, the hotel and the room we got were quite a good value for money. The room was clean, had 3 windows (though they were darkened). The location is good, close to the airport ferry.

The best thing about this guesthouse is location only, others all lost to marble hotel ”

Pro - great location, close to airport ferry terminal, food stores. Cons -- 1. toilet stinks , 2. Agoda website says check in from 0600hrs, i reach there at 0930+-, then was told i can only check in at 1200hrs. 3. Narrow staircase with no escalator. 4. No blankets. For the same price range, i prefer marble hotel. Only location lose to this offday inn, all others are much better for similar price

for the price we paid - optimal”

We just stayed for one night but for that what we got was it the value we paid. Simple and all you need: AC, fridge with a big bottle of water, TV, Shampoo and the most important: a clean room. We were veryhappy.

Good Location, Poor Lighting and Ventilation”

We stayed there for a night on our way back to India. The location of the hotel is good and close to the artificial beach to spend an evening before taking the flight back home. The airport ferry terminal is also not far.The room was large enough for two persons and the linen was clean. However, the room did not have windows to let in natural light and the lighting provided was very less. Attached restaurant is just OK to have breakfast. Several shops and Pizza outlets near the hotel is an advantage. Just book the room for transit.

good for 1 night staty”

We 2 adults, 2 kids stayed in 1 room which is of 2 single beds stayed 1 night before heading to Ukulhas. The room is god for 1 night stay and the breakfast is simple bread, jam and sausage. about 300 mins to ferry terminal. We took taxi to Villingili ferry terminal to catch our ferry to ukulhas. Overall good for 1 night stay

Average hotel in Male. The location is very near in Ferry boat. It was easy to get taxi. When my partner ordered "Devil's sausage" for breakfast we received same of continental breakfast :0

Rather opt for another”

Comparing with hotels in other Maldivian islands of the same price, Off Day Inn isn't really value for money. Facilities are minimal and good for just a night's stay if you're forced to stay the night. Stayed here as our flight arrived after 6pm and no public ferries nor scheduled speed boats were available. On top of that, was most disappointed by the misleading information by the staff. Checked out on a Friday and double checked with the staff to confirm whether there were any public ferries on Friday. Was assured there was and had a cab called. Firstly, our cab ride was more than what was informed by the staff. Secondly, we got to find out that indeed there were no ferries on Friday. Had to find ourselves back to the main jetty and arranged a separate transport to Maafushi. Wasted half a day because of this, not to mention the exhaustion with the luggage etc. All could have been avoided if the staff had confirmed earlier that there weren't any ferries. Being a tourist hotel, this basic information should have been well informed by staff.

Exceptional”

There are tons of restaurants and a convenience store near the hotel. This is also close to some jetty ports.

They charge extra if paid by credit card.”

They charge extra bank charges if paid by credit card. Though try to book through Agoda...end result is books from booking.com and expensive. My last room shower is broken. Have to ask for water bottles every day. They provide bedsheet instead of bed cover cusion. Breakfast is very good.

He saved me!”

i want to say thank you to the receptionist many times: i wanted an early breakfast but not ready (7.30am) so i stayed on sofa at lobby, and then open restaurant beside, i moved to there, but i forgor wallet there, i had much money inside, all of money for trips to 3 countries, he got it, he chased to me, found me in restaurant, and said "pls check", money still there, if he not return wallet for me, i don't know how i can back to my country, and then i also visited India, i thin if i forget money here in India, no hope to get back...i also visited Maldives when they had problem polictics, but everything really good, peace, nothing dangerous as my friends noticed me!

Cheap but Bad”

Err... Overall it is not up to satisfaction, its very dark at the reception area, i am thinking of whether i should change to another hotel or not when i first reach this inn. There are no lift and guest will have to climb a narrow staircase all the way to your room. There are no tube lights in your room, the only available lighting is just the toilet's light, a LED bulb in front of my bed. No cofee making equipment, no kettle and etc. overall its bad.
