Definitely would recommend!!”
Absolutely love the place ! We picked the traditional room with the view of Mt. Fuji and it was amazing waking up to see the mountain from the window! The Onsen is wonderful too!! There is an option to get your own private Onsen so please as the front desk :)! Location of the hotel is great!! Right next to the lake and there is a lot of places to eat too (might be a bit of a walk but I did not mind ) Staff was very friendly and accommodating! I would definitely come back here again :’)

Very good hot spring, yummy breakfast and shabu shabu!”
The outdoor hot spring is excellent. Although our Japanese bedroom is a bit old, enterance, and some public area is renovated, so new! The syabu syabu dinner and buffet breakfast is out of our expectations, ssuper yummy! (especially if you like meat, shabu shabu is super recommended), it's disappointed we couldn't see fujisan because of cloudy weather, but we had a good stay there.

10/10 ”
The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We wanted a more traditional feel and this location delivered. We were able to book a private onsen and it was a great experience. (Especially after hiking Mt Fuji.) In the morning when we were checking out one of the young men helped us with our luggage out to our vehicle. 10/10 would recommend this hotel.

Beautiful place to stay ”
We loved our stay at Ooike. We stayed in a traditional Japanese room with view of Mount Fuji. The hotel had lots of great facilities and we loved the option of a private onsen.

Exceptional”
I won’t be the person that downgrades a place because of tricky communication - I’m in a country that doesn’t have English as a foreign language. So. Despite the difficulty in communicating the staff went above and beyond to help me during my stay. They arranged for a masseuse to my room, ordered me food from a delicious takeaway and provided me with an amazing room replete with a stunning view of Mt. Fuji. Amazingly clean and very modern decor. Large downstairs lounge space with a very good play room for kids. The onsen (male) was a lovey rock pool with a hot spring jacuzzi looking at a small Sakura tree and water wheel. This place is however expensive - and to get this level of experience you will have to pay for it. This place is used by a lot of locals (which to my traveller brain) is always a good sign of quality. Definitely recommend if you can afford it - not however a budget option, but for one night consider treating yourself!

Good Onsen hotel”
They have two public onsen with not many ppl so you feel a lot of privacy, personally I like the one on 1st floor better, bigger space with nature and outdoor onsen. I went there around 9pm and there was only 1 person there before me.

A Cosy Stay Close to Fuji”
Though my friend and I only stayed at Ooike Hotel for one night, we had such a lovely time here! The staff were friendly and accommodating, and our room had a nice homely feel to it. The highlights of our stay were definitely the two onsens - one with a view of Mount Fuji. A relaxing onsen combined with a Fuji view is a quintessential experience in Japan that I'd recommend to anyone! One thing to note is that the hotel is definitely a taxi ride away from the heart of town. My friend and I foolishly thought we could walk there - from the train station, with our suitcases, in midwinter - and we were so wrong. It's a short distance, but there are too many hilly streets and winding alleys to make it an easy walk. But I promise that the taxi fare will be well worth it for this charming hotel.

Well furnished and well maintained hotel w good view of Mt Fuji”
Amazing view of mt Fuji from our room tub! The hotel was really thoughtful and kept our tub hot with the water running when we entered the room. The pick up from kawaguchiko station was smooth. The staffs at the tourist information counter at kawaguchiko station will phone the hotel for us and the transport pick up is just a 5 mins wait and less than a 5 mins drive to the hotel. The meals offered by the hotel comes in many cute looking small plates, traditional jap food, mostly sashimi jap style. It was quite a spread! We enjoyed our experience there and would definitely recommend it too!

Wonderful Stay”
First of all, the tatami room. The tatami room was exceptional. The room was fairly spacious, with separate bathroom (with bathtub) and toilet, 2 futons, a dining table and a small tea table with a window view of Mount Fuji. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk to the beautiful lake, where you can see Mount Fuji as well. From there you can take a sightseeing bus to Saiko Lake and Aokigahara. The hotel also has a drop off service to Kawaguchiko station (reservation can be made at front desk). The Japanese breakfast was a new experience for us. The private Ryokan was also a new experience for us (3,000 yen per 50 minutes). Will definitely come back for the extraordinary experience and friendly staffs!

Great onsen and rooms, friendly staff”
Hotel has a nice outdoor onsen and a onsen on the 5th floor with a view of mt fuji that is included with your stay. Our room was very nice with tatami mats and sliding doors, and it had a view of mt fuji (3rd floor). The staff are very friendly and spoke decent english. The hotel is a 2 minute walk away from the sightseeing bus stop which is nice, but getting to kawaguchiko station is a bit of a walk (15-20 min). Overall it was very nice hotel despite the building looking a bit old from the outside
