Great new hotel with great team”
Our initial 4 nights' stay at this wonderful hotel was extended to a week as we enjoyed the location,service and the value that the hotel offers. I would only repeat what I wrote in a previous review below. Great location opposite Tanjong Pagar MRT making commuting to all parts of Singapore easy and inexpensive. Food outlets abound behind the hotel varying from cheap food courts offering numerous varieties of great food to coffee shops, wine bars and specialised restaurants in the historical Tanjong Pagar road,Duxton & Craig streets precincts. Maxwell food court is just a stroll away with the famous "Buddha Tooth Relic Temple & Museum just opposite.The Orchid Hotel has generous sized rooms and is clean and well serviced by friendly staff. All requests were handled timely and without fuss. We have been very happy staying at this hotel and will definitely return next time we are in Singapore

we come from indonesia. that's my great new year holiday. we enjoyed singapore and stayed at orchid hotel. perfect choice. we know about orchid hotel from agoda. thanks agoda. the hotel location is very strategic, easy to go anywhere we want b'cos near mrt station, also near food court, and chinatown. comfort and big enough room, clean, kind people, good enough breakfast, and reasonable price. next time, if we go holiday to singapore again, we will stay at orchid hotel. see you.

good value at great location”
Had a great stay in Singapore thanks to the central and convenient location of the Orchid hotel. MRT is just a few steps away, Chinatown and Financial District are also just around the corner in walking distance. Since breakfast was not included in our room rate, we didn't try the hotel's restaurant which we found looked not very inviting, though. It didn't matter anyway, because there are a couple of food courts (including Maxwell Food Centre) and many restaurants and bars just nearby. For other needs, the supermarket just across the street is convenient and nearby, too. The room is great, clean, very spacious, quiet and provides a nice view of the nearby skyline. Nice comfortable bed, too! Laundry service appeared somewhat overpriced, so we did not make use of it. Staff at the front desk are friendly, helpful, and efficient. All in all, the Orchid Hotel provides great value for money. We'll be back!

Good value with good location”
i stayed orchid hotel with my family (one wife and 3 years daughter). hotel is quite a new, room is clean and good point is that they have two beds (one queen & single) with enough spaces. we stayed internet promo, really dificult to find other hotels in singapore with such price location of the hotel is really good, just in front of tanjong paga mrt station, even i can walk to my head office in raffles place. they have japanese restaurant & 7 eleven outside downstairs, and local super market "fair price" open 24 hours nearby. one unsatified point is we stayed on 19th floor and wifi connection was not always stable...

Location to explore ”
the orchid hotel is one of the newer hotels in the cbd area. (its right next to the amara hotel). i lived in the area for the last two years and watched it being built. its a good value larger sized mid range hotel. the rooms are a good size. i chose a deluxe which meant i had an double and a single in my room. there is the usual tv and a nice shower based bathroom. its almost like a serviced apartment, in its functional approach. the key advantage to the orchid is its location. in the first floor (ground floor in singapore) there is tonkatsu ramen which has them queuing round the block for lunch and dinner (its very tasty!) nearby there is a great hawker stall above the wet market, and you are very near maxwells (famous food court) and the delights of duxton hill, china town. and for the adventurous you are 5 mins walk to the tanjong pagar mrt, which is an easy route into the main shopping areas. i lived in the area for two years, and now when i go back to singapore this will be the place i stay.

Great hotel with big, clean and modern rooms”
We had a pleasant stay and experience in Orchid Hotel and it was the first family trip abroad. All our requests have been granted Although the front desk staff rarely smile and look strict, they are professional to deal with. The concierge is very helpful and cheerful. The hotel is located in a business district but there are plazas and malls to visit as well as restaurants and scenic spots(temple) near the hotel. MRT is so near likewise. The location is good because it is near Manila Bay Sands, Sentosa and the Singapore flyer compared to the shopping district of Orchard. I've already recommended this hotel to my friends and the hotel is just right.

This was my 2nd time to Orchid Hotel. My 1st trip to Orchid Hotel left me a very good impression especially the executive corner lot room. I had fall in love with the double windows and the spacious room that I had! So I was decided to come again on my 2nd visit, where I have to stay for 7 nights long! It's my preference to stay like my home with my favourite corner view at 20th floor! Would appreciate the friendliness of the staff, they served me on my needs and they welcomed me home with their smile. Love to be with this hotel again and again in Singapore! I will be back for sure :)

That was the frist time for me to live in Orchid Hotle. It made me feel comfortable by welcoming smile from hotel reservationists. They had given me the information I asked in friendly,and knowledgeable manner. In addition,I appreciated its security including key card accessing to the hotel room and security plan for emergency events. In sum,Orchid Hotel is a very good hotel in Singapore with appropiated price. I've recommeded.

Fantastic hotel with good services”
i had a pleasent stay in orchid hotel. i have browse through many hotels in singapore before choosing this hotel and i believe i have made the right choice. the entrance may not be grand but everything else is fantastic. the deluxe room is considered big by singapore standards. the amnenities are new and well maintained. the hotel is only around 8 months old and very well maintained. the breakfast is good for asians taste and the choices available are adequate but not a lot. the staffs provide excellent services and i will definitely stay here again next time around

Nice newer hotel in a great location”
this is my second stay at orchid hotel. the staff is friendly and helpful, a high level of service. if you can, request a room at the end of the corridor that faces toward the shophouses on tanjong pagar road toward orchard. but actually, the views are great in any direction except toward the direction of amara hotel which is blocked by new construction. the rooms are large with big windows, full amenities, and a nice bathroom. room was spotlessly clean. you get a lot of hotel for the money here, especially with an agoda booking. no need to get the breakfast option because there are many food choices in the area. maxwell food centre is nearby and tanjong pagar market is across the street. tanjong pagar mrt station is steps away, another reason to recommend this hotel. i love orchid hotel and i'll be back for sure!

Newer Hotel, clean, good sized rooms near food.”
Orchid Hotel is a fine hotel close to the center of Singapore and near Chinatown. There are many bars and restaurants in the neighborhood fit for any budget, and all that I tried serve good food. Rooms at Orchid are decent sized and clean, and the staff are is more than helpful. 2nd Time staying at this hotel, and will definitely stay again in the future when visiting Singapore. Too many places to eat within a 3 minute walk in any direction from the entrance to the hotel.

bsolutely excellent - in every respect”
From our initial Reception right through to our departure we could not have asked for better Service. The Desk Staff were both polite & Friendly. The Porter was exceptional - Nothing was a "trouble" to him & anything that we asked for was delivered with promptness & a courteous "Is there anything else, Sir" ?. The food service was good but was certainly not geared to Australian palates - No Cereals, No Yoghurt or similar Australian style food, but there was fresh fruit, toast, eggs, bacon, sausages & good quality (real) Coffee. The room was both large & well appointed. Good quality bed & bathroom linen. The carpet was immaculately clean & the Housekeeping changed everything for "clean", every day. Directions were provided to find locations that we did not already know & there was an air of being "Helpful" from every member of staff. We would most definitely stay there again & certainly recommend it to any of our Friends going to Singapore. I have stayed at in at least 20 different Hotels in Singapore over a number of years & the Orchid is about as good as any other that I have stayed at.

No regret if you select Orchid Hotel, Singapore”
We are a family with 5 members , we booked 2 rooms and requested a connecting rooms and the request was met. Before making the booking process,I studied many comments of different Singapore Hotels. We finally selected Orchid Hotel with refernce to the opinions and compare the hotel rate and it’s rating (4 stars @agoda). Location is very important factor for us, and it is really easy and fast to travel from the hotel to main attactions such as China Town, Orchard , Waterfront, Marina Bay ,Sentosa. You may find convinient store,7 11, supermarket, restaurants easily and actually some restautants just located at gound floor of hotel. Although Lobby is not fashionable, interior design of hotel room is traditional design, space is ok, big bath room and good shower & air condition. You may consider this hotel if location / rate / space are your factors to consider.

Solid 4-Star Hotel”
My first stay at the Orchid Hotel was very pleasant. The comfort of the room is a highlight - the bed is very comfortable, the aircon is excellent and I particularly appreciated the hot shower. The swimming pool on the 3rd floor is enormous, it's clean and very relaxing in the evening. During the day the pool area is in full sun, with no shaded areas. The staff were friendly and helpful. Just across the road is Tanjong Pagar Plaza where you'll find a supermarket and a number of other handy shops. My only suggestion for improvement would be to attack the mold between the tiles in the bathroom. Otherwise, the Orchid Hotel is great value for money and good base for a few days business in Singapore.

GREAT HOTEL, CENTRAL LOCATION”
Great hotel in very central location. Close to the metro across the road, within walking distance of Chinatown and food outlets. Very clean, spacious rooms. Lovely shower/bathroom with modern facilities. Tea, coffee making facilities in the room, bottled mineral water and newspapers supplied daily. Unfortunately they sometimes foget to deliver the newspapers. Ironing board and iron, safe and good spacious wardrobes to hang clothes with built in drawers. Seating area with table and chairs in de luxe room. Room was nicely decorated with views of the city. Friendly, helpful staff. Very nice, clean swimming pool on the 3rd floor and sauna. very often by guests overlooked by restaurant. Singapore hotels are generally expensive but this hotel was good value for money and is relatively new. Not to be confused with the Orchard Hotel which is a 5 star hotel. If you are taking a cab from the airport to the hotel, make sure that the taxi driver understands “Orchid Hotel” as were were taken to the wrong hotel. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Singapore.

Good location with spacious rooms ”
The Orchid Hotel is a minute walk to the Tanjong Pagar station. It has a very nice pool, a gym & a business center. The hotel staff is accommodating. The standard size of the room is one of the biggest in Singapore and it has in-room wifi. The neighborhood surrounding the hotel is quiet and there is a mall nearby. Previous reviews were much of the same.

Upon arriving from a 27 hour travel to arrive in Singapore at 2:30AM, the room door lock did not work. We were promptly moved to a new room. The room was clean, but quite hot but cooled quickly with the A/C. The staff a the Orchid Hotel are very friendly and helpful. Good customer service makes all the difference and The Orchid Hotel does a fine job. I was there a whole week and everyday I was served well, no matter what time of day it was. Also, there is an MRT station right across the street and that made getting around the city very easy. It can stand to be updated, but still a nice hotel.

Great hotel, friendly helpful staff”
We loved our stay at the Orchid Hotel. The room was fabulous, very nicely presented and the service was fabulous. The pool was also great and we would definitely stay again. The only draw back is that the staff dont understand english very well and it took two phone calls to get a corkscrew up to our room to open a bottle of wine. This hotel is in the chinatown distirct and is a litle out of the CBD but the MRt is nearby and is a fabulous way to get around.
