Orinda Hotel...Great beach, Great staff!”
The Orinda is nestled between a private house and a great restaurant on Diniwid beach on the island of Boracay. While the rooms are small and without the fancy trappings of more upscale hotels, the rates, location and service are unbeatable! Diniwid beach is much quieter and less crowded than White's beach but is also an easy trike ride, bicycle ride or walk along the beach to the attractions in town. The manager and staff are VERY helpful and friendly. We were there for 16 days and will definitely be going back!

Value for money hotel on less crowded beach”
first of all, the room booking comes with land transfers from airport to the hotel and daily breakfast for 2. the land transfer made the trip convenient and comfortable. the breakfast was filling enough. the best part of it is it's served facing the beach. location: orinda is located in diniwid beach. from boracay port, it's around 30 minutes away. there are only a couple of hotels in this beach and it's not summer when we went, so there are only a couple of people in the beach. it's more laid back compared to white beach, but with the same white sandy beach and clear water. from the hotel, you can take a walk to white beach or take the hotel's shuttle(it's free when you go on one of their schedules). room: we stayed at a de luxe room with 2 single beds. the room's only big enough for the beds, a night table and a small tv. the cons first: there's no option for a double bed. if you're tall and big, this room might feel small for you. it was be a little uncomfortable for me passing by some parts of the room because of the slanting ceiling(like in an attic). the pros: the room and bathroom are clean enough for someone who's a little obsessive about cleanliness. there's towel, soap and shampoo. staff: my first encounter with the staff was when i scheduled our transfer. i just sent an sms and said i booked through agoda and they confirmed that someone from a third-party transportation company will meet us at the airport. upon arriving at boracay port, the hotel's van was already waiting. it was also a breeze checking in. i gave them agoda's voucher, and they asked me to register. before showing us to our room, the front desk officer gave the schedule for shuttle service to station 2 (which is 5x a day) and the driver's cellphone number, the password to the wifi and the time breakfast is served. i felt like they know how to handle their customers. they're already offering you what you may need, even if it's just as simple as information. it was a great stay!

a peaceful place to stay”
I have chosen this hotel because it is near to the quiet diniwid beach, and my choice turned out to be right. You can experience more peaceful and comfortable Boracay than at the hotels around white beach. Very peaceful and enjoyable, with the real Philippino people and kids. Diniwid beach is a real place to go, and Orinda is a place to stay.

Basic rooms but with the amenities that count”
First of all, if you've checked out the Orinda website, let me just note that the resort isn't as pretty as it looks in the photos. It's more like someone's vacation beach house, instead of an actual hotel or resort. Having said that, I would recommend this hotel simply because it provides everything I need -- shuttle, Wifi, breakfast, a/c, hot & cold shower, and a beachfront of its own. Orinda is far from Station 2, the main beach, but I like that it means there are no noisy teens posing for photos every 5 seconds. We'll most likely stay here again the next time we come to Boracay.

Good value for money”
Orinda Boracay is good value for money. Rooms are simple but comfortable and clean. Staff really helpful. Location on one of the nicest beach coves on the Island. An easy 15min walk to downtown along the beach. A bit of a detour if going by car / bus.

A humble place in a perfect location”
The place was located a an ideal secluded part of Boracay, with the beach at ur doorstep. (It wasn't in Station 1 of the Island though, It was a bit beyond that, at Diniwind beach). But it had an amazing restaurant next-door, that provided delicious food and drinks, as well as happy hour options! The hotel was a approx. 30 mins walk from the heart of Boracay (Station 2) but the walk never was an issue since it's just an amazing walk by the gorgeous sea shore! How can u conplain about that! :-) True there are many nicer places to stay in Boracay, but you'll have to pay significantly more. If u're after a 2-star hotel, this is just perfect! (It's almost like a hostal: basic accommodation, on-suit, with the nicest and really helpful friendly staff. If I can pay more, I will stay in a slightly better quality place, but if u're going to Boracay for the same reason I went this first time: to spend most of my time at the beach and scuba diving! And very little time in the room... Then this is definitely the place for you!!

Orinda Hotel”
Good Budget Hotel for vacation seekers in Boracay, they have a friendly staff, you just need to request to have your room cleaned everyday but thats ok. Breakfast is served in the morning upon waking up and going to their cafe, or beachfront seats. The resort is far from station's 1,2, and 3. But they have a free shuttle service to and from the resort, they will give you the drivers mobile phone number and you can text or call him if you want to be picked up from the places in Boracay

Orinda Beach Resort Boracay Philippines”
White beach is a 20 minutes walk from Orinda Beach Resort. The D'Mall is a 100 peso tricycle ride from Orinda. Island hopping can be negotiated at a lowest price of P 1,500 for a small boat 1 to 5 person that includes snorkling but you have to pay a P20.00 snorkling fee. You have to pay a P 200.00/person to enter Crystal Cove. The Glass Bottom boat is a P550.00 per person if you like to see the Corals and Fish without snorkling. From Caticlan airport to the boat jetty you pay P50/person for environmental fee, P50/person for terminal fee and P25/person for the boat.

Perfect for honeymoon”
Orinda hotel is quite comfortable and clean, his staff is friendly, breakfast good. Unfortunately the location is quite far from the center of the crowd, luckily the hotel has a hotel shuttle to D'Mall return and has its own beach, perfect for a honeymoon

Orinda Boracay Hotel in Diniwid”
The staff at this hotel are great! But, the pictures on this website make the hotel appear to be better than it is. In other words, you get what you pay for. This is one of the lower priced hotels. The hotel is located in Diniwid, which is a 10-15 minute drive from the party seen of boracay, so I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you are going to party. Sure, you could walk to station 1, but it is extremely difficult at night since there are no lights to navigate the rocky beach at night. If you are vacationing for quiet time and seclusion than it is perfect. Lastly, I am 5 feet 11 inches tall and I found that I had to duck my head to walk around the beds of my room because the ceiling curved downward over edge of the bed. I checked out the next morning and spent the duration of my trip at the hotel that I stayed at on my first visit. Unfortunately, I was unable to get reimbursed from Orinda for unused nights per hotel policy. I recommend that if you traveling thousands of miles to vacation hear than there are plenty of hotels to choose from that may cost a little more. I should have paid attention to the location of the hotel when booking.

Basic hotel on the beachfront ”
If you are on a tight budget and want somewhere right on the beach, then Orinda fits the bill. The rooms are very basic and kind of worn out, but they are clean, with aircon and hot water. Orinda is located on Diniwid Beach, which is a short walk around the headland to White Beach, but a rather long tricycle ride otherwise. This proved an issue for me (solo female traveller) at night time getting back to the hotel. The roads leading back to the hotel are very dark, so you must be very brave to catch a tricycle back by yourself. If you want to catch the shuttle, keep your eyes peeled as the golf cart is not very well signposted as I didn't see the last shuttle arrive and had to catch a tricycle back by myself. The van I was looking out for was in fact broken and the driver said he didn't get my text saying that I would be waiting for him. So owners - please get a better sign that people that can actually read at night!

Good Hotel with greate location”
boracay is very good holiday destination for anybody, including family with kids. there are a lot of water sport activities and other attractions. food is cheap and lots of different cusines. wter is always warm even when it is rining. probably one of the best places for holidays in philippines.

Had a great stay at Orinda.Nice clean room and bathroom. View is perfect. Located in diniwid beach, a short walk to station 1. The hotel has a shuttle going to d'mall. I recommend this to all budget travellers, rate includes pick-up and drop-off to port.

our group consists of nine (9) adults and two (2) children. overall we are satisfied with our stay in orinda resorts. we stayed 3D2N and we are pleased with the preparation and service of our breakfast along the seashore. it was so relaxing and very nice ambiance. we chose to buy raw fish & squids and let orinda's cook prepare it for us and it was tasty. the staff are very friendly. on the other hand, due to some old appliance, the aircon in our room is quite noisy. maybe the should have a regular maintenance of their machines so that we'll have a peaceful overnight.

we had a lovely vacation at the Orinda, the location is excellent, a quiet and relatively secluded beach, ideal for families (not too many people) and away from the noise and hassle of long beach. the staff was very helpfull and catered to all our needs. the hotel is old and a little run down so if you are expecting luxurious amenities this is not the place, however everything is clean and convinient. Food options are so so, its better to eat at other places on the beach.

First visit”
This was our first visit but it will not be our last. The hotel has three types of rooms. The room we stayed in was very clean and had pleanty of room. It had a TV, table, fridge, aircon, shower and toilet. The staff were always very helpful. It has its own beach which is great no fighting for sun beds. You can just walk round the coast to White beach if you want it only takes about 10 mins to get to the first part 15 mins to get to main part, but hotel does a free shuttle service. At white beach you have a choice of places to eat shops bars ect. We will stay at this hotel on our next visit.

Staying in Orinda Hotel is pleasant if you're after quiet relaxation and privacy. If you're looking for variety, activities and nightlife, it's better to stay in the resorts along White Beach. The accommodations at Orinda are basic. Amenities in the hotel are limited. Housekeeping is upon request and based on the availability of the staff. What's good about this small hotel is the personal service of the staff who are willing to accommodate your requests for free shuttle to White Beach or the market.
