Quiet and relaxed isolation”
This hotel was wonderful. The rooms are large and well equipped, with comfy beds and a fantastic outdoor hotspring. Although the rooms are attached it felt like staying in a private cabin. The meals are a wonderful mix of buffet and course menu, with certain items coming to your table through the meal; such as amazingly fresh and tasty horse sashimi. The dinner is focused around a hot pot, sukiyaki, or BBQ. The buffet includes a wide range of side dishes, soups, rice, and dessert to round out your meal to your liking. Breakfast is well balanced and not too heavy, while dinner is an absolute feast we found difficult to finish. I would recommend a stay here if you plan to stay nearby the hotel, or spend your time mainly inside the premises. Absolutely worth every penny and you will feel completely rejuvenated after your stay.

Chalet in the woods with excellent hospitality”
The chalet is located in a remote suburb area which needs to be reached by driving. It is surrounded by the woods and in a quiet area. Staying at the chalet with an exclusive hot spring area, there are indoor and outdoor hot springs provided and the scenery outside is wonderful. Service are great with excellent variety of food provided in the meals with a semi-buffet style. Beds are comfortable and chalet is well-equipped. An enjoyable stay to appreciate the nature!

This place is quiet and out in the woods, a very different experience from the usual hotel stay. The staff are helpful and attentive. The dinner and breakfast provided was really good so despite the higher price point do consider that it includes the meals here.

Each room is attached with a hot bath and really enjoy it. Very clean and comfortable. However the ryokan is secluded and nothing within the walking distance. Nearest convenience store is 10 mins drive away. It is advisable to pre-book their dinner and breakfast for convenience.

Best onsen experience ”
Besides the inconvenience of transportation, I cannot point out another downside of this hotel. The room is big and neat. There’re 2 hot bath tubs in the room, one indoor and one outdoor, and hot water keeps flowing so I can jump in whenever I want. Their food is superb too, though choices are limited, but quality is so high even comparable to those Michelle rated restaurants. I really love this place, next time I visit Kyushu I’ll put this hotel on the top of my list.

Warmth, cozy and away from the crowd”
If i were to travel to Kurosawa again, i would definitely come back to Hanare. Recommend to those who drives… Loved the breakfast and dinner. The horse sashimi caught us by surprise ! Too bad we didn't get to enjoy its public bath, but we managed to have a quick glance, good enough for a small scale accommodation. The room was well equipped, we enjoyed our indoor and outdoor hot bath. Last but not least, they have great friendly staff there, we felt so welcomed.

The location is not good if you do not have car”
The location is not good if you do not have car, you will feel lost when you took of the highway bus because you got off next to the highway, there are no public transports and shuttle bus to get there.... at last, we seek help from traveler center and got a taxi! The osen is good! And the food is good in there!

Very far, little food and hot spring burning hot”
The room is small but ok. The public hot spring is small and very hot. It opens until 9pm only. I think they don't encourage people to onsen there. Food portion is small.
