Exceptional!”

Paper Plane hostel provided exceptional service. While arrival, Andrew showed me my room and he actually walked me to a restaurant to get a good meal! Later on, he introduced me and few other travelers to places to visit and transportation to efficiently get to those places. Moreover, he took the time of his day off to take me and two guys from France to see Chinatown to get breakfast and brought us to a train station where we could catch a train directly to Batu Caves. The hostel offered shared bathroom and showers that were clean and always available when needed. There was a locker that was big enough to fit my carry-on suitcase and I could borrow a lock for it from the front desk. Everything was run smooth at this hostel. I will definitely stay here again if I travel to Kuala Lumpur, by my self or even with friends.

Best hostel in SE Asia”

The Paper Plane Hostel has been the best hostel I have stayed at in SE Asia. It is clean, spacious and has all the facilities you will need. It is only a few minutes walk from the lively Bukit Bintang area and 5 minutes walk to the metro. The staff are amazing and friendly.....they were very helpful and polite throughout my stay which turned out to be for 6 days. The hostel has a very peaceful and quiet atmosphere, but also allows you to meet and chat to other people in a relaxed environment without a crazy party setting. I couldn't recommend this hostel enough..... superb!

“New, Chick, Value for Money and Very Homey””

I am very glad I found this place online coz I heard they opened only last quarter last year. I find it really posh. Good job for transforming an old two-storey link house (row house) into a modern interiored, artsy, spotless hostel it is now. White walls a perfect choice so as give a more spacious and clean feel. The drawings on walls indeed very artistic. The wooden floor at the 2nd floor where I stayed I love walking barefoot on. Room locks including that of of the hostel maim entrance door are high tech, airconditioning very efficient and toilets always kept clean. I stayed for three night with first two nights in a private bunk room with only 1 bunk bed and high ceiling and the last night in a twin room with queen size bed. I loved my first room and the 2nd one indeed a celebration. The brick wall accent is really pleasant to the eyes. The rooms were always smelling nice and fresh. Wifi superb on both ground, 2nd and 3rs floors. The rooftop open space I love too. I remember staying there often just relaxing and enjoying the skyline of KL. Paper Plane Hostel is right behind Swiss Garden Hotel and Swiss Garden Residences so it is easy to find, not too far off the main street but still comfortable enough away from the busy and noisy main street. I was welcomed by one of the business owners (Kenny) on the eve of Chinese New Year and I was surprised at how warm Kenny is. He is friendly and natural. I felt home instantly after stepping inside the hostel. I will keep coming back here whenever in KL.

The most comportable and friendly hostel you can find in KL”

I had to write review because I felt like I paid too little for what they provided me. firstly, they have clean space, has all the amenities you need (unlike some hostels without hair driers or proper lockers) BUT the most important reason to stay at Paper Plane Hostel is their staffs and manager!! They were kind, friendly, helpful and flexible. I've got so much helps during my stay and I saved tons of time with their help during my stay there. I had no expectation on quality of hostel because of the price I paid but i was surprised and definitely going to stay there again for my next KL journey. P.S. they have crazy 3 floored bed in their dormitory room and you should try it if you arent afraid of height.

Best Hostel Ever ”

Paper Plane is a very artsy hostel. More importantly the hosts are very friendly. In fact they gave me a map and recommended places to visit. Andrew was kind enough to explain to me how to get to places, Rafi waited for me at 3am so I could check-in and Mica, the hostel manager drive and drop me off at one of the shopping areas in Bukit Bintang. Thank you guys!!!! The hostel is very clean, very comftable beds and it's just 5-mim walking distance to Hang Tua train station.

I was stay 2 nights but the hostel not full occupied,. Location is nearby bukit bingtang, need to walk 5 min. Bed was good, shower good, clean,, but when i was arrive there, im a bit shock when see the bunk bed have 3 bed (3 level). I recommend only sleep at lower or middle bed, coz the upper bed is very high. The hostel provide free snacks and coffee or tea in the morning. Overall, that was amazing stay at paper plane hostel

The Best Hostel!!! ”

My second time staying there. The people that work there are the best! So friendly and helpful. Mika is awesome! She took me to a couple local places to eat. Also brought local snacks for me to try. Delicious! Can’t find any food like this at the tourist places. I wouldn’t have experienced any of this if it wasn’t for her. Thanks you sooo much!!! Definitely the best hostel I’ve stayed at and I’ve been traveling for more than 5 months. Great location. Clean. Beds are comfortable. Paper Plane Hostel has spoiled me. No other hostel can compete. Especially with their service. I will definitely come back again. The only hostel I will stay at in KL :)

The place to go to feel like home (but actually better than home!!)”

I had he most wonderful time at Paper Planes. The hostel just seem brand new, the beds are soo comfy, and everything is amazingly clean! It is located sooooo close to all the best places to eat/party/shop/visit and YET it’s in a very quiet area, like a small paradise hanging above crazy KL. The staff is amazingly nice and helpful but not in a « staff » way, really more in a family way, being really preoccupied by each’s gets well being and enjoyment. People who stay here are generally solo travelers so yes it’s not a party hostel but you can still meet very nice people and grab a drink on the wonderful outdoor or indoor common area. Thank you Paper Plane for having been the most amazing place of my 2 months trip in Asia !

One of the best guesthouse in KL, the amenities are spotless clean (every two hours the all the common areas are cleaned). The rooms are comfortable, cosy and well equipped. The staff are nicest ever, smiling and helpful. The location is very central : near Bukit Bintang (the subway station is only a few minutes away by walk) and close to several dining spots. We only stayed there for two days, but we will definitely stay there if we are back to Kuala Lumpur. I strongly recommend this place :)

THE BEST HOSTEL EVER STAYED!!”

Honestly we HIGHLY RECOMMEND people to book with paper plane. Everything was perfect, very clean and the staffs was amazing. We booked the private room, and it was a good size, smelled really good, amazing BED they give us two soft pillows. They had a upstairs bathroom and downstairs, the upstairs bathroom they had two toilet and 1 shower, it honestly didn't bother me because every 2 hour the cleaning staff cleans the bathroom and do a check up. Which that was awesome i've never been to a hostel that has a strict cleaning policy. The hostel staff even do your laundry for you it cost 10-15+ MRY depends how much you have. It's walkable to the shopping area and the night market. OVERALL I LOVE THIS HOSTEL SO MUCH!! WE WILL COME BACK HERE AGAIN!!

One of the best choices”

Paper Plane Hostel has been one of the best hostels I've stayed in. The place is well-maintained, very clean, the staff (including the housekeeping ladies) are very warm and accommodating. The retrofitted interior alongside the vicinity also gives a piece of KL's history if you have a keen eye. The location is also great. It's near restaurants, a café, and a few minutes walk to Chinatown. It's been a year since I was here but I still think about it.

Comfortable Hostel/Amazing staff !”

The only problem I had with this hostel was taxi drivers can not find it! The location is convenient and within walking distance to many attractions but it was an absolute nightmare getting there and I was ripped off by dodgy drivers on a few occasions. If you stay here I recommend quoting "Swiss garden" hotel to your driver and walking from there. Of course this can't be helped by the hostel. I loved my room, it was small but comfy bed and all the amenities you need. Staff were wonderfully helpful. Great cafe (VCR) around the corner does great breakfast. Good wifi. Complimentary water. No complaints. Thanks paper plane :)

Great services from the first I came till checked out. Very clean hostel with very good facilities. Comfy beds and refill water tank is available. I'm impressed how the workers there do their job, they clean everything! The receptionist Aisye are very kind, helpful and always smile. They do their own thing but always handy if you need any help, don't be shy to ask them anything! One of the staff (I forgot her name but I saw her cycled and we bumped into while I was at KLCC) are very well-known about the attractions and public transport around Kuala Lumpur. Perfect!”

We loved staying at Paper Plane. We stayed in a private double room with a shared bathroom. overall atmosphere is modern, well laid out and decorated. The shared facilities are maintained and cleaned throughout the day. They seriously think of everything... water bottles, slippers, plug converters... we did not want for anything while staying here. It is very comfortable and homey. We stayed originally for 2 nights but re-booked when we returned to KL later that week. There is a 24hr eatery a few doors down, great cafe, awesome noodles behind the alley, close to the train station, local bus station and the famous night street food market. The staff is incredible... super friendly with plenty of spot on suggestions for food and activities. They also offer luggage storage for a reasonable price per day and it was overall such a wonderful experience. Although the room was a bit small but again, the comfort factor out weighed it for us..

11/10 stars - absolutey perfect! ”

One of the best hostels we ever stayed and by far the cleanest we saw in 6 months traveling in Asia. Very comfy beds, unbelievable friendly hosts and a good chill out area in front to sit down in the evening (and to play with cute baby cats at the moment which was an extra bonus!!!) We came back for a second stay and would always come back if we were stopping in Kuala Lumpur. It’s very good located, which is always a good thing in big cities. Also they had a very good city map where you could find good restaurants, ATMs and supermarkets. Even while it looks so simple and clean it felt very warm and welcoming! Would absolutely recommend! :-) And thanks again to the team, you’re all making a perfect job!

Convenient modern and value for money”

Paper plane hostel is well located and not too expensive. We never used a transport while visiting KL. Our room was clean as well as the facilities ! The wifi as well very good. The only con would be maybe that the room was a bit small for 2 people with big backpacks. But we were most of the time outside so it didnt bothered so much.

From Paper Plane to paradise”

It's the just the best hostel ever. They thought about everything. You'll feel more than home staying there. Everything is just great. Good place, good hosts, good vibes. The staff is amazing. The manager Minka is just the best and most devoted employee I've ever seen. And the receptionist Salena is soooo friendly. I just couldn't stop speaking with her. Paper Plane is like a real family. I'm so glad I discovered the place. Don't miss it!!!!!!!
