Best & excellent staffs, Beautiful location, I will not stay at any other hotels in Inle even if they pay me to stay. Paradise Inle resort is the only hotel that meet all my requirements to enjoy Inle”

I stayed at Paradise Inle Resort in 2014 for 3 nights. I fell in love with this little hotel built in Traditional way on the water and booked again to stay longer this time. It never fail to make us fall in love with this hotel more. This fantastic is surrounded by beautiful breath taking scenery of the Inle lake and its mountains. The individual huts built for guests are very beautiful traditional design and it moves and sway gently when waves came to lake shore and move the water underneath. All rooms are equipped with clean bed, bath room and toilet, all necessary furnitures and own private balcony to enjoy the view of the lake and mountains. Staffs are extremely friendly and attentive. I have read some guests moan about minor insignificant details. In my opinion those who moan about this hotel are generally unhappy moanee who has no positive outlook and selfish self centre individuals who only know to indulge themselves without care for other especially the locals who are trying their best to show hospitality. For us, we will never go to any hotels in Inle except Paradise Resort which lives up to its name.

Great experience at Inle Lake”

Fantastic location, big room and good value

My friends and I stayed at Paradise Inle Resort for 2 nights in late December. The weather there was very cold compared to other cities in Myanmar. The hotel has great location on the lake with fantastic view and ambience at dawn and dusk. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel were good for the price. Overall service met our needs. Recommended.

what a great hotel”

location

from research on the net, i already knew being in inle lake was going to be amazing. but it really takes you being there before you recognise how beautiful things are in the lake. it is even more exceptionally beautiful thanks to this hotel. in the middle of nowhere, the hotel offers such great views of the lake and it lets you BE in the lake itself which is amazing. the only drawback is that there is absolutely no other food options besides eating in the hotel's restaurant which charges at nearly 2 times more than the local options which are already 2x overpriced for locals. so my tip? bring your own food.

A lovely hotel in a fabulous location”

Close to the main village & a super location to see the sunset

Paradise Inle Resort is a lovely hotel in a spectacular setting. Part of the pleasure is the ride by long-tail boat just to get there. As you approach the hotel, the entrance to the hotel is a lovely site with staff waiting to give you a very warm welcome. Excursions around the lake are close at hand and the boat boys know all the places of interest.

Great!”

Views, staff, setting

Great setting on Inle Lake. Staff were the best we had on our trip to Myanmar. Someone fell into the water as they were getting off their taxi boat, and within 20 seconds there were over a dozen staff trying to help. The setting is absolutely perfect - we had a very hard time leaving. Food was good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was great. Rooms are large and clean. Yes, there are some bird noises in the roof but it didn't bother us at all. The only issue we had was the shower backed up a bit.

Favorite stay in Myanmar”

beautiful location, spacious rooms

Paradise Inle Resort was my favorite stay in Myanmar. Situated right on Inle Lake, you get a fantastic view of the lake and mountains, esp. during sunrise and sunset. Rooms are private villas over the water, with windows situated properly to guarantee privacy. Lighting was dim in the room, but did encourage you to sleep early and rise with the sun. Bathrooms are a bit sparse and dated, but fits the rustic charm of the place. Mosquito nets are provided and they spray your room during the evening so I thankfully didn't get bitten. But it did get cold at night, so the extra blankets in the closet were necessary. Only gripes were that the restaurant food was not very good at all. But not many options when you're stuck in the resort (and boats can't travel at night). Breakfast wasn't much better. They do primarily western options, but don't think this is a strength for them. Also, don't expect to sleep in since you'll hear the whirr of boats driving by starting in the early morning. Otherwise, very pleasant stay for an affordable price.

A relax hotel”

Quiet and beauty enviroment

It is locate in the Inle Lake. YOu need to take a boat fron Nyaung Swhe to there, around US12 for one way. The hotel built on top of the lake, with water under you house. Only one resturant in the hotel. You may need to take both breakfast and dinner there as the lake is too dark for taking boat at night. It may be danger. The service is very good. Clean and big rooms. WIFI is provided (low speed). YOu can access it at the lobby. The hotel also helps you arrange lake trips, airticket, money change, etc.

lovely for 1 night”

beautiful location,

Lake inle is very beautiful so it would be a pity not to spend a night on the lake (but 1 night was enough for us). However, once you arrive, you are stranded after dark. The restaurant costs about double what you would pay in town and it is best to arrange for a boat to pick you up as the hotel charges higher rates.

peaceful, but can be better”

idyllic location

Paradise Inle Resort is located on Inle Lake and can only be accessible by boat. The lake itself is amazing, with great views and peaceful surroundings. The hotel however could be better. The only place to eat once you arrive is at the restaurant, which is slightly expensive but ok in quality. The boat ride to Nyaungshwe will cost you Kyat return if you book via the hotel. You can get a contact of your own boatman and it may cost around Kyat or so. The room is comfortable, although there are many mosquitos. Hot water is reliable. There is close to nothing to do at the resort, which may not be a bad thing. My advise is to stay at Nyaungshwe for a few nights and just spend one night on the lake or Paradise Inle. It'll be more than enough.

Relaxing but basic”

quiet, relaxing and location

Paradise Inle Resort (PIR)was very relaxing after 3 days of hiking in the hot Myanmar sun. We were met with cool towels and refreshing fruit drinks. Afterward we were taken to our room which was spacious with a shower and tub, both which were used extensively. The bed was big and comfortable with bed net. The setting was very quiet and each room has a porch to sit on to take in the view (either the lake or the marsh). Lake side rooms may have a better view but they might be more noisy as the long-boats are loud and common. There was no TV, mini-bar and internet is extremely limited. We could really only get connection in the lobby. One limitation was that there are few options to go out elsewhere - once your are there you are a "captive audience". The hotel had many large tour groups. Food selection was limited but decent and prices were a bit elevated but not unreasonable. Service was OK at best. Often staff did not understand English and were slow bringing the order. We only stayed for one night but enjoyed it. The hotel is centrally located to many of the cultural sights around the lake. Everything must be visited by boat. PIR says they can arrange off lake tours but I would check elsewhere first for better prices. I would stay here again but would look around first.

Floating Hotel on the Lake!”

Enjoy the Sunset on the Lake

i stayed 3 nights in this floating hotel and it turns out to be a good decision since i enjoy the cool air and quietness on the lake. the room is not luxurious, but i love its bamboo walls and numerous windows facing the water. the only downside is that the hotel is pretty isolated, you have to take a boat to everywhere, even the hotel next door. that also means you have to eat in the restaurant if you don't have your food supply. the food in the restaurant is quite expensive and with limited choice. i tried the fish from the lake, it is ok but i think it is a bit overpriced. overall, the staff are very friendly during off season, they even offer free wifi in the lobby (if there is power supply and the weather is good)

It's on the lake,

Great place to stay at! Friendly service. The views of the lake are amazing, especially when the mist is over the lake in the morning or the sun sets. Only the restaurant prices are steap, as you can't really go anywhere else in the evening ( you're stuck on the river hotel). Great romantic getaway, or for solotravelers like us that wanted a unique experience. Bring a jacket and warm sweater, it gets really cold in the evening (10 degrees celcius)

Over-priced. ”

Location

In the middle of lake means you have to pay double boat fee if you have to use hotel's boat booking service. Restaurant choice is very limited and overpriced. When we checked out, we were told to use 1:900 rate to purchase local currency to settle the bill. Normally currency is rated 980 or 1000 in other international hotels in MM. Paradise Inle Resort then took this chance to overcharge us about $20. Well in summary, it's not a good "value for money" choice for solo travelers. It's good for Group travelers because of the relaxing hotel environment and wonderful location.

Shame about the food”

Amazing view of the lake, nice rooms, very friendly staff

Inle is a fascinating place but to get ANYWHERE other than the hotel you need to take a boat/river taxi, which can make you feel a bit trapped in the hotel - if the weather isn't great, you might feel even more trapped! It wouldn't matter as much though, if the food here was acceptable - and it really isn't. It's very expensive by Myanmar standards, and the food is uniformly bad - to get out for dinner means a 12000 kyat boat each way (about UK£6 - so £12 return) into town, and they stop running at sundown (around 6pm in Oct/Nov). The hotel rooms are lovely though and the staff really friendly and helpful. You might find it noisier than expected here - the fishermen and boatmen on the lake all have loud outboard motors, and they start work REAL early.
