Absolutely fantastic! Felt like 'home' in Bangkok”

I absolutely loved my stay at the Park Plaza! It truly felt like a 'home' in Bangkok - and not just merely a hotel. I spent 3 weeks in Bangkok - with short breaks up to Korat & down to Hua Hin - each time I left BKK & came back, I had no hesitation whatsoever in coming back to stay in the Park Plaza. The rooms themselves were beautiful - tastefully decorated & well appointed - with attention paid to small details, like various lighting options, an adjustable speaker system in the bathroom - just small touches, but useful & well thought out. The rooms I stayed in weren't huge - but the space was used very well & they were more than big enough for myself & my girlfriend to spread out our stuff & still be able to easily function around it. The staff however were the highlight - smiling, friendly & competent - nothing was ever too much trouble for them & whenever any small issues did occur (The in-room wi-fi could occasionally be a bit temperamental) - they resolved them quickly & efficiently. On the whole, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here & would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends & family, and indeed - stay here again myself on my next visit to Bangkok. Sure, there are cheaper options - but in my experience in BKK - you get what you pay for! And on a value-for-money basis I absolutely cannot fault the Park Plaza! Soi 18 is also a lovely, small, quiet street - a rarity n Bangkok - and is right smack bang at Asok BTS station when you reach the corner of Sukhumvit Rd.

Feels almost like home :-) ”

Evertime when I visit Bangkok, I try to get a room at Park Plaza Soi 18. I travel almost every year to Thailand and start my journey with some days at Bangkok. I stay at the Park Plaza Soi 18, not just because of the quite location at sukhumvit road and one of the best restaurants next door to the hotel... NO it is the crew... well it is most of all COCO, one of the concierge. He is always highly motivated and helpful to give some advices, ideas or local insiderknowledge. The hotel offers one of the best beds in town and a nice pool on the top of the hotel. Great to chill out after a active day in Bangkok. Looking forward for my next stay at Park Plaza Soi 18.... :-)

Excellent Stay”

I had a great 2 weeks at the Park Plaza Soi 18. This hotel is located in a very nice and quiet Soi but just 5 minutes from busy Sukhumvit. The rooms are not new but they are kept in great conditions. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. The front desk clerks are friendly and relax. The cleaning staff makes sure that I have a clean room when returning from a busy day exploring Bangkok. The supervisor knocks on the door everyday to see if I am satisfy with the cleanliness of my room. The dinning room staff is so polite and efficient. The breakfast buffet is just above average but the service is beyond excellent. I would love to stay at this hotel again the next time I visit Bangkok.

Perfect, ”

Park plaza was great for us. Before I retired we always stayed at The Royal Orchid Sheraton or Dusit Thani and they were magnificent. Now we are traveling more and wanted something nice but not to pricy. I picked this one from reading tripadviser and agoda that gave favourable reviews. We stayed three nights to break up our trip from two months stay in our North East Thailand home and do some shopping on our way back to Sydney. Its a walk to train to go adventuring cheaply and a walk across main road bridge into another block to Soi Cowboy if thats a place you would like to go. We went for a stroll there one night and its safe and ok to sit down and have a drink and watch people walk up and down the street. If you walk down main road to soi 22 on the corner is a bar called OTTO that has a Thai band playing 80s 90s rock and roll from 10pm that is well worth a visit.At the end of street (soi 18)on corner is money exchange that gives better rate than banks and he doesn't require you to show passport or ID, very handy. We selected a budget room that had no view but wall of building next door., we didn't know about this from our booking until we actually entered the room, it didn't bother us at all as room was so nice and we were in one of the budget rooms anyway.Room size was not the largest we have been used to but beautifully furnished ,clean and fresh. Great beds loverly bathroom. We chose not to include breakfast so I can't comment on that. There are two restaurants next door for western or Thai food for breakfast and not expensive ,other places close by that looked inviting as well. Nice rooftop pool and bar area and pool is big enough to swim laps. We will be back on our next trip to Bangkok as it ticked all the boxes for us. Staff fantastic, very helpful and friendly.

My go-to hotel in central Bangkok”

I stay at the Park Plaza Soi 18 nearly every time I pass through Bangkok, 3x/year. The location is perfect for me, off Sukhumvit but close to public transportation, on a small soi with convenient services but little of the seediness of other Sukhumvit sois. The service is always excellent, and the rooms are great value for the price. I am a loyal customer for a reason. My one critique is that I question how frequently/thoroughly the gym equipment is cleaned. And I'd love to see a second treadmill in there.

everything that is currently included in 8-storey smaller-sized 4-star bangkok hotels in here in this park plaza branch. pool bigger than average with not a lot of lounge chairs; area more set-up for rooftop drink-loungeing. room decor and design nice, but not different from similar style hotels. size is average. shuttle on offer. staff well-trained. breakfast not included. only 3.5 months old and already park plaza full of japanese -- couples, multi-generational groups, golf clubs -- so likely fully-booked soon with no more promos being run. sukhumvit 18 a nice, quiet soi, but there are closer options to asok station.

Nice Hotel, Best Service”

upon reaching the hotel, i was greed by a very polite hotel staff with a very nice big smile, the room in this hotel was big and clean, a very comfortable bed, hotel staff there were also very helpful..breakfast was also very nice and price of the americian breakfast was also very reasonable. i will recommand this hotel to all my relatives and friends and will be back to this hotel again..happy staying..management of park plaza bangkok soi 18, keep up the excellent standard.

great location, very good service from all d staff”

we are a frequent traveller to bangkok & stayed in many various hotels before but park plaza soi 18 is our favorite so far. very convenience location, a restaurant, massage center, hair salon just around d hotel with reasonable price, food stalls along d road till asoke station, (we love d stall selling 'otak-otak' , a kind of fish cake but in various ingredients ie. shrimp, crab, fish & king crab. they served it with white rice). there's a family mart just around d corner so you can replenish whatever you need before going back to d hotel. we loved their clean rooms & very good service from all d staff & free wifi. last but not least, there's tuk-tuk provided by d hotel to send you out to the junction of the road. overall, we have a very good impression of the hotel & we will stay here again. two thumbs up for d management team & hope they will keep up d good job!!

if you go to bangkok, and you want to stay in the sukhumvit area, don't pass this one! i've stayed in alot of hotels all over asia and also in bangkok, and i can really recommand the park plaza soi 18. perfect rooms and bed, very clean, a wi-fi which is working very well (halleluja!) extremely friendly staff, breakfast is just fine, good coffee, scrambled eggs, lots of fruits, also rice dishes and noodlesoup for our asian friends. i would guess the manager could be german, really very well managed...

what a great hotel! fantastic in every way”

i had such a great time at park plaza. i originally thought i was booking the other park plaza and was a little disappointed by the mix up but for no reason. this hotel far outshines all my expectations and more. the rooms were nicely sized. my first booking was a queen bed which had a bigger room and bathroom than the two twin bed rooms which was in the corner. i didn't get to try the food but other reviews said it was good. the hotel is well situated in asoke with a 8 minute walk to the bts and terminal 21 (big mall) and mrt (subway). the friendly front doorsman drove me in the tuktuk whenever i needed it. the hotel manager (nina) is just the best. i loved the customer service here. there are great food places next door and many massage parlors. i also ate a lot of the street carts on soi 18 and they were delicious. can't wait to come back here again.

GREAT hotel in TOP location”

The Park Plaza was the last of five hotels we stayed in during a family (Mum, Dad & three teenage daughters 14, 13 and 13) holiday in Thailand. The rooms were modern and beautifully clean. Beds massive and comfortable. The pool was good. Location perfect, a 5-10 minute walk to Asoke BTS, which was about 4 quick stops from Siam Square. Terminal 21 is a relatively new shopping plaza which is next to Asoke BTS, a gorgeous multi level shopping complex which our daughters loved! Soi 18 was a quiet little street with awesome street food vendors, foodmart at the end and a great cheap little restaurant called P Kitchen right next door to the hotel. Overall, the Park Plaza was great. The staff were extremely experienced and friendly, and always accommodating. We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Park Plaza which really topped off our Thailand adventure.

Great hotel”

I was very pleased with my stay at the Park Plaza Bangkok Soi 18. I was given a room near the elevator and was worried that I would hear the noise of people coming and going, but thankfully I didn't. The bedroom and bathroom were quite large and comfortable. The gym is sufficient and the pool near the gym, which I didn't use, seemed popular. In addition, the staff was always welcoming. Although this hotel is located in the CBD, you can easily take the skyway or metro to other locales in Bangkok.

Exceptional”

This hotel is in a great location - walking distance to Asoke BTS and Terminal 21 shops. I really liked soi 18 also - really quite nice to walk down, a choice of places to get a 250-300 baht 60 min massage, a few restaurants, 7-11 etc. Best of all, it had a fantastic coffee shop at the end of the road, called Artis. The hotel itself is fairly small in comparison to some of the other big hotels in the area. The rooms are a good size and are clean. The rooftop pool area is nice. Breakfast is perfectly ok - although the constant reminders about the end of breakfast service got a bit annoying. The staff were really friendly. Would stay here again. For the price and location, it's a winner. I booked the park plaza for the start of my trip, and re-booked again for my return trip to Bangkok 5 weeks later. A cab to/from BKK to the hotel is 350-400 baht.

Great hotel, but with no view”

we stayed in bangkok park plaza soi 18 hotel for 3 nights. the hotel is about 10 minutes walking distance from asok sky train station and about 3 stations from siam station, the major skytrain interchange in bangkok. overall the impression is good, very new, clean hotel. the room is just nice and modern with everything u can ask for in a 4 stars hotel..it has only 8 floor hence you dont expect to see great view of bangkok from this hotel. the hotel is located in a small alley with couples of massage parlor and local hawker stalls surrounding it, so there will be no problem for non-breakfast room or even supper in the middle of the night also, familymart ( 24hrs convenient shop )just around the corner. if you are coming from airport, just take a taxi and it cost just around bht 300 from bangkok international airport. it's not convenient to take trolley luggage from skytrain to the hotel as the pedestrian walk way is just too small.

Most pleasurable & relaxing”

We stayed 2 times at Park Plaza Bangkok Soi 18 and experienced consistently pleasurable and enjoyable moment in both visits. Staff were very friendly and professional, breakfasts were great, room was clean and comfortable. The only weakness of the hotel is that it takes a few minutes to reach the nearest BTS station Asoke by walking and connecting them is a narrow pedestrian path. Overall, I give a score of 9.9 to this hotel out of a 10-point scale.

Everything was fine”

we came early and the room was not ready, so we were offered a room slightly smaller, but identical to the one we have paid for. but we were not offered another room later or anycompensation like free breakfast or anything. apart from this everything is fine. rooms are nice and everything works fine. staff is freindly and location is ok. 300 meters from main sukhumbvit road and just acroos from sukhumvit is soi cowboy, which is one of bangkoks 3 red light districts. after reaching sukhumvit rd its another 300 meters to the bts skytrain which can easily bring you to any site in the city from shopping centers , to markets, to airport (on nut station), and to soi nana (1 stop) which is the other bar area. the hotel is clean, look big and expensive. the breakfast area is classy but have a bit noisy aircondition. but its the only small things to complain about in a hotel i will definitely ask agoda for price for this hotel the next time i go bangkok. normal price is too high a price. i paid less.

The Park Plaza Bangkok's little brother.”

We usually stay at the Park Plaza around the corner (bigger and about 50% more expensive). The truth is, the other Park Plaza is nicer - they have a great smell, the furnishings are superb and the bed is incredible. That said, for the price, the Park Plaza soi 18 is great. The rooms are still great, the bed is nice and you get fast internet, plasma TV, nice big shower and the staff go out their way for you. If you've stayed at both Park Plazas in Bangkok you'll notice the difference... but there is also a difference in your wallet ;) P.S - We liked it enough to extend our stay an extra 5 nights.

A fantastic stay. This hotel has everything that you would want. Great modern style rooms with every convienience, hotel staff service is above excellent, food is 1st class. The hotel is situated approx 300 metres down Soi 18. Soi 18 is quiet and has a number of eating places. We would make the Park Plaza our 1st choice whilst in Bangkok, and do hope to stay there again.

Great Hotel on Soi 18”

Park Plaza is in a good location on Soi 18, which is fairly quiet and relaxing, has a number of cafes, restaurants and massage shops to spend a lazy afternoon in. The deluxe rooms are larger than average with a big comfortable bed, nice decor and a large Samsung tv with DVD player. If you can get a good deal on Agoda this hotel is great value for money. The bathroom has a nice shower although it does have a large window into the bedroom which may not suit couples ( a blind is provided however). The staff were helpful and very nice without being overbearing. I had a very pleasant stay and will definitely return to this hotel.

Another great stay at Park Plaza Soi 18”

Park Plaza Soi 18 is my go-to hotel in Bangkok. The rooms are quiet and spacious, the beds very comfortable and the location on the relaxed Soi 18 is very convenient. The staff at Park Plaza are very friendly and professional without being overbearing, and thanks to them I had a great stay and look forward to my next one.
