Very peaceful and beautiful resort”

We enjoyed a stay with Patravana Resort Khao Yai in early September 2017. Our stay was a pleasure, as staff appeared very helpful, polite and eager to ensure that our stay was a good one. The resort is a bit away from major roads and Khao Yai sights, so it is an advantage to have own car or other flexible means of transportation. However, the location means that you do not hear any annoying traffic noise or other noise what so ever. The location is very peaceful. Our room was large and provided sufficient space, a very nice and large balcony as well as a jacuzzi, much to the pleasure of our kids. Hotel facilities are plentiful and in good working order. The swimming pools are not deep, hence very good for families with small children. Breakfast was enjoyable and well-prepared with fresh ingredients. The hotel restaurant is recommendable. All in all, a very peaceful and beautiful resort.

We had a wonderful stay at the Patravana and would highly recommend it to others. Our family of five has lived in Bangkok for almost a decade and we've stayed many places in the city and around the country. The Patravana Resort is located in a quiet and secluded area near Khaoyai National Park and makes for a relaxing getaway from city life. The resort grounds are quaint and well manicured and the pool is very luxurious, lined with natural stone. There's also an unheated, whirlpool tucked away under some trees. Guests without their own vehicle may feel a bit isolated but I imagine the hotel can schedule day trips or your may consider renting a car for your trip. If your family is looking for a quiet getaway (play games, swim, read, spend time together) this is the place for you. Day trips could be made to PB Winery/Vineyard - great wine, dining and even grape juice for the kids (about a 5 minutes drive away), Chokchai Farm - great dining, ice cream and a fun and informative farm/agri-tour (about a 30 minute drive away), and of course Khaoyai National Park - Thailand's first national park. (Note that the entrance fee for foreigners is ten times the rate for Thai Nationals (Entrance Fee for Foreigners -400 Baht/Adult -200 Baht/Child). It's a beautiful park and well worth a visit. (about a 25 minute drive to the front gate)

A 5 Star resort located in a beautiful surrounding”

Traveled with a family of 2 adults and 2 children. Booked Patra suite with extra bed. The resort is 159 KM from Bangkok, need a own transport, the resort is easily reachable. GPS 14.559493,101.256252. The resort is very clean and located between Greenery and mountains just 16 Km from the Khao Yai National park entrance.when I sent the picture of the resort with location some of my friends asked me "Am I in Swiss?" so now that tells you all. The check-in was quick, the rooms spacious and clean with all toiletries and Jacuzzi. Beautiful and spacious 2 Balcony with super views. The restaurant was spacious and with a beautiful views. The Thai food served here was very delicious ( this is the first time we had all our meals (except 1 lunch) had in the resort restaurant. The only concern was breakfast as it was 90% Thai breakfast with Bread, Toast, cereals and egg station for Non-Thais with a fresh coconut as a surprise for a breakfast. Overall nice resort, while we were there it rained and that added the joy with cool climate. The resort has the lagoon inspired outdoor swimming pool and warm water Jacuzzi. A nice fitness club with modern equipment's. The staff and very friendly. The resort provides free bicycle to ride inside the huge resort.The free WiFi is available with good speed. All my 5 devices were connected with good speed. Will definitely go again once before moving out of Thailand after living here for 20 years.

Great value for money, large suites with spectacular view. Great restaurant & breakfast”

The view from our third floor suite was stunning, overlooking the resort and khao yai national park mountain. The national park starts just 100meters from resort. The breakfast buffet was good with a lot of continental & thai varieties and the dinners we had there were fantastic, the chef really deserves a huge thanks for his thai food skills! We are both Thai & foreign, and we both would give a solid 9,5 for the thai dishes. The only negative thing I can come up with is the same as for nearly all khao yai resorts, the distances are long so you need some kind of private transportation to move around. PB Valley and Gran monte wineries are both close to this resort. Other mentionable places further away. We will definately come back to Patravana on our next Khao Yai holiday!

We stayed in the patra suite on the second floor, the room was clean and the rooms were spacious. the bathroom has a jacuzzi which we used everyday. breakfast was the usual buffet but had a good coffee and toast,corn and taro grilled on a barbecue. there are 3 pools a small kids one a jacuzzi style one and a large pool with a waterfall. the gym is good if that is your thing. the reception staff were very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. you need a car if you stay here and that goes for all of the khao yai area. khao yai is the nicest part of thailand ,being that it is green and clean. all the beaches now seem to be dirty rip off spots. if they keep up the standard at patravana it might be tough to get a room at the weekend.

2 night stay with friends”

We had a lovely stay at Patravana. The room was very comfortable and appeared to be recently renovated. We had some problems with the shower head but told staff about the problem. The staff who work there are very warm and welcoming. They also gave us a map and some recommendations for exploring Khao Yai National Park.

Nice lovely hotel”

It was a nice stay in Patravana resort. The view is very nice and room is clean and comfortable. The location is good also which is close to Khao Yai national park with only 20 minutes.

Comfortable stay in a quiet part of Khao Yai”

Patravana Resort is a good choice if you are looking for to stay away from crowds and the buzz of the night market in Pak Chong - a perfect escape from city life. However, there are no restaurants within walking distance for dinner, so we had dinner at the Resort itself for both nights we were in Khao Yai. The food at the restaurant was quite good though at a slightly higher price than in night markets. Also, the roosters go off at about 6am and the nearby estate had radio blasting from 6 - 6.45am so if you are a light sleeper, beware! Other than the 45mins of morning noise, the Resort is a comfortable place to sleep in and just enjoy the natural landscape in Khao Yai.

Excellent”

This resort is having a very beautiful landscape. A very ideal place to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Surrounded by mountain so the air is very fresh here. Accommodation wise is good due to the spacious room and comfortable bed. Just the bathroom maybe needs some improvement. Highly recommend this resort to those come to Khao Yai. Will come back again.

Good For Relaxation & Little More”

This place is far removed from just about everything, which is nice for a few days of relaxation but for very little else. If you don't have a car, I wouldn't suggest coming here. They won't allow you to take the rental bikes out of the resort (what's the point of even having them?) and their taxi service is really expensive. Additionally, their restaurant is very good with excellent Isaan food choices, but they don't serve any alcoholic drinks and their beer is absurdly overpriced. I'd recommend walking down the street to one of the local stores to buy beer/water instead. One of the room buildings has its view completely blocked as well. Overall, stay here if you want a nice relaxing weekend in a quiet and serene environment, but not if you want to actually explore Khao Yai.

A very relaxing stay at Patravana”

Patravana Resort is a nice natural resort. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice and provided with fresh coconuts. The hotel provided Bicycles which were in good status and condition. The rooms were spacious and equipped with facilities but we had a little problem in the bathroom for which a plumber was sent for. View from the room was fantastic. We would like to return to Patravana again.

This is new resort close to Khao Yai national park. We stayed for 2 nights, location was quite, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Nice big rooms”

We enjoyed our stay at this resort. Breakfast was pretty good too. Extensive grounds, we didn't use the pool as temperature dropped to 12DegC when we were there and mostly super windy, the chairs on the balcony got blown from 1 end to the other... We chose the resort as it is close to 1 of the entrance of the Khao Yai National Park. Other attractions are quite far, except the Palio and Monte Valley...

Great Service and Environment”

Our stay was during the week before the Songkran period, thus being relatively quiet with low vacancy. Being given the Vana Suite on the top floor of Building 5 meant getting a great view overlooking the whole resort and near to the reception and entrance. Two slots of car park is available for each building, thus can park and take elevator to your room. However, no shade parking. The resort also has electric carts to drop you at various places, if required. But everything in the resort is within walking distance, or you can borrow a bicycle and ride around. All the staff are super friendly with proper manners, and always willing to help, which was the criteria which satisfied us the most. The surrounding environment is cozy and relaxing, hills all around. The resort is a bit hidden, slightly difficult to get to as it's narrow country roads that have no streetlights. Our stay was great, enjoyed the open air feel of it, where we could experience the cool morning breeze. The sofa in the living room was fabolous, you can literally sleep there. The Kingsize bed was also very comfy. Hot and warm water works well, the toilet is seperate from the bathroom, which is quite neat. The room was quite spacious, with a small round dinner table plus kitchenette (microwave and sink). The WiFi signal is strong but the speed could be a bit faster. There's a swimming pool, kids pool, jacuzzi and fitness center. A ping pong table would have been a nice inclusion. The breakfast was adequate but could be better with more variety to offer. It can get redundant if staying for more than 3 nights. Overall, for during the low season, great value for price. cable TV in the room should have more relevant channels, like HBO, BBC, ESPN, etc.

Is all about big and spacious room”

Patravana is a small resort but the room is spacious, clean and comfortable, however, there was mosquitoes in room. The hotel should instal mosquito net in the room. The staff are friendly and their service are good. The food at the hotel is not good and with little choice. The way to the hotel is a bit too dark at night, it was located in between PB Valley and Glanmonte Vineyard. It was ok with us since we rented a car. Over all we have a good time at Patravana

Weekend in the hills”

It's a nice place for a weekend getaway. Perfect if driving down as there are no local transportation. Khao Yai national park is only 20 mins away from the resort. Overall a great experience.

One of my favorite hotels near Khao Yai”

It is my favorite place in Khao Yai. Value for money is quite high. Withe the reasonable price, the room is spacious and clean. I have 2 kids and no problem of staying there. The ambience near this hotel is fantastic as it gives scenic and remote mountain views. Very good.

Spacious room with ample space and a good view”

The room was huge and worth the money price. In the room, there was a kitchen area with a microwave, plates and cutlery. A separate living area with a nice 3-seater sofa and TV. In the big spacious bedroom, there was more than sufficient space to walk comfortably and the bed was awesomely comfortable. There was a balcony for you to enjoy the view and breeze of the mountain view. In the toilet, there was a standing shower with anti slip mat and also a separated bath tub with jacuzzi functions. After a day of National Park trekking, the jacuzzi was a welcoming way to end the day. *Do bring your own bath salts* Last but not least, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Everyone was nice and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.

Very good experience”

Large and clean room making you feel at home. Very nice weather in December, and I like the location which is a bit nearer to Bangkok and not too far from main road to Kao Yai (depending on your destination) Only thing is that the parking lot next to the building has uneven surface, so please be mindful especially for children and elderly.
