A Lovely and Nice Hotel”

my stay at Pavilion Hotel Songkhla was fantastic with the Hotel facilites provided to us. kindly very recomended for all vacation purpose.

Newly Renovated Business Hotel”

After reading some of the previous less-than-positive reviews I hesitated to book The Pavillion Hotel. I'm glad I ignored the bad reviews. This business-oriented hotel has been completely renovated. Our room had a fresh coat of paint and refinished furnishings. It was clean and fresh smelling. Everything worked: the TV, the hot water, the air con, the fridge. The free WiFi was a pleasant surprise at 12 Mbs download and 3 Mbs upload. Thanks to numerous wireless routers, the WiFi signal is strong both in the rooms and public spaces. The hotel is conveniently located. The beach is about a kilometer to the east. The "lake" is a few hundred meters to the west. Old Songkla, the railway station market, the museums and the Tang Kuan Hill Lift are all within easy walking distance. There are a number of dining and drinking establishments a few hundred meters from the hotel. Transportation is readily available just outside the hotel. The buffet breakfast is very Asian, but there's plenty to eat and the coffee is good. Definitely recommended.

Lovely hotel”

Luxury Hotel located at Songkhla with cheap price. Good in Facilities and good receptions services. But the place is far from Hatyai. About 40 minutes distance from Hatyai.

good location near the heart of Songkhla city”

the hotel facilities were not so new but staffs were very kind to help me with many things. they kindly sent me with big laggages to the van station by the hotel car. I could see nice view of Songkhla city from the room. Air condition was not so well working.

good location ”

the location is good, if you stay during friday & Saturday night you can visit Songkhla walking street which is a bout 300 meters away. also there is sunday market opposite the hotel. the room was comfy enough, but there was several issue, the sink was clogged, air conditioning was not cold, most of the light bulb was out of service, there was no hot water in the morning to noon.

Cheap 2+ Star hotel; poor wifi”

This is not even a 3 star hotel. Hard to get taxis or tuk tuks. Restaurant is good and so is the buffet breakfast. Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Songkhla National Museum is three blocks away. Beach is not within walking distance. Street market is across the hotel. Wifi is really bad, with frequent line drops and poor speed. Massage is available in-house -- staff are mostly aged like your mama.

Great Location”

Loacted at the heart of Songkhla Town. Near to main attractions. Beaches, night market and sunday market. Overall a bit dated hotel but acceptable for budget traveller.

THe hotel is located at centre of songkhla town and walking distance to shopping complex , bar, pub, morning market and etc. And the distance from the beach about <3km. And at night is very a peacefull and quite place. For nightlife only start at 10pm until 2pm. Only few pub is active at nightlife. Songkhla is a best place to enjoy the beach enviroment and adventure. Also a place good for peace of mind

Amazing Value - Poor Air Quality”

Unfortunately, the air pollution from the Indonesian fires made the entire region extremely unhealthy. This is a very nice beach town that is not a place I can recommend until the Man made fires are extinguished. If you must travel to this area, this hotel is fabulous for the price. If travel to the affected areas are not required, go somewhere else! Do your research on this tragic man made environmental disaster. The Indonesian government obviously condones setting these fires to clear land or the practice would stop. I am shocked and horrified.

Great Location”

Located at heart of Songkhla. Near to the beach, night market and weekend market. A bit dated but acceptable if cost-saving and nearby attraction comes to mind.

Strategic Location and convenient”

THe hotel is located at centre of songkhla town, walking distance to beach, less than 2 to 3km. Shopping complex, morning market also nearby the hotel. More relaxing place as is nearby the beach, feel good especially if you wish to take a break.

Good hotel and location”

The rooms and beds were comfortable. The bedding was a bit worn but the towels were almost new. There was enough space in the room for my two kids (in their own room) to play around without feeling cramped. We loved the lunchtime buffet - all you can eat for 99 Baht, kids were about 60 Baht. Our breakfast tickets said American breakfast but there was a buffet breakfast each morning we were there. It was good - Asian and foreign food together. Although the hotel advertised free internet in the lobby, there wasn't any. But, you could buy an internet ticket - 50 baht for 1 hour or 100 Baht for 24 hours and access internet in your own room. All in all, my kids had a good time which made me have a good time. The hotel is within walking distance of the night market, old wall and central. A close drive to the aquarium, zoo and only 20kms from the ice dome and Hadyai where there is plenty of good shopping. We will be booking in here again.

My stay at the pavilion hotel was not the best, the rooms where very bad standar, it was very old and alot was broken, i tried the gym But almost everything in the gym was borken But they still had it for show. If you want a drink or 2 the bar erea is not to far, and have many bars and pubs for eat food from other country or enjoy a drink :) or at least some taste off it.

Value for Money”

Location is good as it is near to the Sunday market and Night market ( Fri-Sun). Room is clean with nice floor tiles. Aircond is not cooling but bearable, I hope they will upgrade the aircond soon. The let down if you travel with kids is no swimming pool available. However, you may use the sister hotel Rajamanga near the beach front. Hotel staff say is walking distance but I suggest you take a tuk tuk which cost you 50Baht.

Declining business hotel with friendly staff”

Pavilion is one of those hotels in decline. I stayed 2 nites and had many problems but the willing staff tried hard. one example were the many holes in the sheets on my bed from too many washings. While my room seemed clean and even pretty with nice tile floors and all basic conveniences in matching dark red with brass fittings, I got very sick over two days & nites there. have a severe allergy to bedmites and to mold which builds up in aircons. Those mattresses have been too well-used. Room service and the restaurant staff were polite and friendly. and invariably got something in my orders wrong, in part at least due to the language barrier. If you stay here, keep asking for what you want, insist on a room change if you need one, and expect the unexpected.

One week solo holyday in Songkhla”

This hotel is a middle hotel not very good not bad, but ok. The room has been renovated, so the rooms has improved resently. But I stay in this hotel because of the location, oand because I know the hotel and the surroudings very well. There is no swimming pool, and a very small gym, the breakfast is avarage for this kind of 3 star hotel, bread, eggs, coffee, tea, juice, corn flakes etc. But the location is excellent, walking distance to restaurant, bars at night, and the place is quiet at night.

Lovely Hotel but need upgrade.”

force to stay this hotel because all other better hotel fully booked. hotel is okay with the money paid but need more upgrade on the room. hotel got fixed customer from oil & gas company but still have to consider to upgrade the hotel.

If we had more time, I would look for a overall better place to stay as I think Songkhla has much to offer. Avoid the massage parlor on the 3rd floor as the masseurs are not interested in massaging.

only short stay. Hotel quite old. not enough parking space. I book with 3 rooms, first and second room they have with 2 towels, but missing in room 3. I make a call to operator to inform that and claim they will bring it, and I left the hotel for tour. Once returned to hotel about mid night, found that only 1 towel in my room and I didn't call them because not big issue for me and I stay alone on my room. In the morning, when I want to check out, I told to the staff (room cleaning) that I have only 1 towel in my room, anyway she a arguing that she took it 2 to my room. I m tried to explain . but look like she not happy with that, but I more not happy with she action back too. She not rude, but not appropriated action. At the check out counter, I have to wait, because they need to check the room and to ensure all not stolen by me (I guess). All above should not what it's call themselves as 4 star hotel treat to customers?. The hotel should category under 2 or 3 star hotel. or if not. customers will not trust or give reliability to agencies who give this rating score or give the level to under standard hotel.
