The staffs here are always exceptional, always smiling and helpful. The Rooftop Chinese restaurant is a must-try. Well-equipped meeting facilities. Will definitely revisit when in town.

The Pearl Hotel in Phuket is an enjoyable place to spend a holiday or just relax time in downtown Phuket. The staff are as friendly, positive, and helpful as I have seen in a medium size hotel here. The pool is in a beautiful jungle filled garden with waterfalls- about as relaxing as you can get. While the rooms are a bit old, they are adequate, spacious, with good views overlooking Phuket town. The included breakfast meals are not exciting- but just fine. The value for the cost is good. I will be happy to go to the Pearl again. Wes B.

Good values”

I booked one of the new rooms on the top floor. It was very nice, very modern. Everything is clean and the bed is really comfy. Hot water works great, no issue about water drainage like other hotels. Staffs at front desk and house keepers are very helpful and friendly. I am very happy that I decided to stay at Pearl Hotel regardless of some negative reviews. The 12th floor restaurant is also excellent.

Friendly hotel in great location”

Pearl hotel is located in the town near shopping centers and restaurants. It was a clean and friendly hotel. We enjoyed our stay while diving in Phuket. We had good Thai seafood for 3 evenings at a hawker stall near a wet market behind Robinson departmental store. It was delicious. Other than diving, we also enjoyed the Thai massage. Go for a 2 hours massage.

if you can't stand the tourist bits of phuket for long, the pearl is a great place. you really feel you're in thailand, not like the dump that is patong. staff are great. pool is ok.

A nice hotel”

We stayed in the Pearl hotel for three nights. The rooms are new and clean. It was one of the rare places in Thailand where the aircon was not blowing directly into the bed, meaning that we had no problem keeping it on at night. We did get stained sheets, but after complaining to the staff, they changed it and after that we got clean sheets.

Though the room was very old, I have no complains.”

No free wifi is provided. Hotel staff told us kindly to buy access card and use it with pc at lobby. Room is very old. No coffee/tea making facility. But I like this hotel. This hotel must be once the best hotel in Phuket Town, I guess. Fruits was served by the staff with traditional Thai costume at evening. Staff's uniform was also very nice kebaya and sarong.

Good Location in center city,Look new hotel after renovation,Good Breakfast”

Hotel is just renovated and all look new except swimming pool look not ok.It look like we are in Jungle and a lot of insects.Room is small but clear and new facilities.Breakfast was a very good taste and a few juice drinking but not varities food&fruit.In front of hotel has local restaurants and 7-11 convenience shops.You can walk from hotel to tourist places in city as Old Town, Night Market, Small Park, Local restaurants for 10mns.It is about 40-50mns from the airport to hotel.Recommend to take airport minivan and drop at your hotel.If you take the airport bus, it will stop at bus terminal and you will take a local car from bus terminal to hotel again.

Newly refurbished rooms very spacious and pleasant”

The Pearl Hotel looks awful from the outside! Once you step inside, however, you see that it is steeped in history. We stayed on one of the newly refurbed rooms and it was very nice. It was spacious, modern, spotless and offered a great view across the city. Air-con and TV worked and the window opened. There is no balcony. The wifi was intermittent during our stay. The pool area was quiet and charming, although the pool looked a bit dirty. We did not have any food or drink in the hotel.

Old hotel but very good service, good location too”

I like this hotel quite a lot. Location is very good (downtown and have 7-11 shop opposite). Hotel staff is very friendly and useful. The price is also good. The breakfast is normal but not bad. Recommend to rent a car from airport and drive here (beware of driving in Phuket - sometimes not easy to drive).

Nicely decorated and clean”

The new Pearl room was great. Nicely decorated and clean. Helpful staff. Very good value for money. Free WiFi, useful for business travelers. Will definitely come back. Good local dishes for breakfast.

Large, clean room in a decent location”

The hotel is very nice and modern. The rooms are huge and the bed very comfortable. I noted the location as decent given that it is an easy 5 minute walk to the heart of Old Town. However, the noise from the motorbikes on the street was so loud that it was unbelievable and I was on the 11th floor. I am not easily disturbed by such noise but it seems there are no mufflers on the motorbikes in Old Town so I would suggest requesting a room that faces away from the street. The staff were helpful and the hotel/rooms were very clean. However, there is a beautiful pool area that I used once because the smell of the water made me question its cleanliness which was unfortunate.

Convenient and nice stop over”

we stayed at the pearl for one night before going down to Phuket. the food at the restaurant down stairs was average but the staff were very helpful and the rooms were clean. Good one night stopover

ok hotel for a stopover”

we chose this hotel for it's location and it's pool as we were stopping over for a night before heading back to the uk. the hotel did the job for us; beds are comfy, shower was powerful, and it was clean. the pool was ok. whilst the location is good, i suspect you can get much cheaper alternatives on arrival in phuket...we had to check out at midday and did not fly until 8pm that night and ended up taking a guest house room over the road for 250baht so that we had somewhere to leave our bags and have a shower before flying home. whilst we asked the staff if we could extend or even pay for a later check out time, they wanted to charge us another for the privelige, hence the move over the road !! overall it was ok, a bit soulless, but did the job.

nice stay”

very nice and pleasant stay. the room is large. Staff very helpful especially the porter and security. Nice location as within walking distance of "old town". However the breakfast is bad. The only thing that is served hot is the tea and coffee. TS. S'poer

Great Location”

Even though this hotel is old, I should say they maintain it very well, clean and not smelly, staff are very polite and friendly.Location of the hotel is in the town center steps away from shopping areas. The coffee house is good with good food,and night with good music.

A grand hotel of yesteryear”

Picked the hotel, due to reviews and were not disappointed with the hotel. Disappointed that the Agoda rate charged was dearer than rack rate offered for an additional 2 nights. It would have been a grand lady in her day and found the staff attentive and no issues with an english langauge barrier. Parking can be an issue and if a single lady was using the hotel l would have concerns about walking to hotel from the carpark as it is some distance from the hotel. We enjoyed the inclusive breakfast.

Lovely place and great staff ”

Great place and awesome staff. Easy for ticket booking for external trips and a great taxi service two and from hotel. Great place to spend a few days and good snorkeling right at your door step

Great Location in Phuket City but small rooms”

The hotel location is on center of the phuket city. Very close to the shopping center Robinsons, traditional shops, and The Old Town. It's about 30 minutes to the airport The room is small and hotel is old but the staffs are friendly
