Hotel for the budget conscious ”

Room and attached bathroom was clean but very small. Location in heart of Little India was only 2m from Farrer Park MRT and a stones throw from City Square Mall so finding a variety of food and supplies was convenient. This room would likely suit a solo traveler as there was very little room to move. Also fine for those only using the hotel as a place to sleep over in house entertainment.

Best budget hotel”

I stay here for three night. As I was alone, I got the small room with no windows at the end of the Hall. It feel creepy at first because it was quite at the end of the Hall, however I got used to it. They didn't provide coffee sachet in the room, but you can get it from the front counter for a few cents. The air cond is cold and works great. There is a few indian Muslim restaurant around the hotel where you can grab your food. Hotel is 2 minutes of walking distance to farrer Park station. Or you can walk 10 minutes to little India station. Whichever you prefer. The hotel is in old Building, fill with old clean furniture (I got an antique old wardrobe in my room). There is no water heater inside the room. But they give you thermos bottle to take the Hot water from the Hallway. Mug and cup are both provided.

Exceptional”

We stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights. Excellent location. The hotel is very near Farrer Park MRT station (one of the exits, along Birch Road, is literally beside the hotel). The staff is also very courteous and will address all your concerns. The room is a bit small but we only needed a place to sleep so it was enough. They clean the room everyday when you're not around, and replace the towels daily. There's also a water dispenser for free so getting cold and hot water isn't a problem anymore. There's also free fast wi-fi access. Upon checkout, it's also possible to leave your luggage at the package counter first and then just return especially if you have a late departure flight. Will definitely recommend this and will consider booking this again when I go back to Singapore.

Nice Place”

Nice place, in a very strategic location with super close access to MRT and Little India. Hotel is very simple, yet clean. Room with window is pointless because the windows are frosted. Other than that, very satisfied for its price point. Will definitely stay here again.

Very Basic Acco in Little India”

Penta is located in Little India, very close to the MRT and Mustafa. The hotel is very basic. Neat and clean and helpful staff for sure, but they have really cut corners ! They do not have even the usual folding stand, on which one can keep one's baggage. No F&B and no electric kettle too. Meant for budget travelers who possibly use the room to sleep at night.

Good Rooms..! Reliable Location”

Penta Hotel is situated in Little India. 200m to nearest MRT and 100m to Mustafa Shopping Mall. Staff is ok and Rooms are small but clean.

Excellent”

They cleaned the room Everyday. Spotless. Near to Farrer Park MRT. If u are a fan of Mustaffa Center, then this will suit you. Walking distance to Little India and all the Temples nearby. Airport trip is easy with MRT. Highly recommended.

Convenient location”

It was only one night stay. The hotel is getting old but maintained well. The room is big enough, shower has hot water, safety box at the reception, and just 1 min walk to Little India shopping area. Even you have a big luggage, it's really close to MRT station gate F (if I'm not wrong...), so it's no problem.

Exceptional”

Good location, hart of the little India,Mustafa shopping center is very close therefore we can do 24 hrs shopping.Hotel management & staff are also very pleasant & helpful.

Compared to the properties nearby like Claremont that looks more like a dilapidated building, Penta is well maintained. The AC works well too. I’d definitely stay here next time.

not great not bad”

I had booked a room with a window. it was in first floor. check in was quick. the room was definitely small but ok for one person to move around a bit, I would say the bath was bigger. amenities were very basic but the room was clean and bed was clean. for a single person who was most of the time outside it did not matter much. but the price could be little more economical is what I felt. staff are there but they are not very communicative but the lady was helpful. if no other better option is available penta with a room with a window in first floor road side looking is an okay option. location wise it was very very good.

I'd stay again”

Perfect location for little India. Street front rooms had large windows and good light. Though windows needed cleaning on the outside. Room was small but comfortable. Would nice to be supplied with drinking water and facilities to make hot coffee or tea. AC was nice and cool. TV selection and reception was good. My stay was quiet and pleasant and I'd stay again.

A place to lay my head”

Penta is a cheap 3-star hotel. Don't expect more. If you're looking for a place to lay your head, a hot shower and basics, like TV, air-con, etc.. this should be perfect for you. I just wish they would put in soft towels (is that too much to ask?). The wi-fi is also a little patchy.

Suitable for solo traveller better than hostel”

Location is very good Very close to farrer park MRT exit c. Moustaf centre is just 2 minute walkable distance. Many Indian restaurants available in little India...cleaning daily basis..hot&cold drinking water dispenser available in each floor..hot water is available in bath room. Building is not very new but well maintained...shampoo&soap in bathroom but no tooth paste provided. Flask for hot water& glass, cup saucer available in room...A/C is well working..free high speed wi fi .no braek fast...

pro 1.near Mustafa centre & beside the Ferrer park MRT. superb location for budget hotel 2.room very clean cons 1. the night reception @ owner @ Idk seriously come from hell. he angry to me because My 3years old son keep asking me and singing at 11pm because everybody in the hotel want to peaceful night. Their wall very thin maybe. 2. shouting because I don't bring printed hotel booking. hello this is Singapore I repeat Singapore your country want everything paperless but you still want us to bring printed booking. My handphone die after 1 day at USS . I ask to use my passport and check using my name he keep nagging me. and at the end he use my name to check my booking. his motto if can make people suffer why make them happy. 3. complain about my online arrival card. everything all the detail in there even your immigration impressed but not this receptionist from hell. please don't check in late or you will face this creature.

Budget Hotel ”

Pros: Location just opposite of Ferrer park MRT and Mostafa Mart. Very good stuff behavior, they helped me to get back my lost mobile from taxi driver. Clean and standard hotel, you get what you jave paid. Cons: Air Conditioning should be improved. Take time to cool the room. Overall good.

Good and definitely worth for the money”

Good location as it is at stone throw distance with Farrer Park mrt. Walkable distance to Little India mrt as well so makes the travelling easier. Room and toilet were clean. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

Fantastic location. Good value for money. But BEDBUGS”

The hotel is conveniently located a few steps away from the Farrer Park MRT station, with the entry points being as close as one block away. The famous 24 hour shopping haven of Mustafa centre is also just a street away. We got a double room with window, nothing special about the room, it was passable for the price considering how expensive Singapore is, but the bed we got was infested with bed bugs. I still have itchy wheals over my arms and legs from where I got bit.
