Way underrated, luxury rooms, pool, jacuzzi”
We had such a great experience during our time at Phutara Lanta Resort and their sister resort Pavilion. The staff were amazing, thanks to Robert the manager for making all this happen. The reception staff were very polite and friendly and thanks to Peemai the head reception lady for helping us with our many questions. The rooms were really big even more beautiful than the pictures show. The whole rooms was immaculately clean and the lovely ladies come to clean the room every day and bring fresh water and new towels. The pool area and gardens were very well maintained and there was a really peaceful and tropical feeling about the place. We can not speak highly enough of our experience and we will be delighted to return one day soon.

We are really happy with our choice when we picked Phutara Lanta Resort. It is very impressive and my wife love the bathroom. It is good to have the motorbike to explore the island, the staff helped us plan our driving trip around the island and it was a very good day. THANK YOU SO MUCH :-)

Good intentions, execution not up to standard”
Although the Phutara Lanta Resort is still being built the bungalows are already finished. The entrance is still a bit a construction site, but for a 3.000 baht luxury bungalow we can see through that. They even had a motor cycle lined up for us to use for free. In the room everything is fresh and new, they even had complimentary crisps, chocolate and very beautiful rain shower. The room was really nicely decorated, flat screen TV, nice bed and own terrace and kitchen. Despite that I have to be honest, there were five things that they didn't deliver on: 1. They have lights outside that cannot be switched off, the light comes from outside. (this is almost everywhere in Thailand 2. In Thailand they seem not to understand that you have to filter the water damp away in order to prevent to get a moldy shower. Although the place was less than a few months old in the bathroom was a smell like an animal had died there. 3. The resort is next to the road, but as the bungalow is not well isolated you can hear every motor cycle passing by. 4. They didn't make up the bed the second day, nor give us fresh towels/water/etc. 5. The breakfast at the wasn't that good They can be great if they improve isolation (both light and noise), get the water damp away, make up the bed every day, get better breakfast and inform guests upfront that a motor cycle is waiting (instead that you rent it your self at the peer) it can be potentially 4/5 stars.

A truly amazing experience, 5 star service”
From the very first moment arrived we were welcomed by polite and friendly staff who remained informative and extremely helpful. The service was fantastic and we were always taken care of. The rooms were really comfortable and felt very new. It was nice to have the suite next to the pool as it was so convenient to take a dip and relax in the jacuzzi. We really liked how the resort is located in the middle of the island so very easy to explore and see the caves and waterfalls and also the national park. We were very impressed by the genuine level of care from the staff and it really made our experience even greater. Until we sat down and had a chat with the staff we would have never known that there was so many things to see and do on Lanta. We have stayed in many places that have been much worse and paid much more so it was very good value. We will be back for sure.

Lovely hotel, not really a ‘resort’. ”
The staff were helpful, especially a man called Bear who learnt our names, gave good advice and went out of his way to help us. The breakfast included was good. The swimming pool with swim up bar was great. The room was huge with separate living area/kitchen/bathroom. You can organise any trips or scooter rentals from the front desk. The resort is about a 10 minute walk from the beach. We are backpacking and wanted to find a nicer hotel for Christmas. We explored the area, when we found Phutara the staff on the desk were a bit frosty but showed us rooms and offered their ‘best price’ but was way over our budget. We decided to have lunch before making a final decision as had seen lots of accomodations that day. Whilst having lunch we checked prices online, agoda had a deal that was 50% cheaper than the price the staff told us. I felt they could’ve told us about deals online and that their ‘best price’ wasn’t that good.

Nice stay, nice staff and location”
When we got there it didnt look finish and the pictures and description shown on the website was quite deceiving. There were very very small explanation that all facilities and including access to the beach can be done through their "sister hotel" which was some distant away. We didnt stay there cus we were not happy with what we saw. It was on the other side of the road and nowhere near the beach. We made a bit of a fuzz and eventually they found us room for their other sister hotel called "Lanta Pavillion" (supposed to share same owner, i assume). We stayed here in December and the weather was so perfect. This Lanta Pavillion on the other hand, hotel is located in front of the beach and very easy to access to other parts of the island with just one motorbike. The beach was very nice and there are many bars on the beach to choose. Definitely recommended for couple. You will have a very pleasant time here at Lanta Pavillion, the sister hotel of this Phutata Lanta Resort.

Spacious room but very smelly bathroom”
My girlfriend and I stayed in this hotel for six nights. The overall experience is average. The rooms are very spacious, we actually got a two-bedroom villa even though there were only two people staying there. Both rooms have air conditioners which is a big plus. The bathroom is also exceptionally large. However, the bathroom had some serious smell issue. We would come back from a day's trip and the whole room would reek putrid foul smell from the bathroom, like something was rotten in the pipes. The water would also turn off suddenly during a shower. We often found ourselves standing in the shower, cold and covered in soap, waiting for the water to come back on. The hotel is a new development/branch of Lanta Pavilion resort. If you need any service, including breakfast, you need to go to the main resort, which is 5 minutes motorbike ride away. The hotel did provide a free motorbike for us to use, which made our traveling on the Koh Lanta island a lot more convenient. The hotel is in the woods by the road side. Some reviewers complained about noise issue since the hotel is by the roadside, but I guess our villa was more in the woods, we did not have major noise problem. Breakfast was included with our stay, but the meal quality was just ok, and the service was slow.

Nice stay but not so good location”
Phukara Lanta is a nice place to stay. Rooms are big and swimming pool is lovely and social. The staff serving breakfast every morning are absolutely lovely but the ones at reception a bit less so. I hired a scooter with them for almost the entirety of our stay (8 nights). The main reason why I hired the scooter is because although the beach was very close by, unfortunately it was full of rocks and therefore we couldn't swim in the sea. I spoke to the reception lady about this issue, which is not the hotel's fault although it would be good if they would be honest on their Agoda page and mention about the beach. So I resorted in giving them even more money by hiring a scooter and asked if they could help me with letting me pay 150BHT per day for the scooter instead of the initial price of 150BHT. The lady suddenly had a very stern face and refused to entertain the conversation any further. Having spoke to the owner at the phone he was very happy to hire the scooter for 150BHT per day.

Everything Truely Amazing”
The villas are amazing and the bathroom is one of the best i have found for the price. The bed is so comfortable and wifi was really fast. I was able to connect my laptop to the flatscreen tv and streem the football games and watch them on the TV which was great. The staff were really knowledgeable and helped organise everything and made sure we had fun and exciting things to see and do. The beach is about 100 metres away but the motorbike allowed us to explore many beaches along the whole island. I would definitely recommend this resort and will be back again in the future. Coastal drives and 4 island snorkeling day tour are the two best value for money things to do.

Odd location away from the beach and fascilities”
Rather than being a real resort Phutara Lanta Resort is 5 houses located close to the road and minimum 5-10 minutes from the beach. Breakfast is included but as Phutara Lanta Resort is only a few houses breakfast, swimmingpool and all other fascilities are located at a nearby hotel that are reached by car or motorbike unless you're out for a very long walk. The house itself is good but it doesn't make up for the somewhat odd location for this luxurious house.

This was a pretty good hotel. Stayed there with my friends visiting from the U.S. The pool was nice and the staff was great. The hotel is actually much smaller and I would say maybe not quite as nice as the pictures reveal, but it was clean and great for our stay in Koh Lanta.

Amazing resort”
Very nice resort with good quality rooms and nice open spaces. Friendly and accommodating staff. I ordered the honeymoon flower arrangement to surprise my wife. That was amazing! scored good points that day. They facilitate a transfer to the beach at regular intervals, and if you don't mind walking this is doable too. There is a mosk nearby which you can sometimes hear but isn't annoying. When I'm in the region I will certainly book this again.

Both Arita and Benjawan are very attentive and helpful. Arita even helped us to remove a house lizard from our room! We enjoyed the room because of her great service. However, you would need to rent a car or scooter or get a driver to get around to places from the resort.

Pleasant stay but .......”
Before booking, despite reading all the negative reviews we thought we gave this resort a try. We had a pleasant surprise, our room is spacious and clean, the staff are friendly & helpful. The pool is clean. The resort was officially opened in Nov2015. Negative point:- -No proper F & B outlet. -Very limited menu for breakfast. -There is no proper car park. -Accessibility from open area cum car park to lobby and rooms not convenient for elderly n handicap guest.

On the pricey side but worth it”
At first I was upset cause I thought my partner had booked the wrong hotel and for the price I wasn't impressed. However staff were super helpful and the whole hotel was very clean my only faults was breakfast was not to my taste.The pool is open all night which is great for me as a red head I can swim at night when it's hot and not risk burning.

It can't be better!”
Already at arrival the staff approached us with their caring and made sure that everything was okay with our bungalow when they presented it to us. The bungalow was stunning! Marble floors, modern design, good king-size beds and a huge bathroom with both a tub and a big seperat shower. The bungalows connects to the beaches with a 150 meter walking path. For us that was great as the night sleep was better avoiding the noice from the bars along the beach. We felt that the owner really personally involves himself so that every guest at his facility feels that he is welcomed and enjoys his stay. The hotel shuttle was offered to take us to wherever we wanted in the nearest surroundings. We can highly reccomend this hotel!
