Exceptional”
The breakfast was ample and delicious. Never ate so much breakfast. The variety was good and they change the menu everyday which makes it so good. The staff are all so friendly and approachable. At one time, I was asking them questions and they were super busy and yet they were so accommodating. Always so cheerful and always smiling despite their busy schedule. The rooms, the toilets, the showers, the dressing rooms are so clean. The whole atmosphere in that hostel is so warmth with the deco and the people. I would definitely stay there again when I am in Kyoto, 5 mins walk to the train station. Room with proper double bed and very clean”
The hotel has true size double bed in the bedroom and that means we don't have to fight for space in the night. The share toilets and bathrooms are very clean and there is also a bath available if you want it. The kitchen area is very clean and is looked after throughout the day by staff. The breakfast was very good during our stay with Japanese (rice, miso soup, salad, pickles) and western food (bread, omelette, jam, chocolate spread) and coffee and tea. The washing machines and dryers were very handy, the gas-powered dryer is very efficient. We hired bikes to go around town and they are good bikes with locks and gears and the price was very reasonable.

I didn't expect much because it was a hostel and it completely blew me away, it was phenomenal. Tbh it had the best pillow and mattress of all the places we stayed in (this was our only hostel, we stayed in hotels). Although the much-bigger-than-double-sized mattress takes up 80% of the room (we stayed in a private double bed), it wasn't such a nuisance if you put your suitcase underneath the bed. The bathroom (on every floor) and showers (on the ground floor) were kept very clean. The staff were extremely welcoming and resourceful, always willing to help. The hostel was also very close to Kyoto station. I highly recommend staying here!!

Great Value, Good Vibes and a Good Location”
Located next to Kyoto Station, the hostel is a good base to explore Kyoto via bus or train on both JR and private railways. The double room I booked was comfortable and comes TV and a sink. Wi-Fi was reliable and there was laundry facilities as well without the need to pack washing powder. They also have okonomiyaki, takoyaki parties where guests could break ice. The parties cost 100 yen to enjoy thefood but you could hang around and order coffee, tea, umeshu, beer or cocktail from the bar as well for less than 500 yen. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had an enjoyable stay at the hostel.

Great breakfast, facilities and very accessible”
I enjoyed my 3 nights stayed in this place because for one, it's super accessible. You're 5 minutes walk from Kyoto station and from there, you can literally go anywhere, bus station, Shinknsen, metro, jr trains are all there. The second awesome thing is their breakfast. They serve breakfast of the day, and option for tea or coffee with at least 2 options for bread in a buffet style servings. The place is very clean and staff are helpful. Really recommend this place.

Fantastic place”
The location was superbly near Kyoto Station, which made our traveling so convenient. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was nice, even just plain rice with their sesame topping was so nice. And when we had to leave earlier than their breakfast time, they were so helpful to pack some bread for us to bring to go the next morning. Even though toilets and shower was shared space, it was always clean. Shower was hot and with good water pressure. Rooms were small but everything else made up for it.

Super cosy room & lovely breakfast ”
In love with this hostel! The room was small & cosy. It may be difficult to even walk if you have large luggage. The shared bathroom is very clean and they provide Dyson hairdryer!! Moreover, the breakfast was simply awesome. You may wish to go for breakfast early else you may be left with nothing to eat. It is more like buffet style and first come, first serve. Overall, love this hostel n will come back again!

The best hostel you can stayed”
This hostel easily beat the rest of the hostel. The location is strategic and it is within 10 minutes walk from Kyoto station. Next, the staff are very friendly. They prepare the breakfast in advance if they know you are going to have trip before the breakfast time. Besides that, the hostel is very clean and tidy. Definitely worth the stay no matter you are coming with family or friends.

Wonderful, best memory of my solo-travel life. ”
I've stayed 4 nights in this hostel, and I've gotta tell all of you, that's my best memory of my solo-trip life in Japan. This hostel is extremely amazing, not only because of the convenient location, but the passionate staffs, surprisingly great facilities, last but not least, - the warm-hearted and outgoing hostel stayers. If you were solo-traveler looking for new friends, PIECES hostel would be your best choice. I've met a lot of friends during my trips during the regular party night organised by the hostel. We drink beer and play janger and talk everything. It is very easier to meet new friends and I've gotta tell you and recommend you to try this hostel.

We stayed for 3 nights in total. Nice and safe and easily accessible from train station. Hostel is clean as usual、 staff are friendly. This was our 3rd time staying in Piece and I'm sure Piece is our 1st choice whenever we travel to kyoto. Our next trip to kyoto will be in Nov. So we are looking forward to book the same hostel as soon as it is opened for booking. Keep it up Piece.

My 1st trip to Japan”
The hostel is just only about 5 minutes walk away from the Kyoto JR Station (Hachijo Exit), its very convenient once you locate it (as its located in a small alley its easily missed for the 1st timers). Other than that everything is superb, the staffs are friendly, there is (delicious) light breakfast provided everyday, the toilets and bath rooms are always clean, there is washing and drying machines and most of all my favorite they have a open air terrace on the 3rd flr.

I love Piece Hostel Kyoto. The location is near Kyoto Station about 500meters. Near KYOTO AVANTI (terminal of kosoku bus) if you plan to ride the night bus going to tokyo. They allowed us to leave our luggage on the day of check out up to 12mn. They allowed us also to take a shower the night before we leave for tokyo. We have peaceful stay for 3nights. Staff are very accomodating and approachable. Unlimited coffee and Barley Tea. Bed was so comfy and can fit for two people. It was an amazing stay. I will recommend it to my friends and I will surely stay here again soon.

Amazing Hostel”
The hostel was situated at a spitting distance from Kyoto station. Had a nice and clean common area. Breakfast was extremely satisfying and saved me money given the total price of the hostel is extremely competitive despite there being hostels that have no breakfast and charge the same price for a room. Beds were large and toilets were extremely clean. Staff was extremely helpful !!

We saved a lot of money having breakfast at our accommodation. Super convenient location next to Kyoto station. A nice touch is the robot hotel very close to the hostel. It’s fun seeing the dinosaurs everyday as you walk to the station 😂

Convenient clean and comfortable stay”
Get hostel with all the essentials you need for a short trip. I travelled solo and my room had a large comfortable bed in. Extra pillows and towels are available free of charge and the breakfast was served with a smile and free coffee was readily available. Would recommend for those looking for a low cost easy stay.

Exceptional”
I was here for only one night, but I still had a great stay. The room was clean and huge for me. The bathroom is located on the ground floor, but you can just use the elevator if your room is one 3rd or 4th floor. I love the hostel because it is just near the station. Thumbs up to the staff too!! God bless.

Always a comfortable stay”
Stayed here on my pregious travel to Japan, and Will always come back to this place. Staff are very accommodation- they helped me in contacting another hostel for my lost item, gave me take away for breakfast since I will be leaving early the next day, attended to me although my stay already passed. An unexpected fun takoyaki night with other hostel guests on Mondays!

Best hostels in Kyoto!!!”
If you took JR everyday, this hostel has wonderful location for you. Only five minutes from the hostel gate to the JR platform. However, if you prefer to take bus, then you may take more time from this hostel. That's because Kyoto train station is really huge, go from the south gate (the hostel near south gate) to bus station (most of them near the north gate) may take extra 5 minutes by your foot~ However, this hostel is still my fav in Kyoto, I would like to stay here more times when I visit Kyoto~

We had a very pleasant stay in Piece hostel and one of the reasons we had a great time in Kyoto! Didn’t encounter any problems despite being our first time to stay in a shared shower and bathroom accommodation. Place was very neat and right across the Kyoto Station...very convenient!!! Staff were very pleasant. Complimentary breakfast was great! Would love to stay here again!

THIS IS THE BEST HOSTEL I'VE EVER STAYED! ”
This place is so good! The hospitality from the staffs were amazing! They handle you one by one, explain to you slowly, and the facilities of this place are the best. From the free breakfast (which really simple but delicious meal), the laundry, the free extra pillows, free towel, even the general changing room is so cozy! The place also near to Kyoto Station. So I'll definitely back to this hostel for my future stay! Thumbs up!
