RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka
Umeda,Osaka - View on map
"We stayed at the "Run of House" room in the RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka for 4nights this time and we highly recommend it for family travelling with children. When we made the booking, we understood in general that it was hard to find a hotel room big enough in Japan so we were only looking for somewhere with a relatively larger room - we didn't realize what we booked in RIHGA was actually a Suite. It offered enough beds for everyone and a huge family bath/shower room. In addition, it has an extra living room (yes, that's correct!!), and an extra toilet room, which was a big nice surprise to all of us - and it was all reasonablely priced. RIHGA hotel itself is a grand hotel with quite a few nice restaurants and shops. Staff at the RIHGA are all very nice and speak good English. We would certainly like to come back in future."

Swissotel Nankai Osaka
Namba,Osaka - View on map
"Swissotel Nankai Osaka is definitely one of the best hotels I have stayed in in Japan - it is to me on par with Frasers Residence Nankai Osaka, with the only exception being Frasers Residence has washing machines in their apartments, which are super convenient. First of all, the location. The hotel is located right above Namba Station. If you are taking the Rapit or Nankai Airport Express, the hotel entrance is on the left of the Central exit. If you have lots of luggage to carry, there is a hotel phone on Platform 9 - just call and they will come down to help you with your luggage! Namba Station is also the intersection for other subways, including Midosuji line. It is a great base to explore Osaka and Kyoto from. Next is the room size. I can safely say it is the biggest hotel room I have stayed in Japan before (and I have been to Japan numerous times, trying out various hotels like Tokyo Metropolitan Hotel). The rooms are newly renovated in 2011 and has cool amenities like a Nespresso coffee machines. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom well appointed. My only grouse is that if you do not completely finished a tube of toiletries, they would not replace it with a new one. I ended up with no shower gel at one time when I left an almost empty tube of shower gel in the shower and the Housekeeping did not replace it with a new one. The service at the hotel is also excellent - I was served twice by Concierge, who was knowledgeable and spoke very good English. She recommended us to lunch places even as far as Kyoto and gave us specific instructions down to the subway ticket price. Everyone from the FOA to the Bellboy was courteous and friendly - this hotel by far has the best service I've ever experienced on a holiday."

Art Hotel Osaka Baytower
Bay Area,Osaka - View on map
"This is one of the best hotels we stayed while in Japan. We stayed in a delux triple room which had three single beds and plenty of space. The hotel is new with excellent service. The hotel is connected to JR Bentencho station via a walk way which was easy to find. There is also a Family Mart opposite the hotel. Plenty of restaurants nearby with reasonable prices. We will definitely come back to this hotel the next time we are in Osaka. "

Hotel Plaza Osaka
Juso,Osaka - View on map
"Japan hotel accom is expensive, so the Plaza is a little dated but the sheets and towels, carpet and bathrooms are immaculately clean the water pressure is excellent and hot! The view from the higher floors back over the Yodo River to Osaka is excellent. The lobby has 3 or 4 free internet pc's and is pretty opulent and neat for a Japan 3 star hotel. Contrary to one of the reviews I red it was quite soundproof in my room on the 16th floor anyhow. Juso is on the other side of the river to Osaka city but it has a great vibe that is more relaxed and less pressure and Juso goes off at night till the early hours the hotel is a 3 minute walk from the Juso Friendly street which is the main mall opposite the railway station. Hilton Osaka
Umeda,Osaka - View on map
"Great location: It's location opposite to JR Osaka Station. There're many shopping malls and restaurants around. You can take Kansai Airport Limousine to Herbis Osaka Hotel which is just 4-5 mins walk to Hilton Hotel. If time matches, this Limousine provides drop off / pick up point at Hilton 4-5 times per day. High standard facilities: The room is relatively big as compared with other hotels in Japan. All facilities are well-equipped and in good condition. The room is clean and tidy. Best customer service: The staff are helpful and efficient. They are willing to offer help whenever and whatever you want. All of them can speak good English. In sum, my family is satisfied with our stay in Hilton."

InterContinental Hotel Osaka
Umeda,Osaka - View on map
"My wife and I stayed here for three nights during our month-long trip to Japan. We were mostly staying in mid-range accommodation for our trip, so we decided to stay a night at the InterContinental Osaka for a treat. It was amazing. Upon checkin, the super friendly staff upgraded us to a corner suite, which had the most incredible views of the Osaka cityscape. As soon as we saw the room, we immediately booked two more nights – it was literally that good. The room was HUGE, with a true king bed (not two single beds pushed together) looking out at the city and the river. The bathroom had a big deep bathtub with a tray so you could take a bath, enjoy a cup of tea, and stare at the view. The room wasn’t ultra-modern, but had more of a classic look with tasteful artworks and furnishings. It was all kept impeccably clean by the housekeeping staff. The buffet breakfast was possibly the best hotel breakfast experience I have ever had – it was a true five star dining experience. It is worth going to bed hungry, just so you can wake up and actually do justice at a breakfast like that. The dining room has floor-to-ceiling windows, with amazing views. The staff were particularly outstanding, friendly and attentive without getting in your way. The only downside is that if you stay at a place like this, it’s going to ruin everywhere else for you. Once you’ve tasted luxury, it’s hard to go back."

Hotel Mielparque Osaka
Shin Osaka,Osaka - View on map
"The room size was small, but this is standard for Japanese hotels. It was very clean with fast LAN internet connection. The hotel was just a 5 minute walk from Shin-Osaka, and very easy to find. I chose to stay here because I was connecting to Kyoto and Kobe, and needed to catch the train from Shin Osaka. Easy access to public transportation was also a factor in my choice, as subway lines and train lines all pass through Shin Osaka. "
