The hotel was conveniently located about midway between the ferry and town. There were lots of buses and transit vehicles running 24 hours a day so you can come and go as you please. The breakfast was good but simple and repetitious so a long stay may get a bit boring in a long stay.

right on the beach. i have stayed at several pousadas in this part of the world and the rooms are very simple whitewashed affairs. bed comfortable, tv and air conditioning. the style is very simple, don't expect luxury. staff friendly and helpful. little english spoken. rates similar to other pousadas that i have stayed in here. the only negative was that the wifi did not work but it was probably not a bad thing as it forced me to head into town (arrraial) and use the several internet cafes there and that allowed me to meet more people and have a few interesting encounters. it was possible to get back from arraial to the pousada late at night on a motorbike taxi and during the day in the bus or vans that run on rua balsa regularly. just stand opposite the hotrl and wave down a van or bus - 2r to arraial.
