Cozy hotel undergoing major expansion”

The resort is right on the main road into Khao Yai National Reserve, and there are many restos and attractions along this road. There is a small parking lot in the front lot which fits about 6-8 cars. While we were there though, they were undergoing a major expansion on the front and right side, which was not mentioned on agoda. The room itself is cozy and clean, there is available wife, the amenities are by L-Occitaine. The room doors open with a regular key on a keychain. There is a small rectangular pool by the main building. No fitness room. The breakfast spread was limited but staples like bread and cereal, rice porridge, sausages, egg station, rice and a few dishes were available and we left quite satisfied. There were quite a few flies so we had to keep our hands busy shooing them away as we ate. Overall though, this resort gives good value for money and is a pleasant place to come back to while touring around Khao Yai area.

Cute place at a Good Location”

We came here after a long drive from Baan Suan Noi Resort (Hobbit Hotel), and were surprised to see such a nice garden-ish feel hotel in the heart of the Mu Si Town, which is right beside Scenical World Theme Park! Its also a short drive away from Khao Yai National Park. The outside looks like an English Garden Villa, but the rooms are modern and clean. The breakfast that was included is nice. Only setback is that there are slight stains on the wall of the bathroom and there are lack of lighting in it

Cosy getaway”

Our visit was from Sunday to Tuesday and we enjoyed a nice and relaxing visit in the pool villa. The villa was beautifull, but missed kitchenware if you would prefer to kook and/or eat in the villa (which we didnt need for our short stay). Location is great for families: khao yai national park, scenical world (next doors), primo piazzo. Would come back just for the private pool and the friendly staff.

Short stay in beautiful surroundings”

Overall the stay was good, however the construction works on both sides of the property were somewhat annoying when we were hoping for some peace and quiet. We guess this will be a temporary factor and that the next few months will see an end to the building works. The Prairie Hills Resort is centrally situated for our short Khao Yai holiday, we can well recommend a stay at these accommodations.

Good location/ comfort”

I have a great stay there. The room is cute and clean. Location is very good as close to the national park also many restaurants around. The bed is soft, and bathroom is beautiful. The overall decoration is impressive. I will come here again if I come to khao yai

Comfortable stay at Prairie Hills”

Good: - Good and serene location, near a few tourist attractions in Khao Yai. - Room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfy. - Toiletries were available and replenished daily (if you ask to clean your room) - While there were stairs to climb, there is a bellboy who helped to carry our luggages up to our room. - Staff are approachable and polite. They would greet us with smiles every morning. Special mention to the 3 staff on duty on 11 Dec 2018 morning (Kaison, Siriluk and Weeraya). We had problems unlocking our luggage and brought it down to the reception counter. 3 of them went the extra mile to find tools and tried to use it to open our luggage. Very patient in the process too. Thumbs up to the good service! Can be improved: - More variety for breakfast (there was a live cooking station for eggs (eg: scrambled, omelette etc) during the weekends but sadly it was not available on weekdays.

Exceptional”

A wonderful and clean getaway. Quiet and yet not too far from the attractions in Khao Yai. Service staff were very pleasant and friendly. Beds were comfortable and the resort was in good condition.

Nice pleasant stay”

Dont expect a large or fancy hotel. If that is something you want, then you looking at the wrong hotel. There are plenty in Khao Yai if that is what you want. But its a lovely place and the location is super. Lots of places are easily accessible on foot. A massage centre, Prime 19 (pace for awesome grills & steaks), water park, and convenience stores. Dont know if they offer meals as we never looked to that as an option. Only had breakfast in the hotel which was a no frills standard breakfast. But there are plenty of good restaurants around the place. The rooms and bathrooms were nice and clean. The beds were cosy and the sleep quality was great. They were large enough for our 6 year old to tuck in with us. Staff were attentive and we found them responsive to our needs. I would recommend the place for those who would like a nice cozy place that does break your bank for your extended weekend getaways.

Our First TIme”

The Salwater pool was wonderful. Everything is great except for the construction going in around the resort. Its near in almost all attractions in Khao Yai. We love it.

One of good resorts in Khao Yai”

Near to the National Khao Yai's entrance. Very nice staffs always gave us not only the best services on everything but aslo their sincere smile. There is a long salt pool including the children pool area. Unfortunately, there has been an uncompleted construction area in the front of the resort and next to the resort.

Exceptional”

I love that Prairie Hills is small, the staff from the guard to the cleaner and customer relations are very friendly. The garden is simply beautiful, well kept and i love all they have done to it. The design and structure of the whole place is amazing, it was carefully thought of and functional. it's so cute and simply beautiful.

Khao Yai Marathon”

Stayed here for the Khao Yai marathon and it is in a prime location. Perfect for a weekend getaway and lots of food places nearby

Very good”

A very basic rustic boutique hotel that has 16 rooms on a 2 storey building. Only a small swimming pool. Beautiful garden and quiet environment except for occasional trucks driving in to scenical world theme park which is just next door. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy but pillows need to sun or change to get rid of musky smell. Water pressure in the shower is weak and mixer occasionally changes between cold and hot, making bath time a challenge. Breakfast is simple with delicious porridge served. Fresh salad and fruits daily. Staff are friendly and service oriented. If guests don’t mind rustic basic amenities, Prairie hills might meet guests’ expectations. Centrally located to most attractions too. Khaiyao is an agriculture and nature place to visit. Not much vibrancy and food are quite costly at these attractions.

Great hotel”

Thoroughly enjoyed out stay. The rooms are very clean and modern. The hotel is conveniently located around 5km from the national park. The breakfast is good, although I would say it's aimed at locals as opposed to westerners. There is also a lot of building work currently going on around the hotel, which obviously caused some unwelcomed noise.

Beautiful hotel & Value for money ”

The hotel is located close to restaurants, tourist attractions and the National Park. The room was spacious and beautiful. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We had a great time staying here and will be back next time !

Staff are unable to communicate in English”

We booked the villa that has a private pool and it was really pretty and big. Venue is just along the main streets, with night market, 24 -Hours convenient store and food within walking distance. However, we faced a lot of problems trying to communicate with the staff. As there is a dining area, there were no plates or utensils, so we called to front desk to request for them. When we finished our dinner, we intended to wash them ourselves, only to realize that they do not provide washing liquids or sponge. Hence, we had to call for them to collect the dirty plates and utensils from our room in case it attracts insects or pests. Unfortunately, the person at front desk simply said that they do not speak English and it's the end of conversation. When we tried calling in to ask for an additional floor mat, so that we will not wet the room when we get out of the pool, they said that it will incur and additional charge. When we asked for extra bath towels, there will also be additional charges. There were other incidents of us calling in to ask for help with the television which has really bad reception, they will also answer us with "I don't understand English". Even though the resort itself is clean, there are a lot of millipedes and centipedes crawling around the whole area. Thankfully they don't enter the rooms. So do not be alarmed if you see a whole lot of moving black/brown lines flooding the floor when you enter the hotel. Or it might be due to the season?

2nd chance ”

Overall, it was alright. The manager was accommodating enough to give us complimentary extra blankets due to cold weather thou initially he insisted we need to pay for extra blankets. I strongly feel unless this is a budgeted hotel where everything extra has to pay, this Prairie Hills shouldn't charges extra for such basic amenities as the hotel room rates doesn't come cheap. Unless they want to download themselves from 4-star hotel. The breakfast are terrible not to mentioned such limited choices. I would rate their breakfast as 2-star. If they can improve their breakfast & increase the menu choice, I wouldn't coming again. It's more like a boutique hotel whereby it's not over populated as they only have 16 rooms, and it does offer peaceful and relaxing surroundings.

very cosy resort with good-enough and tasty breakfast spread ”

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Cleaning of the room was also done very well. Although the room looks old, it’s really cosy for our little family and I liked that the poolside room comes with a day bed. Also looked forward to the breakfast - simple but tasty and good-enough spread. Croissants are especially good and their pork porridge too. They changed one of their main dish Everyday during our stay there - stir fry glass noodle, fried rice, bee hoon etc. Also liked that there’s a small garden with swings, little house in a sandpit at the back of the resort for children to explore. The little house is filled with cobwebs though but the sandpit is still good. We didn’t get to swim in the saltwater pool although we would have if not for the cool weather

Near Khao Yai National Park. About 10minutes drive to the entrance. Hotel is clean room is big. But staff English is limited.

Nice room with very attentive staff. Basic breakfast selection. Convenient location to access the National Park.
