Family Friendly Resort in Laid Back Sanur”

My family with two young children stayed at the Prama Sabur Beach Bali Hotel in April 2017, for 6 nights. The location was fantastic, being right on the beach which has a gentle gradient. The resort is nestled among other resorts and a plethora of restaurants, shops, bars and spas. We love Sanur for it's old world, laid back feel, quite different from the frenetic sophistication of Seminyak or Canggu. The traffic here is also really light most of the time and we never had any of the dreadful traffic jams we have experienced elsewhere. We had a fourth floor room with direct views of the pool and the beach. It was lovely waking up early to experience the sunrise in the cool of the morning. The two pools were of very good size, with one of them designed for children and featuring an artificial beach and a set of straight and helical slides that the children loved. The staff were more than friendly and helpful and we wanted for nothing. If there is any negative point about the Prama, it is their food. We ate breakfast there only once and never again. We found it expensive for what was offered at the buffet . It was clearly mass catering with featureless cooked food, limp waffles, dry pancakes and the lowest grade of jams possible (the type that looks like coloured gel with absolutely no fruit inside of it). There were endless options for breakfast along the beach or on the main street outside so we weren't stuck for choice. There was an Easter Sunday buffet lunch at the Italian restaurant. The food was reasonably good, but very expensive for Bali. The saving grace was that kids under 12 ate for free and there was an Easter party for kids, with egg painting, treasure hunt, bashing a pinata, gift bags and refreshments, all very well organised for the kids. We would come back to the Prama Sanur if we wanted another beach holiday in Bali.

Highly Recommend”

The hotel's location in Sanur Beach is superb with a gorgeous beach and a short stroll from numerous restaurants and 'warungs', ATMs/money changers and other shops. The staff were really friendly - at reception, those tending to the beautiful gardens and in the restaurants, also security where we parked our scooters. Our room was on the 3rd floor sea facing so had a lovely view over the garden and the sea between the palms. Our room was clean and in good condition. The shower en-suite was a little small but adequate. Overall the facilities are excellent and well cared for especially the swimming pools (the water was clear), breakfasts well catered for and generous and great entertainment. Having been to Bali before and stayed at Nusa Dua and Ubud I opted for Prama Sanur Beach hotel this time. I would definitely go back.

great value and fantastic facilities in sanur”

Its was my third time staying with Prama Sanur Beach Hotel. This time I visited with my six years old daugther. We had a blast. The hotel is a beachfront property with mini waterpark, kids club, and plenty of restaurant options within walking distance. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. It has plenty of gazebos, and places to relax. Prama Sanur Hotel has always suprises me with their extra care of attention for their guests to fill comfortable and taken care of. Sanur is also a good place to do watersports such as paddle boarding, surf, paraglidding, etc. I also recommend a local yet vibrant western asian fussion restaurant called Batu Jimbar Cafe. Its a must cafe for me to dine in when im in Sanur area. The food is AMAZING and the staff are so friendly. As for driving aroud Bali I recommen hiring car+driver with Astra Trac Rental Car. They have alot of brand new clean car options with proffesional yet punctual service. The drivers are always so polite and informative

They make you feel welcome from the start”

We've been travelling as a family with two toddlers (2.5 years and 1.5 years) and my parents, so booked two rooms. We booked last minute, the day we checked in, changing accommodation while on Bali. The welcome at Prama can't be faulted, someone took our luggage for us, wonderful greeting by staff, welcome drink, got upgraded to accommodate for neighboring rooms, everything perfect. We paid less than AUS 100 per room per night. Excellent value for money. During our stay however, I'd say it's a "Bali" 5 star hotel: You don't quite get what you expect, only almost. But this is complaining on a very high level. And we certainly got what we paid for - and more. Little hiccup: We booked and paid for a roll away bed in our room, but due to being upgraded to a club room with king sized bed, they said the roll away is not available there. We only found this out after the first night, no refund was offered, and we didn't ask for one either, since we've been given a free breakfast by the hotel, by mistake. Pro: Convenient services are available through the hotel, such as taxi service, free shuttle to Sanur shopping, doctor on call 24/7, kids play room, great kids pool, spa. If you're looking to relax, get others to do the work for you, get out of the hussle and still have everythng at your fingertips, then the Prama is for you. Some services are way overpriced though (taxi, laundry). But you do get the convenience of a private clean (!) beach and nobody trying to sell anything to you, unless you visit one of the nice little shops on site. We'll be back.

Older Resort but very nice”

We spent 9 days at the Prama Sanur Beach Bali Hotel - myself and my partner in a room and my elderly mother in another - we opted for the more expensive Deluxe Seaview Rooms which over look the main pool and the ocean. The other options were a Garden View Room (which was mid range) which do over look very lovely garden areas and the cheapest were the Standard Room which are at the Lobby and entrance end of the resort (furthest away from the pool and ocean but closer to the restaurants and shops. We did have a peek inside all the room options as we walked past them when they were being cleaned and all look very adequate and all had a balcony. Our rooms were very nice - my mother was on the ground floor and we had a 4th floor (highest) room - both had spacious balconies with furniture. The breakfasts are very good, very extensive and are served in the restaurant near the pool and looking out to the ocean. You can pay for the breakfasts as you go for US16 pp if you didn't want it every day. There are 2 pools at the resort, both near the ocean end of the resort - one if the main adult pool with swim up bar and the other is for children of all ages with a great set up for smaller kids with a water playground. There are a lot of sun lounges and umbrellas at both pools and also loads on the beach which is very nice and the water is good for swimming but is tidal. The main pool is a little tired but still very very nice and also has a great step system right into the bottom of the pool with handrails etc which was great for Mum as she is 84 and needs a little help getting in/out the water. The coastal path runs right outside the resort and is great for a walk with lots of options for eats/drinks along the whole length. They also offer a great free bus service that leaves every 20 mins to Hardy's Supermarket and back (great supermarket with everything you could want/need) which was very handy and also got you into the centre of Sanur if you wanted to go shopping

We loved our 6 night stay here in January so much, that we have booked to return to The Prama Hoyel again for Xmas & New Year! The buffet breakfast food choices were varied and of good quality - our deal included brekky so this was a bonus. I liked that the hotel, whilst being upmarket, still retained a Balinese feel to it, with well laid out landscaping and extensive grounds to walk through. I liked that there were 2 distinct pool areas, with the "Adult" one having a swim up bar. It looked like small children were well catered for too with their own pool and fun activities. Great that we could hire bikes to ride along the beach walkway. Reasonably priced. Loved having a private beach area and Warung Seahorse and Bamboo Lounge, plus the Pizza Hut to eat at and being so close at hand. The daily Kuta shuttle and the half hourly one to Hardys in Sanur were a bonus too. We also used the Hotel Limo service to go into Kuta and the 100,000Rp charge was actually less than our taxi fare return! Having The Aroma Retreat Spa on site, was another feature I liked and used on my last day, with a 20% discount for hotel guests. Plenty of wardrobe space and drawers for clothing. Very good lighting in the room ( I can't stand dimly lit rooms). Bathroom a little small but adequate in our Standard Room. The only real negative was that our air conditioning wasn't as cold as we would've liked, and even though there were inroom controls, it didn't appear to make much difference. Overall, we certainly felt that we "Got Bang for our Buck"! Thank you Agoda and the Prama.

Great family vacation ”

We spent 7 days at Prama Sanur beach and this way a good way to end our vacation in Bali. This is a big hotel with 2 pools, next to the beach in a quiet environment. There are enough sun beds for everyone and dedicated pool area for kids. Breakfast, location close to restaurants, the rooms we enjoyed everything. Only the service at the beach restaurant can be improved as it was often quite slow but compensated by the view. We would definitely go there again.

Good value beach hotel”

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Prama. To my surprise this is the same hotel my late husband and I stayed on our honeymoon 34 years ago.In those days the hotel was very famous and was called Sanur Beach hotel. There were cottages and we stayed in one of them. This is the second time I was back in Sanur and this time I came with my 2 adult children. We were served a welcome drinks on arrival. Check in was swift and staff were smiley and friendly. We were upgraded to a sea view room. Room and bathroom were clean and tidy and full of all the amenities. The decor and tiles could be improved as it reminds me in the 80s. I felt a bit nostalgic. Some of the carpets were stained in public areas, could do with deep cleaning. Location is great, just a short walk to cafes, restaurants and good massage places. The hotel is big and the garden is lovely but I did not see many young people staying there. I like Sanur as it is calm and relaxing. All staff were helpful. The duty manager helped me with the bike tour booking as I had problems with my phone, so thank you very much. I will stay in this hotel again as it is relaxing but for my adult children, I think they prefer Kuta or Seminyak.

Very Big Western Style Accommodation ”

Sanur Beach hotel is very well known in Bali and is a great place to stay if you do not want to feel like your necessarily "in" Bali. The place is very clean and a great deal of effort has been made to make it feel like a "western style" resort. The resorts has numerous pools and tennis courts. Has very friendly staff and hosts event nights such as traditional dance dinner evenings etc. The resort is very comfortable and has a very lavish international buffet breakfast. The resort is predominately families and is a great place to keep kids occupied. Personally we stayed in Sanur as a "wind down" for a few days before our flight home to Australia and it was perfect for that being close to Denpasar etc. The area of Sanur is the better area of the three large beach areas on mainland Bali (Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur). Less people hassling you. It has a relatively quiet nightlife (nowhere near as busy as Kuta). The restaurant quality in the area is good and the shopping is much the same as Kuta and Seminyak.

Fabulous stay in Sanur Beach Hotel”

I had a great stay in Sanur Beach Hotel. Staff were super friendly. Everyone we met along the way greeted us with a big smile. Our suite room was real big. Although hotel is old with older furniture, they more than made up for that with a very well maintained & clean room. Private beach was awesome. Olympic size swimming pool was superb. Breakfast area was huge with a great view as well. Some good choices. Nothing bad to say about the hotel. If they can upgrade the furniture, think this will become a much better hotel. Overall totally enjoyed my stay in this hotel. I only moved to Sanur after spending 3 nights in Kuta. Due to the continuous rain & dirty beaches in Kuta, I thought my trip to Bali was ruined till I moved to Sanur Beach Hotel. The place was just amazing. Wished we could have spent more time in Sanur though. I will highly reccomend this hotel to anyone. Was well worth the money. They had this Spa place which looked like really good although very expensive, but I couldn't try it out as they were fully booked.

Fantastic 3 nights stay at Prama Sanur”

We were stay at Prama Sanur for 3 nights, and we traveling with my cousin and nephew whose first trip to Indonesia. My trust to Prama Sanhr was not wrong. I am very pleased with the hospitality of the staffs. Even though their customers are locals,they show great staff performance and hospitality. They even notice that during the stay was my birthday. They gave me a birthday cake! Thank you Prama Sanur for marvelous stay. The only thing that might considered is to restored your rooms as it comes to its age,but keep your Balinese style as the trademark of local hotels and hospitality.. Thank you Prama Sanur.

Exceptional”

We have just got back from Bali . we were on a family holiday ,with our children and grandchildren ,staying at the Prama Sanur Beach . We have stayed there before and as usual they could not do enough for us . The staff were wonderful , manager staff of bamboo bar and the staff at reception especially Anna who took great care of us . I would so recommend this hotel , We are so looking forward to our next stay

Very pleasant and marvelous 3 night stay”

Same as my previous review that we have 3 nights enjoyable stay at Prama Sanur Hotel. Their staffs hospitality was very good they were not differentiating between locals and the western. Definitely will be back again to Prama Sanur. One feedback from me,need restoration for the rooms. Other than that everything (breakfast, staff performance,location, and the beach) is marvelous.

It is on the beach under trees at beautiful Sanur , restaurants everywhere and great entertainment on the beach each night. The pools are amazing beach or pool you have the choice. Rooms very good nice beds bathroom small but functional staff exceptional . A great place to unwind after exploring the real Bali with Baliboutique tours.

Prama Beach Hotel”

Our stay at Prama Sanur Beach hotel was fantastic. The staff were extremely courteous, friendly and efficient. The Bamboo bar is a must to have a drink or food and the other 2 restaurants were of excellent quality. The pools and beach areas were spotless and well managed by the staff. No non-hotel guests were tolerated around the facility. The rooms were a little dated but otherwise clean and up to standard. Definitely a 5 star rating

8 days of bliss in Paradise”

When you feel you are well overdue to get away from it all what better place than Bali. Prama Sanur has been a delight: staff are very friendly and no request is too difficult; pools are clean with variety (kids area, water features, deep end/shallow end) and there are servers on rollerblades to bring food and drinks; rooms are clean, the WiFi works and there are many TV channels to choose from; well appointed fitness centre. Highlights include the beautiful grounds, lying by the pool or on the beach and drinking cocktails😍.

Great Holiday”

Arriving at the airport took a little time to find the driver for airport transfer as their were so many and I asked a couple of the drivers and they quickly helped me find the driver for Sanur Beach Hotel dont be shy to ask Bali people are very helpful and polite and off we went with help for me and my 2 young girls 10 years and a 7 year old into the vehicle arriving at Hotel with greeting orange juice which even the 10 year old enjoyed quickly checked in and portered to our room we were a little hungry and room service was very fast with very tasty club sandwiches great For the next 7 mornings breakfast was included the breakfast cook cooking omletes and pancakes is so worth it from what you chose to cooking it fresh in front of you is entertaining to say the least and very tasty as well kids loved it and did not feel hungry untill lunch this is my second holiday to Sanur Beach Hotel and i will be here again next year great place I love it and the kids did not want to leave their best part was the 2 great size swimming pools

Good location, great pools”

We had booked a room with garden view and were initially disappointed when our room overlooked an old tin kitchen roof with multiple air/cooking ducts . However, when we brought this to the attention of staff, we were given a lovely ground floor room in a garden setting, close to the pools. The room itself was a little dated but comfortable. The gardens are huge and beautifully maintained, the pools are amazing although the tiles around the larger pool get incredibly hot, and the breakfast, in particular the coffee, was great. The restaurants at the resort are expensive but just outside the resort grounds, we found a gem - the Retro Beach Restaurant, set on the beach and with absolutely delicious food and friendly staff ... it was awesome! Our 4 day stay was superb! From staff, to food, the pools, the beach (and water sports!), kids club, down to the little reauests we asked for! Only thing that I would say needs improvement on was our room. It was dated although regularly kept clean. The bathroom/toilet was too small for our liking. Barely could move. There were also tiny cockroaches lingering at night when you turn off the lights so we had to keep the lights on 24/7. The exhaust fan also barely functioned. Other than that, marvelous experience. Everything we needed were provided, if not, exceeded our expectations even. Thank you, Prama Sanur, we will be back. Maybe in a different room this time :)

Great resort!”

We just arrived back home and the Prama Sanur was just great. We where in a "deluxe garden" with our girls (4yo and 16months) room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was really nice, egg station, waffles, pancakes, different breads and rolls, delicious jam, fruit, cereal and a good selection of cooked dishes, bacon, sausages, cheese... Kids pool with two really nice slides, the girls just love it!! the direct access to the beach is great and the restaurants really nice Walking by the beach we found really nice places to eat. Last day after check out they provide us a room for the last shower before the flight. I would totally recommend this place
