This is the 3rd time we have been to Maldives and 1st time to stay in Radisson Blu Resort Maldives. We have really enjoyed staying in this resort because of the following reasons: 1. The resort is not over crowded and the condition is new. We had privacy. 2. The over water villa is the best over water villa that we have been to because its huge for a couple (approx 250sqm), it has big balcony with its own (big) pool (with magnificent sunset view), your own access to the beach, a net where you can lounge and take nice photo, huge toilet with bath tub, comfortable bed, its own living room, its own walk in closet, etc! 3. The staff are very helpful and have the best customer service. Special mention to the following staff: Our room boy Allu, who helped us with so many things while staying in the resort. Even when we are back in Singapore, he messaged us and wants to make sure that we are home safe. Lya, Prasad, Luna, Narayan from Raha - They are very helpful and made our dining experience a good one. They already knew what we usually eat and made sure that we are dining in peace. And Alejandra, the one who fetch us in our villa during our check out time. She is very helpful and very accommodating. She even provided us a "woman thing" (time of the month tho) from her own personal stock. And oh by the way, before our arrival day, we have been communicating with the resort and I just want to thank the people who is replying our email. They respond very fast and it gives us peace of mind Best customer service for this team!!! (give credit when credit is due tho) 4. Super value for money - the price that we have paid for this resort is super worth it. 5. From the arrival from Male airport to resort and resort to Male airport are hassle free as there are staff who guided us throughout! Amazing place to take a break from current world madness. Staff is extremly nice and helpful. Water villas are a true gem. Surrounding sea water included. Just amazing. Even though we had some beginning difficulties with Radisson Blu global team (online customer care wasn’t really professional) the local staff solved everything and is making our stay above expectations. We would especially like to thank Reservations Agent Adam for adding extra value to this trip. And to all others in the team for being extra nice and accomodating. Big respect!

New Resort with fantastic ocean view villa and staff. ”
However, the food variety was limited due to restricted occupancy rate imposed by the Maldives government for safety reasons. Having said that, it was great to be able to roam around the resort island freely and with such a remarkable ocean view and crystal clear sea water. Lots of fishes and even black fins sharks swimming surrounding below the dining area.

New resort with great modern design. All villas have their own pool, and it's big enough to swim in. What we particularly appreciated was that villas are arranged so that the terrace is perfectly private. Food at the restaurants is expensive (like everywhere in Maldives) but the quality is very good.

Nice hotel, brand new and still learning”
The hotel is just open after Maldives reopening despite the covid pandemic . The staff is very friendly and trying their best you to feel holiday spirit. Facilities are clean, new and working. What seems a bit strange is lack of trees on the island, may be due to recently finished construction. But the new trees are planted and I believe that in one year it will be wonderful place.

The resort was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were huge and spacious. The staff and services were incredible but it was an incredibly expansive place. The service was greattt. Not worth the money. Terrible service”
Hotel - the resort was way too dark at night. It seems like they were really cheap with the electricity and installing lamps for the walkways. It was almost pitch black at night. Too dangerous for riding bikes at night. The resort is big so you would be walking A LOT because although the hotel is at less than 10% capacity, there are not enough bikes for even 1/4 of the people staying. Service - needs significant improvements. I did not receive 5-star hotel service. I’ve had better service at 3-star hotels that cost less than 1/10th of the price. Anything you call for will take a ridiculous long time. We asked for no housekeeping but needed refills on some days and they always took at least 1.5 hours to bring them to us. Before checking in, Adam said he would arrange for honeymoon decorations; however, during check-in, they said they were not aware we were on our honeymoon but will arrange for bed decorations, bath, cake and champagne the next day. The next day came and we got the bed and bath decorations but no cake or champagne, which is fine but don’t set expectations you can’t meet. Food - if food is important to you then do not come until COVID is gone and travel is back to normal. There was no variety and there were only 2 restaurants serving lunch and dinner. For dinner, one was a la carte and the other was an $80 buffet. The a la carte restaurants (same menu everyday) served low quality and expensive food. We ended up upgrading to half board because we were so tired of the a la carte restaurants. Room - seriously the only thing that made my money worth it. The overwater bungalows with the private pools were stunning. The rooms were big and clean. The private infiniti pool was big too. I’m surprised vanity kits, iron and ironing boards were not provided in the room. Wifi - Incredibly slow at times

I had numerous communications with the hotel starting 2 months before the arrival. I advised multiple times that the male/female group traveling was not a couple and therefore would need two single beds rather than a shared king size bed. The hotel acknowledged the request and stated no problem. They have single beds on-site. They are standard in family suites. However, when we arrived to the room there was a king size bed. The room was filthy and the overall construction was shoddy. There were cracks in the walls that were so unsightly and sticky fingerprints everywhere. And I mean, everywhere. There were prints everywhere around the bed as if people had been engaged in certain activities that take place in a bed. Dried up drips of fluid. Was it bodily fluid? Possibly. Fingerprints on nearly every common surface, like the cabinet where you pull open the mini fridge for example. The grime was in the most obvious places. Large smudges on the sliding glass door. The room was filthy and in this condition in the age of COVID. I immediately called the front desk and they came to inspect and agreed to move us to another room where they claimed that they would also rectify the bed situation. We waited for two hours. Upon entering the new room, I laughed out loud. Instead of two single beds, they left the king bed and a so called 5-star resort thought it was acceptable to place a single mattress with a sheet ON THE FLOOR as the accommodation for a guest to sleep on? Obviously, no person in their right mind is going to come across the world and pay thousands of dollars to sleep on the floor! Thus, the unrelated non-romantic male/female travel group was forced to sleep in the same bed causing an uncomfortable experience for 5 nights. In addition, the new room still had fingerprints on the common surfaces so I still had to wipe it all down myself with the disinfectant wipes I brought on the trip. My wife and I are repeat travelers to the Maldives. We decided to go for Radisson Blu resorts as we loved the property and it did live up to it. However, what was shocking and very disappointing was the lack of professionalism, courtesy and basic politeness on the part of the staff (staff at restaurants were an exception). To illustrate a few instances: 1. It took at almost 2 hours to check in to the room after arriving at the resort 2. The house keeping services were really pathetic. The front desk had no clue or courtesy. At one instance when the housekeeping was delayed, we asked the front desk for an idea of when will they arrange for the room cleaning for the day. To our utter shock, the reception desk mentioned that they are busy checking in other guests and their priority is to arrange housekeeping for new guests over ones who have already been residing. 3. Not only were the buggy service exceptionally slow but also the buggy drivers were exceptionally rude people. Once when the buggy arrived 20 mins after we requested, we asked the buggy driver to wait for 2 mins. Again to our utter shock he said he has many other tasks to finish and hence he cannot wait!!!! 4. The check-out process was all but the most disappointing part of string of disappointing experience. Without checking or informing us, the hotel automatically booked us for 7:30 am check out when their breakfast hardly starts (which was included in our package)! And this was intimated to us at 10pm in the night, leaving us with no recourse. This is when the official check out was scheduled at 12 noon. On raising this as an issue with the front desk, the receptionist was as usual exceptionally rude and asked us to speak to our island host who was missing in action since last 2 days. On raising alarm, the hotel manager, Ms Charlene agreed to speak to us and after sometime shifted our checkout to 9.30pm.
